Some Surprises on the Day of Resurrection (2022-10-31) ​

0:00:06 extraordinary Hadith from bakari and
0:00:08 Muslim so it's sahih it's authentic it's
0:00:12 a very long Hadith but I think it's
0:00:14 tremendously important for several
0:00:16 reasons and I'll read it in a second but
0:00:18 one of the reasons is that there's a
0:00:21 misapprehension on behalf of certain
0:00:23 people non-muslims who think the only
0:00:25 way that Muslims or anyone enters
0:00:27 Paradise is through their good works
0:00:29 through the actions that they have done
0:00:32 and this Hadith addresses uh this point
0:00:34 oh there's one other thing as well it's
0:00:37 often thought that the greatest thing
0:00:39 about Paradise the most attractive thing
0:00:42 that people want to work towards are
0:00:44 mere material benefits or the pleasures
0:00:47 of the Hereafter and again the greatest
0:00:49 of all the blessings are Hereafter is
0:00:52 something quite different and this
0:00:54 Hadith at the very end addresses this
0:00:56 point as well so I'll just uh read it to
0:00:59 you as I say it is quite long but it's
0:01:01 full of most extraordinary uh detail
0:01:04 that tells us about the the day of
0:01:06 resurrection and what happens then
0:01:09 Abu harira related that the messenger of
0:01:12 God upon whom be peace said
0:01:15 on the day of Resurrection a caller will
0:01:19 cry out let every people follow what
0:01:22 they worshiped
0:01:24 they will be asked is there a sign
0:01:27 between you and him that they will let
0:01:30 you know him
0:01:31 they will say yes
0:01:34 so their legs would be uncovered and
0:01:36 Allah will give permission to all those
0:01:39 who used to prostrate to him by their
0:01:42 own free will to prostrate
0:01:45 and Allah will make those who used to
0:01:48 prostrate only to be seen by others or
0:01:51 to ward off criticism unable to
0:01:54 prostrate
0:01:56 their backs will be made as a stiff
0:01:59 Single part so whenever they try to
0:02:02 prostrate they topple on their backsides
0:02:07 then they will come upon the bridge over
0:02:10 hell and intercession will begin they
0:02:14 will murmur olr bring them to safety
0:02:18 bring them to safety
0:02:21 and the faithful ones will pass over the
0:02:24 bridge in a wink of an eye
0:02:26 others will pass like lightning others
0:02:30 like the wind others like birds others
0:02:34 like strong horses
0:02:37 some will cross over whole and safe
0:02:40 others will be sent across bruised
0:02:43 While others would be flung Into the
0:02:46 Fire of gehenna
0:02:49 by the one who holds my soul in his hand
0:02:53 none of you would be more vehement in
0:02:56 pleading for justice than the faithful
0:02:58 ones will be at the time at that time
0:03:01 for their brothers who are in the fire
0:03:05 they will say our Lord they fasted with
0:03:09 us they prayed with us they made
0:03:11 pilgrimage with us
0:03:13 he will say to them bring out of it all
0:03:17 the ones that you know
0:03:19 so their forms would be forbidden to the
0:03:22 fire as they enter it and they will
0:03:25 bring out many people until they say our
0:03:30 sustainer none are left of those you
0:03:33 have commanded us to extract
0:03:37 then he will say to them go back and
0:03:40 bring out whoever you find that has a
0:03:43 denar's worth of goodness in them
0:03:47 and they will bring out many people
0:03:51 and he will say to them go back and
0:03:55 bring out whoever you find that has half
0:03:58 a denar's worth of goodness in them
0:04:02 and they will bring out many people
0:04:05 then he will say to them go back again
0:04:09 and bring out whoever you find who has
0:04:12 an atom's weight of goodness in them
0:04:16 and they will bring out many people
0:04:20 and this will go on until they say to
0:04:23 him our Lord we have left no one in it
0:04:27 who has any trace of goodness in them
0:04:32 Allah will then declare the angels have
0:04:36 interceded and the prophets have
0:04:38 interceded and the faithful have
0:04:41 interceded
0:04:43 only the most merciful of those who show
0:04:46 Mercy is left to intercede
0:04:50 and he will bring out with his grasp the
0:04:54 people who have never done any good and
0:04:57 he will throw them into a river at the
0:04:59 mouth of paradise called the River of
0:05:03 Life
0:05:04 and they will emerge from it like pearls
0:05:09 when the people of paradise see them
0:05:12 they will know them
0:05:14 these are emancipated of God he has made
0:05:19 them into Paradise without any of their
0:05:23 own actions and without any goodness
0:05:26 that they offered
0:05:29 and God will say to them enter Paradise
0:05:33 what you have seen is yours
0:05:38 they will say our sustainer you have
0:05:41 given us what you have not given anyone
0:05:43 of the Worlds
0:05:45 he will say I have for you what is even
0:05:49 better than this
0:05:52 they will ask oh our sustainer what
0:05:56 could be better than this
0:05:58 he will say my contentment with you for
0:06:03 I shall not be displeased with you after
0:06:06 this ever again
0:06:10 and that ends the Hadith as I say from
0:06:12 bukhari and Muslims so it is certain to
0:06:15 go back to the prophet upon human BPS
0:06:17 very very moving indeed I love the way
0:06:21 we have a progressive uh showing of
0:06:23 mercy and more Mercy until even those
0:06:26 who are completely unworthy are
0:06:28 ultimately admitted by the most merciful
0:06:30 of those who have mercy and the greatest
0:06:34 thing of all that they receive is not
0:06:36 some pleasure not some house not
0:06:38 something it is the contentment of God
0:06:41 himself this peace and reconciliation
0:06:44 with a merciful god is the greatest
0:06:47 thing of all that they could possibly uh
0:06:51 experience and then God says my
0:06:54 contentment with you for I shall not be
0:06:56 displeased with you after this ever
0:06:59 again so their security their happiness
0:07:02 and their peace is permanent and forever
0:07:05 so I think it's the most extraordinary
0:07:07 Edith very very long and it tells us in
0:07:10 great detail about the character of God
0:07:12 who is the god of Islam the god of of
0:07:16 Moses Jesus and Muhammad peace be upon
0:07:18 them all and all the prophets and at the
0:07:20 end of the day he is a god of mercy and
0:07:22 a god of Grace and this this theme is
0:07:26 very very strongly reiterated again and
0:07:28 again every sir of the Quran constantly
0:07:32 throughout the whole book itself anyway
