Standing on the Shoulders of Giants (2022-10-07)

Description

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

As-salāmu 'alaykum,

To help us think big, we should look at the vision of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His vision was that Islām would enter every home in the world. In his words,

“Islām will certainly reach every place touched by the night and day. Allāh will not leave a house or residence, but that Allāh will cause His religion to enter it.” [Musnad Aḥmad 16957]

Do you lack clarity on your vision on how to serve the da’wah best?

Or maybe you doubt that your vision is “big enough,’’ and whether or not it is congruent with your strategy and day-to-day work?

If so, join us in our upcoming webinar, Standing on the Shoulders of Giants on Thursday 6th October, 2.30 PM Houston Time and 7.30 PM London Time.

We will be answering the following questions:

  1. Why do you need a vision?

  2. Why do you need a strategy?

  3. Why do you need these to be successful?

  4. Why do you need to adopt the principles and qualities from the Qur’ān and Prophetic character?

We hope that answering these questions will compel you to join us in The Visionaries retreat this October.

If you plan to attend the retreat, this webinar will be the first step on your journey. We’ll teach you the “how” to each of these points at the retreat, in-shā-a-Allāh.

Even if you don’t plan to attend the retreat, you can still benefit from this webinar, in-shā-a-Allāh.

0:00:02 Brothers
0:00:13 and sisters and friends and welcome to
0:00:16 today's webinar
0:00:17 It's All About The Visionaries yes
0:00:20 indeed The Visionaries and every Muslim
0:00:23 must be a visionary
0:00:26 and this is really about successful
0:00:28 dower for the 21st century brothers and
0:00:31 sisters now when we say the 21st century
0:00:34 we mean applying the Quran the Sunnah
0:00:38 the sublime Universal values
0:00:42 from the Quran in the Sunnah in the way
0:00:46 of our classical scholarship the way of
0:00:50 our Pious Masters spiritual Masters if
0:00:52 you like the scholars the pious
0:00:54 predecessors and we want to take their
0:00:57 methodology take their Timeless
0:00:59 principles and apply it in the 21st
0:01:02 century brothers and sisters because it
0:01:03 is without a doubt if we move away from
0:01:06 the book of Allah
0:01:08 we move away from the son of the Prophet
0:01:10 sallallahu alaihi wasallam we move away
0:01:13 from normative Islam from these Timeless
0:01:16 values we're not going to have true
0:01:19 success
0:01:20 we are not going to have true success
0:01:23 we're not going to optimize our work and
0:01:26 the Dow is not going to be optimized
0:01:29 and not just that we're not going to
0:01:31 have Baraka what's Baraka brothers and
0:01:34 sisters it's one plus one is equal to
0:01:37 five right you put two naturalistic
0:01:40 things to naturalistic things together
0:01:42 and you think you're gonna get two of
0:01:44 those things but Allah puts something in
0:01:46 there it's his Baraka and it's increased
0:01:49 so do we want Baraka in the Dara
0:01:51 brothers and sisters do we want true
0:01:54 success because the definition of
0:01:56 success here is very important it's not
0:01:58 just vanity metrics yes of course
0:02:01 numbers are very important we want many
0:02:02 people to become Muslim but we have to
0:02:04 have a vision and insight into the
0:02:07 future to see if that's going to sustain
0:02:08 itself and we also have to have impact
0:02:11 which doesn't necessarily link to
0:02:13 numbers but there are other metrics or
0:