0:00:06 we've got a new stream yard account
0:00:08 so we can't do the epic intro uh because
0:00:11 we've not
0:00:12 uploaded it to this account yet but yeah
0:00:14 salaam alaikum everybody
0:00:26 not too bad just getting on with a bit
0:00:28 of work and doing some stuff got a bit
0:00:29 of a
0:00:31 private time mrs and the little one
0:00:33 about to go to the doctors
0:00:35 for jabs so i think they're just
0:00:37 chilling
0:00:41 yeah good man i thought you know be good
0:00:43 to come on the stream
0:00:44 uh obviously to thank the brothers
0:00:48 who've been watching the brothers like
0:00:50 yourselves
0:00:51 the brothers in the background the admin
0:00:53 guys who've been helping out
0:00:54 you know courageously uh because hamdu
0:00:58 lemon we've
0:00:58 reached a thousand subs can you can you
0:01:01 believe that
0:01:02 very quickly as well we're only on uh
0:01:04 where is it this sunday is episode
0:01:06 six isn't it that's right that's right
0:01:07 so it's only been what five
0:01:09 uh five episodes doesn't it so
0:01:12 um yeah so yeah this is a
0:01:16 a brilliant thing that you know i don't
0:01:18 think i think we thought
0:01:19 we might be able to do you know quite
0:01:22 well with this
0:01:23 inshallah yeah yeah we've got a good
0:01:25 little team going and
0:01:27 but i think the issue the issue is
0:01:28 always is that you always think well
0:01:31 you know is it going to go really well
0:01:33 is it not people going to like it
0:01:35 you know or is it just going to fizzle
0:01:37 out type of thing so alhamdulillah i
0:01:39 think uh
0:01:41 you know it's good for us because good
0:01:42 motivation that you know people are
0:01:44 interested in it and
0:01:46 you know to carry on with doing this um
0:01:49 so yes that's really my thoughts just to
0:01:51 say jazakumar
0:01:52 and to the brothers involved
0:01:56 and also to the audience and i would
0:01:58 like to echo that as well so thank you
0:02:00 to everyone who has
0:02:01 uh subscribed uh like we said it's only
0:02:04 been like what two months now
0:02:06 alhamdulillah we've uh hit that next
0:02:08 target i think is um
0:02:10 what was it the 4 000 hours of watch
0:02:12 time mark
0:02:13 and then we'll get um access to the
0:02:16 community page
0:02:17 uh which means we can start posting
0:02:19 things
0:02:20 uh on on that timeline uh insha'allah
0:02:24 that should be
0:02:25 hopefully hit we hope hope hope uh
0:02:28 on the the next episode which we'll be
0:02:30 looking at the stage two
0:02:31 arguments uh of the um clam
0:02:36 so basically we've gone from arguing for
0:02:38 a necessary being
0:02:40 and then on this sunday coming up we're
0:02:42 going to start to go from
0:02:43 arguing that this necessary being is
0:02:46 god and so i'm looking forward to that
0:02:49 one as well because this whole process
0:02:50 i'm i'm learning a lot from engaging
0:02:52 with
0:02:53 you guys and uh the the streams are
0:02:56 really fun
0:02:57 um so yeah to everyone getting involved
0:03:01 we just thought we'd do a little quick
0:03:02 stream here um brother jake is with us
0:03:04 so inshallah
0:03:05 we'll let him say a couple of words we
0:03:06 did um tried to get abdul rahman
0:03:09 on but he's currently on his way to
0:03:11 getting a covert test so please keep him
0:03:14 in your duas uh may allah grant him
0:03:16 shifa
0:03:18 i mean and uh watch over him and his
0:03:20 family and
0:03:21 grant them success in both worlds so
0:03:23 brother jake uh
0:03:25 you're sorry um yeah i know you're
0:03:27 working at the moment
0:03:29 uh which is why your camera is not on
0:03:31 and uh but yeah
0:03:32 is there anything you wanted to say have
0:03:33 you got uh the ability and the time to
0:03:35 at the moment
0:03:36 yeah yeah i mean i just want to
0:03:38 reiterate what you guys have already
0:03:39 said
0:03:40 uh appreciate everybody involved in the
0:03:43 show who's you know responsible for
0:03:46 every we know who's involved
0:03:48 uh appreciate all you guys and uh
0:03:51 special shout out of course to the
0:03:53 listeners
0:03:54 um really appreciate you guys watching
0:03:57 and
0:03:57 subscribing to the channel um one
0:04:00 thousand
0:04:00 we we reached it pretty quickly uh
0:04:03 within a couple months so
0:04:05 it's pretty good yeah it's pretty good
0:04:07 achievement
0:04:08 i'm good enough and yeah just uh
0:04:11 subscribe while you can try to get into
0:04:13 the next thousand subscribers before we
0:04:16 reach two thousand
0:04:17 inshallah inshallah and yeah so i also
0:04:20 wanted to make a special
0:04:21 thank you to brother criterion uh who's
0:04:24 been running all the aesthetics and he's
0:04:26 been working hard to kind of do clips
0:04:28 and things and upload the
0:04:30 um you know the short segments of the
0:04:32 the longer conversations we've had
0:04:34 and he's doing a lot of work for us in
0:04:36 the background um
0:04:37 so you might not be too aware of him but
0:04:38 if you go on to the the tap
0:04:40 um twitter uh his
0:04:44 account is on there so do give him a
0:04:45 follow as well and just keep an eye out
0:04:47 on the things he posts because he's a
0:04:48 great brother and he posts some
0:04:49 beneficial things
0:04:51 uh so you know obviously show thanks for
0:04:53 him as well and keep him in your dua and
0:04:55 also there's a few brothers
0:04:56 uh that run in the background so we've
0:04:58 got brother masterson and brother carlin
0:05:00 uh who run social media and do a bit of
0:05:03 the admin work in the background as well
0:05:04 so manila bless them both too um
0:05:08 so just kind of moving forward we wanted
0:05:10 to obviously thank you but also to just
0:05:12 engage with you for a little minute
0:05:14 um we're not going to be on the stream
0:05:15 for too long i think we want to try and
0:05:17 limit it to maybe about 30 minutes at
0:05:18 most
0:05:19 um so if there is anything uh that you
0:05:23 would like us to kind of cover in future
0:05:25 episodes or any feedback
0:05:27 um obviously this is gonna be the
0:05:29 opportunity to
0:05:30 sort of engage with us um if you want to
0:05:33 obviously if you're in the live you can
0:05:35 just say in the the live chat now but if
0:05:36 you're watching this after the live chat
0:05:38 has concluded
0:05:39 um feel free to just add this feedback
0:05:42 um or add your comments or add your
0:05:44 requests and things like that for future
0:05:46 episodes
0:05:47 in the the comments section and
0:05:48 inshallah we will endeavor to go through
0:05:50 them we might not necessarily have time
0:05:52 to reply to every one of them
0:05:53 um but we will be reading them and we i
0:05:56 think we're gonna
0:05:57 set up like a little uh spreadsheet or
0:05:59 something
0:06:00 and start filling that up with all the
0:06:02 potential ideas for
0:06:03 future conversations um so let's have a
0:06:06 look at who's in the the chat
0:06:08 salaam alaikum hope you're well uh
0:06:12 salaam princess rashida uh
0:06:15 you are doing great uh
0:06:18 billing and burns
0:06:21Music 0:06:24 and uh it's about to start in a minute
0:06:26 yeah sorry we were a little bit late we
0:06:28 had a
0:06:28 hectic beginning uh because we didn't
0:06:31 have
0:06:31 an admin and so we were all logging on
0:06:34 uh
0:06:34 trying to get it going but for some
0:06:37 reason none of us had
0:06:39 admin access so i had to log into the uh
0:06:42 the email account and then give myself
0:06:44 access and log out my old account
0:06:46 um for the the pondering soul one this
0:06:49 was a bit of messing about trying to get
0:06:50 us all links we just sat all
0:06:52 like guests
0:06:58Music 0:07:01 so how has everyone found the podcast so
0:07:03 far
0:07:04 which ones were your favorite great
0:07:05 question uh so everyone watching now so
0:07:07 there's 25 people
0:07:09 uh currently on the live chat and
0:07:11 obviously whoever's gonna watch this
0:07:12 after the fact as well
0:07:14 um so we've done five episodes so far
0:07:16 should we do a little recap on what
0:07:17 we've done so the first one
0:07:19 uh was it introduction wasn't it yeah a
0:07:22 general
0:07:23 um discussion about what our aims were
0:07:25 and things
0:07:26 um i might just pull it up save using my
0:07:29 memory
0:07:30 uh which is terrible yeah the second one
0:07:33 was on
0:07:34 uh necessary being the evidence for a
0:07:37 necessary being evidence in essence for
0:07:39 a creator
0:07:41 for god uh yeah think the third one
0:07:44 was on logic the trinity problem of the
0:07:47 trinity yeah
0:07:47 yeah does the trinity make sense number
0:07:49 four uh is it rational to believe
0:07:51 in miracles is it irrational to believe
0:07:54 in miracles yeah
0:07:55 and number five was is consciousness a
0:07:58 miracle
0:07:58 yeah yeah so which one was your favorite
0:08:00 anyway mine
0:08:02 yeah i know you were sadly you weren't
0:08:04 for the uh
0:08:05 for the last one that we had was yeah
0:08:07 unfortunately yeah i was a bit
0:08:09 tied up with a few things um but you did
0:08:11 have
0:08:12 a a great replacement with brother
0:08:14 hamilton well you know what he's
0:08:16 scraping at the bottom of the barrel
0:08:18Laughter 0:08:22 he's always you know hamza's always
0:08:24 hustling and saying no i want to come on
0:08:28 okay then we've got a gap yeah
0:08:33 hamza is a great person we actually want
0:08:35 to specifically on that show isn't it
0:08:37 yourself i mean we were
0:08:38 chatting about that and uh yeah well his
0:08:40 his background in
0:08:41 uh academia is that very topic so it was
0:08:44 it was uh
0:08:46 a real blessing to have him on for that
0:08:47 particular subject i think
0:08:49 the the only feedback i've already
0:08:51 voiced this to you guys but i think um
0:08:54 we should have just focused on talking
0:08:56 to him in that episode i don't think
0:08:58 it was as beneficial as it could have
0:09:00 been um
0:09:01 having to engage with um like
0:09:04 however many people we had to in the end
0:09:06 there seemed to be a bit of confusion
0:09:07 there was a few guests that were coming
0:09:09 on
0:09:09 and there was a bit too much time spent
0:09:11 with them and they seemed to
0:09:12 have not really understood the problem
0:09:14 at hand or what it was that was being
0:09:16 discussed unfortunately and
0:09:18 yeah but you know yourself if we if we
0:09:20 didn't invite guests on
0:09:22 callers to call in when hamza was on we
0:09:25 would have had a riot
0:09:27 because many people wanted to speak yeah
0:09:29 i i understand that and
0:09:31 i wouldn't have suggested not having a
0:09:32 call in session at all
0:09:34 i think personally and i don't know
0:09:35 maybe you guys can let us know
0:09:37 um whether you agree with my particular
0:09:39 contention here um but i think it that
0:09:42 whole episode would have been much
0:09:43 better just kind of even just engaging
0:09:45 with hamza on the subject have you known
0:09:47 him
0:09:47 having been someone who studied it in
0:09:49 depth and writing um
0:09:51 a thesis on it uh it would have been
0:09:53 much better just to kind of because
0:09:55 at one point he even made reference to
0:09:57 um
0:09:58 a few issues that he was anticipating
0:10:00 would come up in the calling
0:10:02 and they never came up unfortunately um
0:10:04 and they were really crucial
0:10:06 points i think would have been really
0:10:07 beneficial to cover
0:10:09 yeah i think we're going to be we're
0:10:10 going to yeah i think we're going to try
0:10:11 and get hamza back on to do a part two
0:10:13 where we actually go into eliminative
0:10:16 theory reductionism
0:10:18 uh to look at some of the responses that
0:10:20 materialists have
0:10:22 regardless of the hard problem of
0:10:23 consciousness so i think inshallah maybe
0:10:25 in the upcoming streams we'll probably
0:10:27 try and get him back on
0:10:28 obviously hamza is very hard to get uh
0:10:30 you know he's very busy
0:10:32 you know yeah he's running a lot of
0:10:33 things he's doing sapience institute
0:10:35 he's trying to organize a million things
0:10:37 with that and then all the other
0:10:38 projects he's got going on
0:10:39 so what was your favorite one then
0:10:41 yourself mine was probably the last one
0:10:43 i really enjoyed because
0:10:44 the topic of consciousness is one that's
0:10:47 always really really intrigued me
0:10:49 um so like just the
0:10:52 the whole discussion on that is is
0:10:54 pretty much endless the whole problem of
0:10:56 the hard problem of consciousness um you
0:10:58 know like
0:10:59 how do we even try to comprehend this i
0:11:02 was watching um
0:11:04 a really funny live stream or not live
0:11:06 stream like a
0:11:08 science festival podcast thing that was
0:11:10 going on and they were talking about
0:11:12 uh quantum physics of biology and they
0:11:14 were going through it and eventually
0:11:15 they get to this
0:11:16 subject of life of consciousness and
0:11:18 they're like we don't
0:11:20 we don't like talking about that and at
0:11:22 one point they even made the
0:11:23 the quote um life is almost like magic
0:11:27 for the physicist like they it really
0:11:30 blows their mind and uh yeah and it's
0:11:32 funny because obviously this was
0:11:34 um i think i think most of them all of
0:11:37 them
0:11:37 were disbelievers so they didn't believe
0:11:39 in god and there was a few digs at
0:11:41 religion throughout that podcast as well
0:11:43 um so it was quite telling but then like
0:11:47 when it comes to talking about life so
0:11:49 long as there's no theist around
0:11:51 to kind of engage with them on it it
0:11:53 seems like they're very happy to just
0:11:54 kind of
0:11:55 refer to the sort of quote miraculous
0:11:57 nature of
0:11:58 of life and you know it's uh it's the
0:12:01 mystery behind it how it's still
0:12:03 a complete uh you know
0:12:06 mystery to us we don't really know much
0:12:08 about referring to it with words like
0:12:10 magic all of this
0:12:11 and not facetiously not you know they
0:12:14 you can see that they're quite sincere
0:12:16 in their comments when they're talking
0:12:18 about it but then when you sort of
0:12:19 engage
0:12:20 um in apologetics with regards to this
0:12:22 and and
0:12:23 try to talk about it in reference to a
0:12:26 creator or the source of all of life
0:12:29 having its
0:12:29 having life itself and this being a
0:12:33 really good explanation
0:12:35 for this um and obviously removing a lot
0:12:38 of the
0:12:39 uh the issues tied to it as well
0:12:42 um it's interesting because at that
0:12:45 point they start to kind of move down
0:12:47 this sort of materialist
0:12:48 reductionist um process
0:12:52 uh whereas you know when they're sort of
0:12:54 engaging in enough itself
0:12:55 there's no mention to just reducing
0:12:57 consciousness to the material world in
0:12:59 and of itself or
0:13:00 trying to overcome these problems but
0:13:01 yeah for me that was probably my
0:13:03 favorite one
0:13:03 um what was your favorite one was it
0:13:07 uh i reckon yours was probably the
0:13:08 irrationality of miracles
0:13:12 um yeah
0:13:15 trinity trinity that's his thing in it
0:13:19 yeah i would be too biased to say that
0:13:22 so i'll say the miracle
0:13:23 stream i really did enjoy that and it's
0:13:26 been
0:13:27 something that comes up quite frequently
0:13:29 in our discussions uh even offline so
0:13:33 i felt it was really important to
0:13:34 address because i think
0:13:36 theist and um atheists alike have a
0:13:40 misconception of that so i think we did
0:13:42 a good job
0:13:43 of explaining that to the audience and
0:13:45 trying to clear that up
0:13:48 yeah i think uh we've got brother hayen
0:13:52 is uh i think in agreement with the
0:13:54 miracles one being got an absolute
0:13:55 banger
0:13:56 in his words and uh we had one on a
0:13:59 generation agreeing with me there how
0:14:01 about you sure
0:14:03 what was your favorite uh i like the
0:14:05 consciousness one actually because i
0:14:07 think
0:14:07 uh obviously we're experimenting you
0:14:09 know when we're doing these
0:14:10 uh podcasting what works what doesn't
0:14:12 work so i think what
0:14:14 i think what we sort of said at the end
0:14:16 of that um
0:14:17 after that show is we said maybe we
0:14:20 should spend more time
0:14:22 in the introduction explaining the topic
0:14:24 before we invite callers on
0:14:26 yeah so rather than just having like a
0:14:29 15 20 minute you know quick brief
0:14:31 overview of the topic area maybe go in a
0:14:33 bit more depth
0:14:34 and then invite callers on to either ask
0:14:37 questions or
0:14:38 maybe have some sort of pushback about
0:14:40 what we're saying yeah having a
0:14:41 discussion that way so i like that
0:14:43 because i think we got into a bit more
0:14:45 depth we
0:14:46 covered a lot of ground uh on that topic
0:14:48 even though there's more to
0:14:49 more discussions to have on that well
0:14:52 we're talking about maybe extending it
0:14:54 to doing rather than just
0:14:55 once every fortnight trying to do a
0:14:56 weekly thing so i wouldn't say we should
0:14:59 get rid of the calling
0:15:01 completely um but i think we should
0:15:03 introduce maybe some sort of interview
0:15:06 um yeah format as well where we bring
0:15:08 guests on and we we just spent time
0:15:09 talking to them and maybe give 20
0:15:11 minutes at the end of the q a
0:15:12 rather than referring to it as like an
0:15:14 extended introduction
0:15:16 look at the whole focus of like a
0:15:18 particular stream
0:15:19 being on having a conversation with
0:15:21 someone that's
0:15:23 read up on the matter you know be even
0:15:24 be that non-muslims as well so engaging
0:15:26 with
0:15:27 um inshallah we can get some people on
0:15:30 uh that study these particular areas and
0:15:32 we can maybe
0:15:33 um push them to to elaborate on their
0:15:35 position and sort of have a back and
0:15:37 forth in a friendly manner not in like a
0:15:38 debate format um
0:15:40 or anything like that but just for a
0:15:41 case of learning and gaining knowledge
0:15:43 on the
0:15:44 the particular area i just want to give
0:15:45 a quick shout out to
0:15:48 brother jazz from calling christians uh
0:15:51 he's been
0:15:52 not feeling too well recently so if
0:15:54 everyone can just keep him in your duas
0:15:57 as well may allah grant him shifa and
0:15:59 patience make it easy for him
0:16:00 good to have you here as well bro um
0:16:04 sorry skipping a bit yeah where were we
0:16:08Music 0:16:10 so we got wild salaamwale
0:16:13 nice to have you all here mashallah
0:16:15 we're on 36 people
0:16:17 1k is criminal should be at least 10k
0:16:20 who are you arresting
0:16:22 who do we hold responsible
0:16:26 inshallah we'll get there soon uh may it
0:16:29 grow i mean and be beneficial
0:16:31 uh so we've got it's that's a question
0:16:35 consciousness
0:16:37 uh podcast was awesome yeah i think
0:16:39 we're going to have a
0:16:41 a unanimous sort of poll for the
0:16:43 consciousness one i think because uh
0:16:45 we were blessed with brother hamza's oh
0:16:49 who's whose hairstyle are we talking
0:16:50 brother sheree you know what you know
0:16:53 about three and a half months now since
0:16:55 i've been able to get a haircut
0:16:58 so funny as well because you mentioned
0:17:01 that
0:17:02 at the beginning yeah i didn't want to
0:17:04 come on
0:17:05 my own i said you guys do it man dory
0:17:07 because no no no you need to come on
0:17:09 and then uh i was like yeah but i'm
0:17:11 gonna have to comb my hair now because
0:17:12 it's all
0:17:13 you know all over the place so yeah so
0:17:16 that's quickly so
0:17:17 get ready even though i'm still a bit
0:17:20 you know
0:17:21 although i know it's yours yourself uh
0:17:23 yeah
0:17:25 mine came off what happened did you have
0:17:26 a fight with a lawnmower or something
0:17:29 so well there's already a bit patchy so
0:17:32 the hair just doesn't grow here
0:17:34 anyway but i was just trying to trim it
0:17:36 because if my hair it gets really
0:17:37 annoying there
0:17:38 and uh funnily enough i was watching a
0:17:41 stream
0:17:42 brother fareed was talking about like
0:17:44 yeah i straightened my beard
0:17:45 i was like you straightened the beard
0:17:46 that's a good idea because mine's madly
0:17:48 curly so i was like
0:17:49 and i bought a like a heated cone
0:17:53 for like a tenner or summer and i was
0:17:56 trying it and it was doing really good
0:17:57 at straightening the long part but here
0:17:59 it doesn't grow that long
0:18:01 and it's super curly and wouldn't
0:18:04 straighten
0:18:04 so i had this really ugly looking super
0:18:07 straight
0:18:08 beard here and an annoying hair here
0:18:10 that i couldn't straighten
0:18:11 so that i'll trim this off and then i
0:18:13 trim that off
0:18:14 but i couldn't fade it oh properly
0:18:18 but i just had like really really like
0:18:21 next to no hair
0:18:22 on the sides here because it was
0:18:23 annoying and then it was just long
0:18:25 so no like gradually and uh
0:18:28 i did a live stream before savings
0:18:30 institute and then like there was so
0:18:31 many comments on there like what's going
0:18:33 on with the beard bro
0:18:35 i was trying to fix it but then i just
0:18:37 ruined it in the end and i was like
0:18:39 oh no my beard's gone
0:18:42 i just had to sort of shave it off and
0:18:44 shallow i'm going to let it grow back
0:18:46 but yeah it wasn't um intentional
0:18:51 but while it comes to lamb let's see
0:18:53 what else is going on here trying to get
0:18:54 through these
0:18:55 yousef looks five years younger with the
0:18:57 shaved beard it's the baby face
0:18:59 you'll see me no stubble on whatsoever
0:19:03 uh is if there is things we can do
0:19:07 to support or help let us know the
0:19:09 biggest thing you can do
0:19:10 is engage with the channel so like all
0:19:13 the videos
0:19:14 everyone if you like them obviously if
0:19:16 you don't like them dislike it
0:19:17 engagement is engagement we don't mind
0:19:19 it either way
0:19:20 uh share it so share it on your social
0:19:23 media you know facebook twitter
0:19:25 wherever else you're on i don't know
0:19:27 what all the cool kids do these days
0:19:28 um so share it and also
0:19:32 comment leave lots of comments um engage
0:19:35 with people in the chat even if it's not
0:19:36 just with us
0:19:37 if you see another comment you find it
0:19:38 interesting have a response with them
0:19:40 and this helps um push our videos out in
0:19:44 the youtube algorithm
0:19:45 if they see that people are engaging by
0:19:47 leaving comments and engaging with other
0:19:49 comments and liking and sharing
0:19:51 and not only that watching it all that
0:19:53 is the biggest help so
0:19:54 if you basically uh the statistics or
0:19:57 the analytics behind the whole thing
0:19:59 are recorded and so if you jump in and
0:20:02 then jump off within a minute
0:20:04 uh that looks bad on the uh the
0:20:07 analytics it looks like oh this is crap
0:20:08 they're not watching it and they're
0:20:10 getting off so
0:20:12 i know i know it can be hard if you're
0:20:14 busy and things like that but
0:20:15 try and watch it all and if you can
0:20:16 watch it all and that
0:20:19 obviously boost so that's another way of
0:20:20 supporting us um
0:20:23 and then we're also we also got the
0:20:25 podcast now haven't we
0:20:26 we're uploading uh live recorded
0:20:30 yes yes yes audio only i think we're on
0:20:32 spotify uh
0:20:34 we're on google podcast i think what
0:20:35 else we're on is it i think
0:20:37 i think we're getting on apple now too
0:20:39 so
0:20:42 well there seems to be a bit of a
0:20:46 resistance
0:20:49 i think it's probably one of the more
0:20:50 important ones as well uh so inshallah
0:20:52 we're going to be on there as well so
0:20:54 if you like your podcasts check us out
0:20:56 on there i think on podcasts you give
0:20:58 ratings as well so if you can
0:21:00 on any of them particular formats give
0:21:01 us five stars um
0:21:03 that's another way of supporting us and
0:21:05 then uh
0:21:06 yeah for the time being that's it um
0:21:09 we're
0:21:10 kind of getting to the point where
0:21:11 monetization becomes possible but i
0:21:13 think we were discussing we're gonna try
0:21:14 and leave
0:21:15 adverts off and things like that but
0:21:18 super chats
0:21:18 might at some point become a possibility
0:21:21 um
0:21:22 although we're still in discussion about
0:21:23 what to do with that if we were to get
0:21:25 that at all but it
0:21:26 that's not an option at the moment um
0:21:28 and it's something we need to sort of
0:21:29 have a proper discussion about in a bit
0:21:31 more detail
0:21:32 uh but yeah so those are the best ways
0:21:34 like comment
0:21:35 share watch the whole video uh give five
0:21:39 stars and
0:21:39 subscribe on the podcast platforms
0:21:43 um and just engage engage pick us up
0:21:45 talk to us talk about
0:21:46 us to your friends and family word of
0:21:49 mouth is usually a great way as well
0:21:50 oh have you heard of this new sick
0:21:52 podcast tap the tap podcast
0:21:55 that's another great way any other
0:21:56 suggestions or
0:21:59 no i think that's awesome yeah i think
0:22:02 that's pretty much it just sharing it
0:22:03 with uh your
0:22:04 on your social media and let your
0:22:06 friends and family
0:22:08 yeah following us as well so i think
0:22:10 we've got instagram
0:22:11 facebook and twitter that was the other
0:22:13 thing we wanted to say
0:22:14 yeah so follow us on there retweet our
0:22:16 posts uh
0:22:17 like them you know engage with us on all
0:22:20 the social medias
0:22:21 yeah give us give us feedback what types
0:22:23 of shows you want us to do as well
0:22:25 yeah yeah yeah yeah this is a this is
0:22:27 the thing i was thinking about
0:22:28 maybe um the audience either now
0:22:31 uh live or in the comments section can
0:22:34 tell us something that
0:22:36 they really enjoy about the podcast that
0:22:39 they'd like to see
0:22:40 more of um and then also something maybe
0:22:43 they don't like that they would like to
0:22:45 see less of
0:22:46 give us some you know positive and
0:22:48 negative feedback that we could
0:22:50 uh take into account so and don't be shy
0:22:53 with the negative feedback either
0:22:54 because some brothers
0:22:55 they can be very polite and uh even
0:22:58 though there's something niggling them
0:22:59 at the back of their head they they
0:23:01 uh they won't say it uh don't worry we
0:23:03 won't be like writing your name down
0:23:05 like all right you gave us some bad
0:23:07 feedback there
0:23:09 we'll start ignoring his comments it's
0:23:11 not doing anything like that we do
0:23:12 appreciate it because um
0:23:14 if there is something that is niggling
0:23:16 you or annoying you about the way we're
0:23:17 doing things
0:23:18 um it it's very likely that it's
0:23:21 possibly niggling or annoying other
0:23:22 people as well and
0:23:23 if it's a genuine criticism um it's
0:23:25 something we could improve on
0:23:27 and inshallah that would make the the
0:23:29 podcast better so you know these whole
0:23:31 these things are important uh so don't
0:23:33 shy away from that while i come salaam
0:23:45 nothing wrong with the logo uh
0:23:49 really enjoying the discussions on here
0:23:50 alhamdulillah hello
0:23:52 james is tired no it's james
0:23:55 james good friend and jake's christian
0:23:58 friendly
0:23:59 is our christian friend but yeah james
0:24:01 james is a person that we
0:24:02 we speak to often he's a good guy man
0:24:05 he's a nice guy
0:24:07 well uh guide you to islam james
0:24:10 he's very uh what's wrong staunchly
0:24:13 christian
0:24:14 yeah is the word i'm gonna be looking
0:24:15 for wallaho island
0:24:29 this is not live it is live it is i'm
0:24:30 just trying to get through the comments
0:24:32 um uh i want
0:24:35 to see debate with the ea show justin
0:24:38 about god free will if possible
0:24:40 oh that might be an interesting one yeah
0:24:43 we we
0:24:44 should do a show at some point on uh
0:24:47 determinism and that kind of stuff so
0:24:51 yeah well how do you feel about debates
0:24:53 where like
0:24:54 i could be a good little middleman i
0:24:56 think i'd be like you know
0:24:57 yeah i think i think debates
0:25:01 with uh i think it depends isn't it i
0:25:03 mean justin's a good guy but
0:25:05 actually just out of it uh just so that
0:25:06 you guys are aware and some of the
0:25:08 audience members because i know
0:25:09 obviously justin comes on a lot of our
0:25:10 shows
0:25:11 he's moved away from materialism believe
0:25:13 it or not he now
0:25:14 no longer believes in materialism he's a
0:25:16 duelist
0:25:20 after our discussions around
0:25:22 consciousness
0:25:24 because he started to see the in
0:25:25 principle problem of consciousness being
0:25:27 grounded on materialism so you said well
0:25:30 he's still investigating things further
0:25:32 so but you know
0:25:33 so it's a good thing yeah
0:25:36 steps in the right direction are always
0:25:38 good steps happy funky thursday
0:25:41 is is thursday is every thursday funky
0:25:43 or is it just this particular thursday
0:25:45 that's a funky one
0:25:46 mashallah we've got brother hussein
0:25:48 family
0:25:51 on your first milestone may it increase
0:25:53 grow to a million soon inshallah
0:25:56 i think that is a very far away
0:25:58 milestone
0:25:59 but keep us steadfast on that path
0:26:04 um i hope you talk more about divine
0:26:08 simplicity
0:26:09 and basically how to solve the problem
0:26:11 of god
0:26:12 change so with regards to divine
0:26:14 simplicity do check out
0:26:16 uh the muslim metaphysicians channel
0:26:18 jakes
0:26:19 uh he recently did a video on divine
0:26:21 simplicity uh
0:26:22 which was quite extensive on the matter
0:26:25 obviously
0:26:26 there's probably a million more things
0:26:27 that can always be said on these
0:26:29 particular subjects but i think if
0:26:31 you're looking for like an introductory
0:26:34 um guide into the the issues at hand
0:26:36 that's probably a good place to start
0:26:38 and
0:26:38 inshallah maybe we can even kind of
0:26:40 delve into that a bit more
0:26:42 on a future stream as well um actually
0:26:44 is anyone taking notes
0:26:46 do we have someone writing these down so
0:26:49 i don't
0:26:49 i'll go through them again okay okay
0:26:51 inshallah i don't know um
0:26:53 consciousness for sure so yeah we we uh
0:26:57 yeah definitely we'll go into that in
0:26:59 more depth because i think we could
0:27:00 probably do a whole series on
0:27:02 consciousness um oh no that's the that's
0:27:06 what
0:27:06 princess is saying that's her favorite
0:27:08 one
0:27:10 bosnian muslim brother
0:27:14 uh what topics will you expand to maybe
0:27:18 social political philosophy ooh
0:27:21 ooh that might be good
0:27:24 do you think uh we'll delve into
0:27:26 politics or is that going to be too
0:27:28 controversial
0:27:30 it's not going to no i think we can uh i
0:27:32 think from my perspective i think it's a
0:27:34 case of
0:27:34 two things isn't it one uh the the
0:27:37 confidence and the comfortableness in
0:27:39 terms of being able to address the topic
0:27:41 uh and the second thing would be um
0:27:45 yes second thing is just to address as
0:27:47 much as we possibly can but obviously
0:27:49 based upon what we can do isn't it in
0:27:50 terms of
0:27:51 you know we don't want to blag it in
0:27:53 terms of yeah topic areas but yeah
0:27:55 definitely shallow i think
0:27:56 we are probably going to think about
0:27:58 some
0:28:00 some like discussions around liberalism
0:28:02 as well so i think uh
0:28:04 um some brothers have mentioned that as
0:28:06 well and maybe
0:28:07 special guests as well on that
0:28:09 particular topic yeah inshallah we'll
0:28:11 try and reach out to
0:28:12 some of the other brothers that deal
0:28:13 with this quite a lot um so that might
0:28:15 be an interesting
0:28:17 thing to delve into um so he's noticed
0:28:19 here my
0:28:20 beard is decreasing yours is increasing
0:28:22 uh so the the story that i gave you
0:28:24 before is just a cover up
0:28:25 uh stealing my beard
0:28:31 uh proportional law of gravity isn't it
0:28:34 as distance increase
0:28:36 square of the distance increases the
0:28:38 force decreases
0:28:40 but anyway um another panel is
0:28:43 underrated
0:28:45 it's uh any chance to get some atheist
0:28:48 philosophers on the podcast
0:28:49 yeah i think we can do brother um
0:28:54 we who was it was mentioning it someone
0:28:56 mentioned that
0:28:57 i think justin or someone is getting
0:28:59 like loads of cool
0:29:00 guests on there like uh i'm not even
0:29:03 call
0:29:03 per se but just um like some quite
0:29:07 big names at least on his uh on his
0:29:10 podcast
0:29:12 so they seem to be willing to engage i
0:29:15 guess
0:29:16 what do you reckon get some of the the
0:29:19 big wigs
0:29:20 should we invite dawkins on
0:29:24 see if you'll funny story though funny
0:29:27 story i don't i won't mention names
0:29:30 um but one there's a a couple of the dua
0:29:33 uh apparently dawkins attacked him they
0:29:36 went there and they challenged him
0:29:38 physically
0:29:39 and it got a bruise and had to drop
0:29:41 charges kind of attack
0:29:42 really i was joking i thought you meant
0:29:46 attack hasn't criticized him on twitter
0:29:48 no no no like
0:29:48 i thought that when they said this how
0:29:50 we were by door kids
0:29:53 like literally physically walking in
0:29:55 dark alley and suddenly
0:29:56 it appears with a valley on like oh yeah
0:29:59 the mozzies
0:30:00 started popping up um he was doing a
0:30:03 show or something
0:30:04 and uh and what happened so they
0:30:08 confronted him during his show but it
0:30:10 was just like it was supposed to be a
0:30:11 chill thing he was talking about his
0:30:12 life and that
0:30:13 and then they pulled him up on um uh
0:30:17 something to do with the comments he'd
0:30:18 made about muslims and comparing islam
0:30:20 to
0:30:20 nazis and that's not near there and so
0:30:23 they pulled him up on that
0:30:24 and one of the brothers was talking to
0:30:26 him the other brother just had a camera
0:30:27 around his neck
0:30:28 and uh he was either recording it or
0:30:30 like he didn't realize he was recording
0:30:32 and uh and then dawkins has lunged at
0:30:35 him and then tried to grab hold of the
0:30:36 camera and there's been a tuffle
0:30:38 and this brothers ended up just pushing
0:30:40 dawkins dawkins has gone flying 10 mile
0:30:43 and uh and then they had to do one
0:30:44 because the security were coming for
0:30:45 them even though dawkins
0:30:47 attacked him and then the police got in
0:30:48 touch with him and um he dropped the
0:30:50 charges in the end
0:30:51 but yeah so dawkins is a
0:30:55 he's a bit of a brute swings his way
0:30:57 about
0:30:58 don't mess about that guy uh but yeah i
0:31:02 don't know maybe
0:31:03 we'll see if we can get him on and
0:31:04 question him about his uh
0:31:06 aggressive behavior towards muslims um
0:31:09 yeah we'll look into it consciousness
0:31:11 was a ha it was hard hitting points
0:31:13 yeah i think that's going to be the uh
0:31:15 the overall favorite
0:31:17 podcasts were beneficial alhamdulillah
0:31:23 that's a hard problem
0:31:25Laughter 0:31:32 yeah he's uh he he was one of them as
0:31:34 well he was willing to jump on to
0:31:36 um justin's show and then and i think
0:31:38 with her jake you had an engagement with
0:31:40 him didn't you
0:31:41 yeah yeah so would do you think
0:31:44 um it might be worth trying to get him
0:31:46 on and expanding maybe on the topic you
0:31:49 spoke to him about and
0:31:50 yeah yeah i mean if he's interested
0:31:54 i don't know if he's um you know i
0:31:57 kind of made his knees buckle last time
0:31:59 we spoke so i don't know if he's willing
0:32:01 to come back
0:32:03 well uh we'll just hide you we'll hide
0:32:05 you you'll be like
0:32:08 no no no he was cool it was cool but um
0:32:12 yeah maybe he'd do wouldn't want to come
0:32:14 on i mean i've got connections
0:32:15 much more as you guys know with the sort
0:32:18 of christian philosophical
0:32:20 community more so than the atheists but
0:32:22 um
0:32:23 yeah we'll see what we can come up with
0:32:26 yeah and shall i
0:32:27 go i'm trying to fight there's a meme
0:32:28 that came to mind uh
0:32:31 which one is it now there's like a
0:32:33 wrestler and he's got a big smile on his
0:32:35 face
0:32:35 there it is there it is
0:32:39 one second full screen it
0:32:44 how do you full screen it open
0:32:48 there we go yeah so this is the one and
0:32:51 so
0:32:51 what we can do i can't see it yeah i'm
0:32:53 gonna pull it up now relax
0:32:55 can do uh share screen
0:32:59 content yeah this is the one
0:33:03 so uh forget the writing but the man at
0:33:07 the back could be jake
0:33:08 and then uh
0:33:17 but uh yeah let's go through these
0:33:20 comments a bit more sorry i'm being a
0:33:22 bit slow if they're trying to get
0:33:23 through so jasmine
0:33:24 said could you guys make the podcast
0:33:25 more diverse and have female
0:33:27 representatives
0:33:28 or their voices uh to or to
0:33:32 to listen it's a good question i think
0:33:35 you know
0:33:35 obviously uh the circle that we sort of
0:33:39 interact with are mainly
0:33:40 brothers isn't it so it is a bit
0:33:42 difficult to
0:33:43 know uh you know for sisters who are
0:33:47 well equipped and understand this
0:33:49 particular area
0:33:50 because we are friends we know each
0:33:52 other we discuss
0:33:53 uh with each other every single day we
0:33:55 know in terms of how we
0:33:57 we think isn't it and how we can handle
0:33:58 certain discussions
0:34:00 but certainly if the sister recommends
0:34:01 anybody knows anybody that
0:34:04 uh that would be good for a particular
0:34:06 show then yeah in charlotte
0:34:09 milhan philosophy recently took her
0:34:12 shahadah as well so and she's
0:34:14 um a philosophy buff as well like her
0:34:16 the whole channel
0:34:17 focuses on that she's i've seen her
0:34:19 reading um
0:34:21 heidegger like so she's she's pretty
0:34:23 deep into it
0:34:24 uh so she might be an interesting person
0:34:26 to get into i guess the issue here is as
0:34:28 well is
0:34:29 uh there's not many sisters that sort of
0:34:31 engage in this kind of thing
0:34:33 um the brothers seem to be
0:34:36 like readily available even like on all
0:34:38 levels they just kind of jump into it in
0:34:40 the deep end
0:34:41 um but it's it's very rare that you find
0:34:44 a sister that's sort of
0:34:46 studying philosophy or you know any of
0:34:48 these kind of things
0:34:49 um but we will keep our eyes open for it
0:34:51 um like say
0:34:52 we're just a sort of a circle of
0:34:54 brothers um and we don't
0:34:56 generally tend to um interact with
0:34:59 females
0:35:00 yeah yeah and it feels a bit
0:35:03 inappropriate to sort of
0:35:05 message them and stuff like that but you
0:35:07 know uh you know with particular
0:35:09 characters so for example milhan she's
0:35:10 already got a pretty big
0:35:12 youtube platform uh and like i said
0:35:16 she's already kind of into philosophy
0:35:17 and she's recently taken her shahada so
0:35:19 she's probably going to be a perfect
0:35:21 sort of candidate for this sort of thing
0:35:22 so yeah not uh for that suggestion
0:35:25 um i will take note of that and we'll
0:35:27 see if we can get in touch with her and
0:35:28 if she's willing to jump on and have a
0:35:30 chat with us uh i've learned more from
0:35:32 your podcast than i have
0:35:34 from any other book alhamdulillah that's
0:35:36 a
0:35:37 good start uh do you plan on doing a
0:35:40 round two for every topic you've covered
0:35:42 so far
0:35:43 not every topic um i think
0:35:46 if it's required if the topic you can go
0:35:48 into it in a bit more details because
0:35:50 it's the nature of philosophy in it
0:35:51 there's layers
0:35:52 uh you can sort of go through them a bit
0:35:54 but yeah definitely with regards to the
0:35:56 one like consciousness and things like
0:35:57 what do you reckon guys
0:35:58 jake sharif yeah i mean we could always
0:36:02 really address certain topics um
0:36:06 you know right now we've only done what
0:36:08 five episodes right so we still have
0:36:11 so many things to address um probably
0:36:15 before we go over
0:36:16 some of the things but yeah i mean
0:36:18 eventually
0:36:19 uh we can redress certain things
0:36:23 yeah same thing i was going to say is
0:36:25 that you know you
0:36:27 sometimes uh you'll see the same types
0:36:29 of arguments
0:36:30 same types of core concepts or core
0:36:32 contentions but there's multiple ways
0:36:35 to address it so i think you know it'd
0:36:37 be uh
0:36:38 i think the nature of these types of
0:36:40 discourses is that you are going to
0:36:42 redress or address
0:36:44 different uh topic areas so i think in
0:36:46 show we will be probably
0:36:48 talking about some of these pop topics a
0:36:50 number of times
0:36:51 yeah pretty much everything branches out
0:36:53 like a tree as well doesn't it and
0:36:54 yeah so in one pad podcast you end up
0:36:56 going down a particular branch which
0:36:58 takes you to
0:36:59 certain branches uh and then inevitably
0:37:01 cuts off many other branches that you
0:37:03 could have
0:37:04 traverses so sometimes you've got to
0:37:05 take that back step go back to the
0:37:07 beginning
0:37:08 of a particular premise or a certain
0:37:10 part of a discussion and then you can
0:37:12 start
0:37:12 branch off from there and see where that
0:37:14 takes you as also
0:37:15 and the the nature of this kind of
0:37:17 discussion is also
0:37:18 leaves us open to be able to do that so
0:37:20 that that definitely be interesting to
0:37:21 do
0:37:22 um will you ever bring majesty of reason
0:37:25 or
0:37:26 elephant philosophy uh by the way
0:37:29 i have no idea uh yeah i know i know who
0:37:32 they are
0:37:33 so one majesty reason is um he's an
0:37:36 agnostic
0:37:37 uh he's studying philosophy i think at
0:37:40 purdue university
0:37:41 and the other guy elephant philosophy
0:37:44 is a christian uh youtuber also
0:37:49 um i'm not as familiar with elephant
0:37:52 philosophy but
0:37:53 um majesty of reason i've engaged with
0:37:56 him on facebook a few times so
0:37:59 yeah i'm sure he'd probably come on it's
0:38:01 just uh i'm not sure
0:38:03 what you guys would like us to speak to
0:38:05 him about with
0:38:06 so maybe whoever commented max is there
0:38:09 a particular topic you'd like to address
0:38:11 with him or
0:38:13 what you had something in mind i don't
0:38:14 know yeah because
0:38:17 i think i may i'm just looking here
0:38:21 i think i've probably seen a couple of
0:38:23 elephant philosophies videos on the
0:38:25 kalam i think
0:38:26 um yeah people keep trying to tell me to
0:38:29 debate this guy
0:38:31 is a christian yeah on the trinity or
0:38:34 something like that but
0:38:35 i've gone through his videos and he
0:38:37 doesn't really have much
0:38:39 specifically on christianity he's got a
0:38:42 few stuff but
0:38:43 not really much related to the trinity
0:38:45 so no i don't think it must be real
0:38:48 kind of thing yeah just general general
0:38:50 philosophy of religion so
0:38:52 i don't think that's really his area as
0:38:54 much but um
0:38:56 yeah it might be building up to it or
0:38:58 something um hello hold on
0:39:00 we can yeah that's another good
0:39:01 suggestion for
0:39:03 for offering that we can keep that in
0:39:05 mind and maybe like uh brother jake said
0:39:07 that if you've got any particular
0:39:08 suggestions about what you'd like us to
0:39:10 speak to
0:39:11 them about uh do let us know
0:39:15 uh let's have a look joe joe schmidt is
0:39:18 that a suggestion
0:39:19 is that yeah that's the same guy matt
0:39:21 he's the host of majesty of reason
0:39:24 uh okay yeah he's an agnostic
0:39:31 uh between academics usually uh
0:39:35 both theists and atheists and
0:39:38 you know it's pretty fair he tries to be
0:39:40 pretty fair yeah
0:39:42 he also had an interesting he had a
0:39:45 devil's advocate debate
0:39:47 um with a christian where the christian
0:39:49 took
0:39:50 the atheist side and the uh and joe took
0:39:53 the thea side and tried to argue for god
0:39:55 so that was pretty interesting
0:39:58 randy hauser i think it was he debated
0:40:00 all right yeah randall houser yep
0:40:02 yeah so i'm going to make a couple of
0:40:03 people that i'm familiar with
0:40:06 mods because that's probably a good a
0:40:09 good shot there
0:40:11 uh we'll just i'll add one more i'm just
0:40:13 finding random people here
0:40:15 we got a brother abdulrahman is not a
0:40:17 mod
0:40:18 what's going on here he's in the chat
0:40:24 we'll probably make do with that at the
0:40:26 moment does he deserve that status
0:40:28 though i mean come on
0:40:30 i know he sold us out for cove yeah i
0:40:33 mean we reached 1k and he's not here
0:40:35 he's busy
0:40:36 he only
0:40:42 uh elephant philosophy versus jake on
0:40:44 divine simplicity
0:40:46 to be honest though on that particular
0:40:47 topic if you're going to debate a
0:40:49 christian i wouldn't debate him on
0:40:50 divine simplicity i'd debate him on
0:40:52 trinity
0:40:53 i know that oh not debate but have that
0:40:55 discussion i think it's more
0:40:57 discussion i don't even i don't even
0:40:59 know his position about divine
0:41:01 simplicity so
0:41:02 i don't know if he even has a video on
0:41:05 it but yeah
0:41:06 uh trinity would probably be something
0:41:08 much better
0:41:10 uh let's have a look
0:41:16 uh hamza is over 80 and he pushes the
0:41:20 the fifth
0:41:20 concept as a foundation for believing
0:41:22 god without no i wouldn't say he
0:41:24 um pushes it without recourse to logic
0:41:27 and reason
0:41:28 um the fit that is is a fundamental part
0:41:31 to it but i think you can use logic and
0:41:33 reason to guide
0:41:34 you even to the concept of fitra
0:41:38 and to understanding its importance um
0:41:41 i think the issue is is that everyone
0:41:43 has to make leaps of faith
0:41:45 at some point uh so whether you're
0:41:47 atheist or
0:41:48 a theist or you know anything in general
0:41:51 um
0:41:52 when you're moving through reasoning uh
0:41:54 you get to points where
0:41:56 reason can only take you so far and then
0:41:59 the leap of faith is required in certain
0:42:02 uh respects and i guess people who don't
0:42:05 really recognize that maybe see this as
0:42:07 just a recourse to accepting things
0:42:09 without logic and reason
0:42:11 um that's not the case i would say your
0:42:13 leaps should be guided by
0:42:15 reason still um but there's just limits
0:42:18 to
0:42:19 what you can know and like with absolute
0:42:21 certainty in certain regards
0:42:23 um and i would say hamz is probably more
0:42:26 in line with that
0:42:27 um you know i wouldn't say he um
0:42:30 argued that you should completely
0:42:32 neglect
0:42:34 the idea of logic and reason when it
0:42:35 comes to discussing the idea of god
0:42:38 no not at all yeah
0:42:41 does that anyone else want to add
0:42:42 anything to that or
0:42:46 no i think we're probably going to do a
0:42:47 show about fitor anyway aren't we
0:42:49 yeah definitely the future and about
0:42:51 things like properly basic beliefs
0:42:53 things like that yeah we could probably
0:42:54 get jamie on for that as well
0:42:56 um he's really good he's part of sapiens
0:42:59 institute as well
0:43:00 and he's done uh articles specifically
0:43:03 on this
0:43:04 um so we can get him on and kind of
0:43:06 delve into that
0:43:07 uh apparently ep i guess that's elephant
0:43:09 philosophy rejects divine simplicity
0:43:13 um okay so why would why would i debate
0:43:15 it you know
0:43:18 we can change very short arguments
0:43:21 high five each other yeah yeah
0:43:24 but trinity would be better i think
0:43:26 honestly
0:43:29 uh my favorite episode was the one with
0:43:31 yusuf sharif
0:43:33 and jacob what about abdul rahman
0:43:38 he's
0:43:48 so i think because he's not as public
0:43:50 profile as others
0:43:52 people probably don't realize we need to
0:43:54 increase his exposure
0:43:56 because i'm learning a lot from him as
0:43:58 well and um may i bless him and increase
0:44:00 him
0:44:00 and he's got a very you know i i don't
0:44:03 want to praise the brother
0:44:04 hopefully he's not watching
0:44:09 he's got a very nice
0:44:12 calm style in the way he discusses and
0:44:15 he sort of
0:44:16 is able to insightfully break things
0:44:19 down in terms of the
0:44:20 other person's uh positions uh you know
0:44:23 100 likes
0:44:25 he is underrated may i bless and
0:44:27 increase him
0:44:28 i mean
0:44:33 i believe he made a video on modal
0:44:36 collapse
0:44:37 i'm guessing that's uh elephant
0:44:39 philosophy again
0:44:41 okay yeah so he wouldn't he wouldn't
0:44:43 accept
0:44:44 buying simplicity then yeah yes sir that
0:44:46 wouldn't really be much of a
0:44:48 debate more of a
0:44:51 virtual high fiving of one another um
0:44:55 let's have a look
0:44:59 i think this is all salaamwalekum jazz
0:45:08 so we've got here max faces i can't
0:45:09 believe how good arguments calam and
0:45:10 contingency are
0:45:12 um when one listens to elephant
0:45:15 philosophy and majesty of reason one
0:45:16 gets that
0:45:17 idea how compelling those arguments are
0:45:20 uh unfortunately muslims
0:45:23 haven't done anything well the
0:45:26 cosmological argument was
0:45:28 you know
0:45:39 i think he means maybe the modern yeah
0:45:41 in the modern sense yeah and i think
0:45:43 obviously that's starting to change now
0:45:45 but you know obviously i was involved in
0:45:49 talking
0:45:50 well i'm not involved but there was i
0:45:52 remember many years ago
0:45:54 muslims rarely talked about these types
0:45:56 of topics
0:45:57 and you know 20 years plus and
0:46:01 now alhamdulillah is becoming a lot more
0:46:03 um acceptable to discuss
0:46:06 reason rationality arguments for the
0:46:08 existence of allah
0:46:10 using reason and rationality and part of
0:46:13 the reason why this is the case is
0:46:14 because obviously
0:46:15 muslims are now facing a lot more
0:46:17 challenges in terms of criticism and
0:46:19 critique
0:46:19 to their beliefs so it's pushed a lot of
0:46:21 muslims to learn these arguments
0:46:23 as a way to respond maybe 20 plus years
0:46:26 ago
0:46:27 the discussion amongst muslims was more
0:46:30 um you know internally focused the
0:46:32 resort in acceptance of islam
0:46:34 and if there was a discussion with
0:46:36 non-muslims it was primarily with
0:46:37 christians who already accepted belief
0:46:39 in god
0:46:40 but obviously with the rise of atheism
0:46:41 now there's uh a lot more push now to
0:46:44 understand these arguments uh and
0:46:46 explain them and it's uh it's definitely
0:46:48 offering
0:46:48 motivation inshallah we're hoping we can
0:46:50 fill part of this void as well
0:46:53 um so keepers in you are and
0:46:56 may we take a step in that direction uh
0:46:59 yeah evolution would be a good topic and
0:47:01 we could even ask brother sabor
0:47:04 uh to jump on with regards to that um as
0:47:07 that obviously is his main
0:47:08 area of focus um and i think there's uh
0:47:12 another brother
0:47:13 who does the f-e-i-i-s-p
0:47:17 streams i think he's wrote on that
0:47:20 um so it might be even good to reach out
0:47:22 to him so
0:47:23 yeah jazak are here for these
0:47:25 suggestions because when you say them
0:47:26 there's certain brothers that pop into
0:47:27 mind
0:47:28 uh when you say alaikum salaam
0:47:32 uh next step 10k inshallah
0:47:38 i'm trying to
0:47:42 uh right i've lost where the comments
0:47:46 are
0:47:46 that i was up to the stream ad it's a
0:47:49 bit glitchy sometimes it just
0:47:51 jumps you straight to the bottom of the
0:47:52 chat
0:47:55 and then you've got to scroll through
0:47:57 and struggle to find where you were
0:48:00 um
0:48:04 right i think there's so many comments
0:48:05 that it's cut me off so this is the
0:48:07 the latest one um
0:48:12 no we don't need more james is tired on
0:48:14 that's a another suggestion
0:48:16 well uh suggestions in terms of topics
0:48:19 james
0:48:20 we'll see what we can uh debate with you
0:48:22 about um
0:48:25 uh someone wanna come bros and sis i
0:48:27 think your customer is awesome
0:48:28 alhamdulillah
0:48:29 uh i would like to see the panel talk
0:48:32 to the ea show justin about godfrey will
0:48:35 uh he looks very confident
0:48:37 on talking about that even made a
0:48:39 challenge about god's free will debate
0:48:42 yeah yeah that might be uh yeah well i
0:48:45 think he raised the issue of the omnis
0:48:47 omniscience paradox so i think we're
0:48:49 going to do a show about that anyway
0:48:51 yeah and we can invite him on yeah
0:48:53 inshallah
0:48:54 so here we have got the uh the spotify
0:48:58 link
0:48:58 uh so do check that out and subscribe
0:49:02 if you're one of the the young cool kids
0:49:04 that uses that
0:49:06 particular platform um it's a very
0:49:08 foreign thing for me i haven't
0:49:09 really been on there uh and you bro or
0:49:13 sister uh i mean
0:49:18 is brother yusuf ponder's is it brother
0:49:21 you suppond his other channel so this
0:49:23 this isn't my channel
0:49:24 uh it's ours so basically we're a team
0:49:27 of
0:49:28 uh brothers who talk a lot offline
0:49:32 um and then i don't know who it was that
0:49:35 came up with the idea or suggested it
0:49:36 but
0:49:37 um i i i was just invited so it's not
0:49:40 even uh
0:49:41 i'm by no means the lead of it uh whose
0:49:44 idea was it
0:49:44 who came up with this i think it's more
0:49:47 collaborative isn't it
0:49:49 yeah it was sharif and myself and we're
0:49:52 really just talking about it
0:49:54 yeah it was a very good idea and and we
0:49:56 wanted to get yourself on board because
0:49:59 we like yourself yeah
0:50:02 i've got that well we got him on for the
0:50:05 beard
0:50:06 and now he's kind of disappointed
0:50:16 um discussion with justice
0:50:19 is enough he's open-minded uh this free
0:50:22 will topic is huge
0:50:25 uh well it seems to really be is this
0:50:27 the same person that keeps commenting it
0:50:29 seems to really
0:50:30 be bothering him yeah i mean we'll we'll
0:50:33 address it at some point
0:50:35 i think there's two two problems with
0:50:37 regards to free will the first problem
0:50:39 is a problem
0:50:39 for materialists so there's problems in
0:50:42 terms of that and the second problem is
0:50:44 you know this idea that god is
0:50:45 all-knowing
0:50:46 all powerful uh how does he
0:50:49 how do we therefore have free will so
0:50:52 there is that and then obviously
0:50:53 a subset of that is an omniscience
0:50:55 paradox as well so
0:50:56 yeah but there are two separate see what
0:50:59 some sometimes
0:51:00 atheists do is when you address the
0:51:02 problem of free will from a
0:51:03 materialistic point of view
0:51:05 they say yeah but you've got this
0:51:07 problem of free will as well but hold on
0:51:09 there's two different problems and
0:51:11 therefore there's you know
0:51:13 yours doesn't have a solution even a
0:51:15 possible one
0:51:16 whereas we do yeah but obviously we'll
0:51:18 have to talk about that more in more
0:51:20 detail
0:51:21 yeah definitely inshallah and uh we've
0:51:23 got here
0:51:24 those normal discussions are better than
0:51:27 debates discussions
0:51:28 such as the one between craig and
0:51:29 malpass uh such discussions i personally
0:51:32 find
0:51:33 uh better than debates i agree as well
0:51:35 yeah yeah
0:51:36 yeah it i guess it depends on the person
0:51:38 as well like i think debates
0:51:41 are required when there's too much
0:51:44 tension between
0:51:45 the interlocutors insofar as the
0:51:47 interlocutors can be relaxed and
0:51:50 engage you know well with each other
0:51:53 it's fine it's when it starts getting a
0:51:55 bit heated and then
0:51:56 people end up talking over each other
0:51:58 and things like that
0:51:59 it's at that point i think a debate
0:52:01 format becomes necessary where you've
0:52:03 got someone who regulates the discussion
0:52:05 each person has a set amount of time
0:52:07 they've got
0:52:08 um the ability to sort of prep and
0:52:12 you know bring forward particular
0:52:13 arguments and research that they've done
0:52:15 uh so you know debates definitely have
0:52:18 their
0:52:18 use um in particular context
0:52:22 uh but i do agree i much prefer
0:52:25 discussions
0:52:26 um but then you know not everyone is
0:52:28 capable of having discussions
0:52:30 unfortunately
0:52:30 even the best of us um you put us with
0:52:33 a particular kind of individual um it's
0:52:36 it's very easy to lose patience and sort
0:52:38 of
0:52:39 move away from the the good-natured
0:52:42 atmosphere that you get in these nice
0:52:44 conversations conversation
0:52:46 with you did anyone else have anything
0:52:49 to say on that or
0:52:51 no
0:52:56 thought adventure podcast so far your
0:52:58 podcast guests are decent hopefully it
0:53:01 stays this way for a while until trolls
0:53:02 discover this channel
0:53:04 eventually i think we i think we had one
0:53:06 troll the other days in it the last one
0:53:10 adam yeah yeah
0:53:14 yeah i don't mean to be critical of the
0:53:16 guy but he was literally on
0:53:18 sc dao another channel uh claiming to be
0:53:22 a jew and and then he came on to us
0:53:26 when he got kicked off that one claiming
0:53:27 to be a muslim so
0:53:29 it's a bit odd he throws me off a bit
0:53:32 because
0:53:33 i always considered him to be
0:53:36 somewhat sincere and i i i guess
0:53:40 i i assumed the reason he
0:53:43 came with different names and things
0:53:45 like that was because he just wanted to
0:53:47 engage on the subject
0:53:49 um and con and thought that maybe if he
0:53:52 didn't
0:53:52 identify as xyz that they'd he'd just
0:53:54 get it
0:53:55 um but yeah i don't know and then there
0:53:59 was a moment where
0:54:00 it seemed like he uh he went a bit too
0:54:03 far in one stream but i'm not 100 it was
0:54:05 him
0:54:06 um but i'm pretty confident it was and
0:54:08 then i tried messaging him about it
0:54:10 and he didn't respond to me um so i
0:54:13 don't know what exactly is going on he's
0:54:15 he's sort of this chaotic character in
0:54:17 me
0:54:17 maybe he's looking for attention sure
0:54:19 maybe you know as he's looking for
0:54:20 attention and angela
0:54:22 sponsor guide him isn't
0:54:25 um no live stream until
0:54:29 justin is muslim are we protesting
0:54:34 i think you know you can't really force
0:54:35 anyone to obviously we all know you
0:54:37 can't force anyone to become muslim but
0:54:39 uh you have to look at people's
0:54:41 circumstances environments
0:54:43 you know it's not a simple situation uh
0:54:46 obviously
0:54:47 yourself and jake you are you know you
0:54:50 can give their own personal experiences
0:54:52 coming from a non-muslim background can
0:54:54 explain it better
0:54:55 but you know so don't expect these
0:54:58 miracles
0:54:59 or not miracles but don't expect people
0:55:01 to go undergo these radical changes
0:55:04 yeah and you you may be surprised um
0:55:07 but you know you've just got to kind of
0:55:09 temper your expectations
0:55:10 uh it's not always the case uh there's
0:55:13 many a time where even people
0:55:15 are really convinced of it but then
0:55:17 other
0:55:19 social uh conditions sort of
0:55:22 uh conditions in the sense that you know
0:55:23 the fears of what people will say
0:55:25 or um you know like how it's
0:55:28 it is it can be quite a radical change
0:55:30 in lifestyle um
0:55:32 and you know there is a lot of anxiety
0:55:34 about how that might be
0:55:36 sort of perceived by the people you have
0:55:38 around you in your life
0:55:40 your social circles and it's not just
0:55:42 justin we don't want to pick on him or
0:55:43 anything you know it's
0:55:45 i my experience and more and more of
0:55:47 doing dawah is that
0:55:49 a lot of times when once you get down to
0:55:52 it
0:55:53 it's not really an intellectual problem
0:55:55 it's
0:55:56 something else that's going on whether
0:55:57 it be emotional or personal life
0:56:00 circumstances things like that
0:56:02 because i i see that many times when you
0:56:06 remove the intellectual impediments
0:56:10 the person still many times doesn't
0:56:12 become muslim
0:56:13 you know if there's other stuff usually
0:56:16 that's going on
0:56:17 so yeah which i think as well is
0:56:20 probably one of the motivating
0:56:22 reasons why some of the the more
0:56:24 seasoned dua end up just kind of
0:56:25 focusing on
0:56:26 the concepts of the vitara and the issue
0:56:29 um
0:56:30 surrounding that uh because it like you
0:56:32 say there it
0:56:33 it does feel like sometimes a lot of
0:56:35 it's just like a clouded fifa issue
0:56:37 um and trying to overcome that in some
0:56:40 way
0:56:41 um so yes it's interesting uh
0:56:47 guide us all uh blazing he said here
0:56:50 perhaps you can
0:56:51 have brothers from other dollar channels
0:56:53 come on every week
0:56:54 so we just wanna get hamza i'm to get
0:56:57 what is it hamza from hamza den
0:56:58 on yeah not because
0:57:02 get him to shout out to people we should
0:57:05 uh
0:57:05 i'm going to be speaking to him this
0:57:07 evening so i can mention it to him
0:57:09 but um i think the
0:57:12 the the issue with this as well we don't
0:57:14 want to kind of have a
0:57:16 a crowded panel i think the benefit of
0:57:18 what we've been doing
0:57:20 is that we try to sort of keep it to
0:57:21 around four on the panel
0:57:23 maximum and even that i think is still
0:57:25 quite a lot
0:57:26 um but i think we make a good little
0:57:27 team so it'd be a shame to sort of
0:57:29 reduce it any further than that um the
0:57:31 four's probably the sweet spot
0:57:33 i think you start getting to five six
0:57:35 seven eight yeah yeah
0:57:36 yeah it gets a bit a bit silly and then
0:57:38 you've got your guests coming on
0:57:40 as well um on top of that and the screen
0:57:43 ends up with too many things on there
0:57:45 um many people don't end up having the
0:57:47 opportunity to speak
0:57:48 and it just sort of becomes a battle of
0:57:50 the will uh you know who can assert
0:57:52 themselves
0:57:52 and their voice um more often so yeah
0:57:56 and we don't want uh you know yeah
0:57:58 yeah exactly and it's not even out of
0:57:59 bad nature either it's sort of out of
0:58:01 a consequence of having too many people
0:58:03 on a panel
0:58:05 it's it's a sort of necessary and the
0:58:07 other the other problem is
0:58:08 that we had that issue last time is that
0:58:12 when you have 10 people in the chat
0:58:15 including the panelists
0:58:16 nobody can like you know kind of uh
0:58:19 call in and wait ten is the maximum so
0:58:23 if you already have say six seven eight
0:58:26 panelists
0:58:27 there's only like you know two three
0:58:29 spots for people to be waiting to get on
0:58:31 the show
0:58:32 so um that becomes a bit of a problem
0:58:35 also
0:58:36 do we which um version stream ad do we
0:58:39 have and does it increase because
0:58:40 the when we were doing it on mine i'm
0:58:43 i've got like a special offer one so
0:58:45 i've not got the full package
0:58:46 we did it on your one yeah so but that
0:58:49 that's what i'm saying so that
0:58:50 maybe there was a limit there what
0:58:53 package have we got now
0:58:56 so but what's is there a different limit
0:58:58 in terms of the guests on that one i
0:59:00 don't know
0:59:00 we would have to you would have to check
0:59:02 yeah so we that's what we'll um we'll
0:59:04 look into because
0:59:05 that obviously that affects it as well
0:59:07 but personally i think we should try and
0:59:08 keep it to around
0:59:09 four on the panel um and then maybe
0:59:12 obviously if we're going to try and
0:59:13 extend it to um a
0:59:16 a weekly thing at some point uh like but
0:59:19 myself i'm gonna try and stick to just
0:59:21 once every two week
0:59:22 uh when i am free and i've got a bit
0:59:24 more time i can maybe jump on to the
0:59:26 extra streams
0:59:28 um but that extra week we can maybe try
0:59:29 and fill out with inviting guests on
0:59:32 and obviously if i'm not about then uh
0:59:34 that would keep the
0:59:36 the panel to the full limit yeah which
0:59:39 would be pretty good
0:59:40 uh because obviously that's i think that
0:59:41 was one of the main things we emphasized
0:59:43 when we began this was just
0:59:45 not having it overcrowded yeah and you
0:59:48 got it people got to understand that the
0:59:49 other brothers
0:59:50 mashallah they're doing a lot of streams
0:59:53 on their own so they're pretty busy
0:59:55 yeah it's um we don't want to overwhelm
0:59:57 anybody else and
0:59:59 you know we will definitely invite them
1:00:01 though and um
1:00:02 try to get them involved uh but
1:00:04 obviously
1:00:05 depends on schedules and things like
1:00:07 that yeah
1:00:08 uh if you host someone like jay dire to
1:00:10 debate jake i think that would be
1:00:12 interesting
1:00:13 jake have you tried reaching out to him
1:00:15 for a debate on
1:00:17 yeah i have spoken to jay directly um
1:00:20 he is in the process of studying up for
1:00:24 a debate with uh asrara
1:00:30 yeah on his channel and they're supposed
1:00:32 to have a debate
1:00:34 uh jay they're just waiting on jay i
1:00:36 think to
1:00:37 study up on islamic theology first
1:00:40 um so yeah maybe eventually that will
1:00:44 happen
1:00:45 but um yeah he's he's going he's
1:00:49 got a lot going on and he's preparing
1:00:50 for that debate so
1:00:52 yeah i can imagine he's got a lot of
1:00:54 people
1:00:55 trying to engage maybe at some point
1:00:56 after that i mean he
1:00:58 he's expressed to me that he he would
1:00:59 like to debate me so
1:01:01 maybe it'll happen in charlotte
1:01:02 sometimes yeah i don't think it's the
1:01:04 case that jake's been trying to
1:01:06 uh contact jay jay's actually been
1:01:08 trying to contact
1:01:09 jade but i think the issue is that jay
1:01:10 dyer is not
1:01:12 a proper the you know theologian
1:01:16 he's just a youtuber uh he sort of like
1:01:20 mirrors some of the atheist youtubers
1:01:22 that you come across you know very
1:01:25 uh brash uh out there in the ways
1:01:28 approaches well to be fair we're um
1:01:31 just youtubers as well
1:01:35Music 1:01:36 no i i think i think sharif is really
1:01:38 talking about
1:01:39 approach to the discussions and
1:01:42 another way that one speaks to the
1:01:45 person that they're
1:01:47 either discussing with or debating with
1:01:49 yeah but
1:01:50 you know he he had a nice discussion
1:01:53 with
1:01:53 uh shithesrar so i don't know i think
1:01:57 there may be
1:01:58 maybe start to notice uh you know
1:02:05 because another have seen a few of his
1:02:06 conversations that have been pretty good
1:02:08 um and they weren't that too bad to be
1:02:11 honest um
1:02:12 i think it depends on who he's talking
1:02:14 to like what you were saying earlier
1:02:15 yusuf
1:02:16 is that if it's somebody that he's
1:02:19 already
1:02:20 got issues with it's not going to be
1:02:23 really a good
1:02:24 conversation yeah he's blowing up a few
1:02:26 times on youtube
1:02:28 yeah so insulting things like that
1:02:32 so that's one of them i think it's sort
1:02:34 of um
1:02:36 we underestimate how hard youtube
1:02:39 personalities can sort of
1:02:40 have it in terms of constant exposure to
1:02:43 countless people
1:02:44 and yeah you're right it is difficult it
1:02:47 sort of becomes
1:02:48 expected that you're going to have a
1:02:50 sort of blow up at some point
1:02:51 um because it's sometimes it can be sort
1:02:53 of um
1:02:55 a never-ending circle of just you've got
1:02:57 the same people saying the same
1:02:59 crap sometimes yeah you might you might
1:03:02 get upset and annoyed with
1:03:03 the comments but when you're invited on
1:03:05 a person's show or you invite people on
1:03:08 your show
1:03:08 and then you have a like a big storm of
1:03:11 an argument
1:03:12 you've invited the person to debate it
1:03:15 yeah it comes across slightly
1:03:17 inappropriate but anyway i think
1:03:19 obviously jake it would be great if
1:03:21 you know if it can be done and you know
1:03:24 and jay can remain respectful that it
1:03:26 would be a great discussion to have
1:03:28 yeah like i said we'll see how it goes
1:03:30 with uh jay
1:03:32 and the chef you know uh if it goes well
1:03:37 yeah i mean based on that i mean that'll
1:03:40 uh
1:03:41 give us an idea of what to do moving
1:03:44 forward
1:03:46 all right uh is that the same link we've
1:03:49 shared oh yeah so listen to the podcast
1:03:50 on spotify
1:03:54 artificial intelligence and ethics
1:03:57 and a future so this would be good
1:03:58 because the artificial intelligence sort
1:04:00 of links to the
1:04:01 problem of consciousness thing we were
1:04:02 speaking about as well um
1:04:04 so it might be a good segue point into
1:04:07 that discussion too
1:04:09 um yeah and ethics
1:04:12 and futurism do you mean all of that in
1:04:14 one
1:04:15 show or do you mean by separate shows
1:04:18 those would be separate shows yeah just
1:04:20 maybe seeing how they would relate
1:04:22 um and future we do have a brother we do
1:04:24 have a brother in mind for
1:04:26 ethics and problem of evil stuff like
1:04:28 that so yeah
1:04:30 we'll be addressing that who are you
1:04:31 thinking
1:04:33 our brother staff doctor suffrage uh you
1:04:40 should link up with
1:04:40 muhammad hijab another dollar bros to
1:04:42 get your channel
1:04:44 up to big audiences yeah easier said
1:04:47 than done though it's
1:04:48 you know again these brothers are really
1:04:50 really busy they're not only
1:04:51 they're running their own channels but
1:04:52 like mohammed jim for example is he's um
1:04:55 he's doing a lot of work
1:04:56 sapience institute he's studying so he's
1:04:58 at universities
1:04:59 you know it's uh you know
1:05:02 ideally this is you know it's nice in
1:05:05 thought
1:05:06 but it's difficult to sort of i think
1:05:08 also you've got to understand these
1:05:10 are our audiences are maybe slightly
1:05:12 different to some of the other streams
1:05:14 and the audiences that they have so you
1:05:17 know we don't really have as many
1:05:19 you know uh raucous debates with the
1:05:22 guests maybe that some of the other
1:05:24 places have
1:05:25 uh we try and keep it a little bit more
1:05:27 chilled uh and talk about
1:05:29 maybe more of the intellectual type
1:05:31 topics
1:05:32 um so you know we just need to
1:05:33 understand that sometimes you know
1:05:35 alhamdulillah they have
1:05:37 you know great exposure and audience and
1:05:39 do great work but they have a particular
1:05:41 audience that they might
1:05:42 attract it but you know maybe there's a
1:05:44 different type of audience that we
1:05:46 attract
1:05:47 so um yeah so for i think for from our
1:05:51 perspective it's great having
1:05:53 loads of people watching it but at the
1:05:55 same time
1:05:56 uh you know you know if we don't have
1:05:59 hundreds of thousands of subs i don't
1:06:02 think that necessarily would demotivate
1:06:04 us in terms of continuing with this
1:06:05 because
1:06:07 you know it's the quality of the
1:06:08 engagement is is what keeps us
1:06:10 us engaged in doing these types of
1:06:12 programs inshallah
1:06:14 yeah and we we made it quite clear as
1:06:15 well in the first episode um
1:06:18 in in general we're gonna try and keep
1:06:20 it as
1:06:22 uh i don't know what was the the way we
1:06:25 put it
1:06:26 just chilled as as we can um hello
1:06:30 you know i mean not nothing a little bit
1:06:32 maybe
1:06:33 needle but not too much what does that
1:06:37 mean
1:06:42 i mean that's to do with the voice isn't
1:06:43 it is the voice of the woman
1:06:45 is that naked no it's not older from an
1:06:47 islamic point of view but just generally
1:06:50 uh jake and william lane craig
1:06:53 matthew jay would you do that william
1:06:56 lane craig
1:06:56 talk about oh yeah lovely
1:07:00 i would love to inshallah get jordan
1:07:03 peterson
1:07:05 so you're really asking us to make magic
1:07:07 happen here with some of these things
1:07:10 like that's what he's guessing what's he
1:07:12 got like 1.5 million
1:07:13 followers on twitter you're fighting uh
1:07:16 you're trying to scream into a hurricane
1:07:18 and get heard with these kind of
1:07:21 requests
1:07:22 uh let's have a look
1:07:27 favorite is the contingents argument
1:07:31 suggestions comparativism capitalism
1:07:34 socialism
1:07:34 islam that might be a good little
1:07:37 comparison
1:07:38 like uh where does islam sit between
1:07:41 capitalism and socialism and in what
1:07:43 regard that might be interesting
1:07:45 uh dialectical materialism historical
1:07:49 evolution
1:07:50 i'm just talking about communism sorry
1:07:53 so
1:07:53 karl marx is there but yeah we'll have a
1:07:56 look at that in charlotte
1:07:57 definitely um
1:08:02 yusuf where can i find your article on
1:08:04 nihilism so i've got two
1:08:05 uh there's one on my website which is
1:08:08 pondering soul dot blog
1:08:11 uh all right is that the 17
1:08:15 000 worded article uh
1:08:18 no that's that's the second one so this
1:08:20 one's my dissertation
1:08:21 so if you just show if basically if you
1:08:23 search yusuf ponder's
1:08:25 nihilism on google it should pop up but
1:08:28 if you go on ponderingsoul.blog
1:08:29 and then go to my blog section on that
1:08:32 website
1:08:33 um you'll find it there and so my
1:08:35 dissertation is on there that's about i
1:08:37 think 12 000
1:08:38 words um and then
1:08:44 we think i'm talking to her um and then
1:08:47 the
1:08:47 the other one that i did was on sapiens
1:08:49 institute
1:08:51 which is taking us institute.org
1:08:54Applause 1:08:58 if you head over to there you should
1:09:01 find my article on nihilism as a poison
1:09:03 i think or nihilism is
1:09:05 a sickness i can't remember what we
1:09:06 titled it as in the end but um
1:09:09 the other one will be on there so
1:09:10 there's two articles the first one
1:09:12 the dissertation focuses on um like what
1:09:14 nihilism is and moving on to
1:09:16 a look at this idea of the leap of faith
1:09:19 and then the idea of the will to meaning
1:09:22 um and that's this one hasn't really got
1:09:25 much reference to islam in it
1:09:26 um so i was just focusing on uh
1:09:30 you know philosophy at the time and then
1:09:32 the the one that i've done for sapiens
1:09:33 institute it's got more of an islamic
1:09:35 uh tint to it so to speak and it's much
1:09:38 longer and this goes through a different
1:09:40 path
1:09:41 to dealing with nihilism so they're not
1:09:42 identical by any means
1:09:44 um they're two very difficult articles
1:09:45 but you can check them both out there uh
1:09:48 inshallah um
1:09:51 let's have a look
1:09:55 uh
1:09:58 what happened what did i do i don't get
1:10:02 what
1:10:02 was that when was that 244 how long ago
1:10:04 what was that i believe yeah we're like
1:10:06 half an hour behind on the comments how
1:10:07 did this happen
1:10:09 how many comments are there i don't know
1:10:11 i think there's some
1:10:12 debate that took place as well in the
1:10:14 comments yeah i don't think we're gonna
1:10:16 be able to go for all these because
1:10:18 i'm i'm gonna have to go um
1:10:21 quite soon i think i think we've done
1:10:23 about an hour and
1:10:25 ten minutes hour and ten minutes yeah
1:10:27 yeah martial
1:10:28 so uh i think it was only meant to be
1:10:30 half an hour just to thank the brothers
1:10:32 and sisters who've been watching it
1:10:33 and yeah watching our shows and
1:10:35 subscribing
1:10:37 we've had a few people jump on them
1:10:38 we've got like 49 people now uh
1:10:41 i'll just run through these really
1:10:42 quickly i'm gonna check them all
1:10:44 see if anything pops out eastern
1:10:46 philosophy might be an interesting one
1:10:48 um if it's got a tag in it i'm just
1:10:51 gonna skip over it
1:10:54Music 1:10:56 i think most of it is just conversation
1:10:58 between people
1:11:00 uh
1:11:04 believe me neck i got to the bottom and
1:11:07 then it's loaded another million so i
1:11:08 didn't even get
1:11:11 oh yeah yeah right so we're probably
1:11:13 best just leaving it there
1:11:14 um don't forget everybody to like
1:11:17 share and comment um as that really
1:11:21 helps
1:11:21 and subscribe and that was gonna get
1:11:24 someone
1:11:25 and uh definitely subscribe if you
1:11:27 haven't also turn on the notifications
1:11:29 so next to the subscribe button
1:11:31 there's a bell and if you click that
1:11:34 bell
1:11:35 and turn on all notifications whenever
1:11:37 we go live you'll get a notification
1:11:39 inshallah if you don't
1:11:40 then it's you know haphazard so whether
1:11:42 or not you'll actually get a
1:11:43 notification
1:11:45 um for when we're going online otherwise
1:11:47 follow us on our social media
1:11:49 uh all of this should be in the
1:11:50 description uh i'm not 100 sure if it is
1:11:54 oh we've got that sorted properly but
1:11:56 it's pretty easy to find us so if you
1:11:57 just search
1:11:58 um t at t i'll put it on the
1:12:01 banner again probably better um
1:12:04 if you just search thought adventure
1:12:06 podcast i think on facebook it should
1:12:07 come up
1:12:08 uh and then on twitter it is t
1:12:10 underscore
1:12:12 a underscore podcast
1:12:15 uh so if you follow search for that on
1:12:17 twitter you'll find it's there i think
1:12:18 we're on instagram as well search
1:12:20 thought adventure podcast that should
1:12:21 come up
1:12:23 and engage with us on there talk about
1:12:25 us with your friends
1:12:26 your family mention oh have you heard of
1:12:28 this podcast that's pretty cool
1:12:30 because that helps more than people
1:12:32 realize sometimes as well
1:12:33 um and yeah again to
1:12:37 everyone who's joined us and subscribed
1:12:39 already al hamdulillah
1:12:41 we we hit 1k much quicker than we
1:12:43 thought we were going to
1:12:44 also just really quickly yeah just to
1:12:46 remind as well the audience
1:12:48 that yourself and jake they've got their
1:12:51 own channel to support their channel as
1:12:52 well
1:12:53 and charlie yeah so feel free to search
1:12:55 the muslim metaphysician
1:12:57 uh although metaphysician is always a
1:13:01 really difficult word to say let alone
1:13:03 spell uh i'll pull that up on the the
1:13:05 eminem's
1:13:06 show yeah eminem
1:13:11 although i read the the red m ms are
1:13:13 meant to be haram
1:13:16 you know i did used to be a white rapper
1:13:19 so
1:13:19 it goes along with the things
1:13:24 shut that one up so that's his channel
1:13:26 again
1:13:30 into the uh the description so it should
1:13:32 be there and links available
1:13:34 uh so do check his channel out make sure
1:13:36 to subscribe and support him would have
1:13:38 um however you can
1:13:39 we've all got social media if you check
1:13:40 our youtube channels you can usually
1:13:42 find links to the the other social media
1:13:44 yeah i'm more on facebook but anyway
1:13:46 yeah and we're trying to convince him to
1:13:48 make a channel
1:13:49 uh although it looks like he might start
1:13:51 just kind of making
1:13:52 sure for this one yeah maybe
1:13:55 we'll see how it goes and then uh with
1:13:57 regards to me we just searched pondering
1:13:59 soul
1:14:00 or yusuf ponders uh you should find
1:14:03 me easily as well uh on all platforms
1:14:06 with that
1:14:07 but um yeah and abdul rahman as well
1:14:09 he's got uh social media i've
1:14:11 managed to convince him to get onto
1:14:13 twitter um yeah we forced him to get a
1:14:15 twitter
1:14:16 yeah we had to fight him almost to get
1:14:18 him on there but if you go to
1:14:19 tap podcast um
1:14:22 we all of our tags are in the bio there
1:14:25 so it should be pretty easy to find
1:14:27 um but thank you for joining us and
1:14:29 engaging welcome salaam to everyone uh
1:14:31 who joined after we said salams in
1:14:33 salami we've not returned
1:14:35 to uh as just quite a few of you on now
1:14:38 um but other than that but yeah just
1:14:39 remember feedback
1:14:40 in the comments um we've not been able
1:14:42 to go through all of the live chat
1:14:44 but if you haven't had what your
1:14:46 comments responded to please do copy and
1:14:48 paste them over or just write them again
1:14:50 in the the comments section um when the
1:14:53 the live has
1:14:54 has concluded or now and and we'll
1:14:58 again we'll read through them all like i
1:14:59 say we won't necessarily be able to
1:15:00 respond to every one of them but we will
1:15:02 be reading them and we will be taking
1:15:04 any feedback seriously um obviously as
1:15:06 long as it is
1:15:07 serious feedback and you're not just
1:15:08 trolling and um but yeah so other than
1:15:11 that
1:15:11 may allah bless you all i'll guide us
1:15:13 all and
1:15:15 we'll see you on sunday for our next
1:15:17 podcast
1:15:18 episode six on uh the
1:15:21 stage two arguments for the the kalam so
1:15:24 trying to argue from and that's
1:15:25 a necessary being uh to the existence of
1:15:29 god
1:15:29 uh specifically other than that thank
1:15:32 you everybody
1:15:36 what's foreign
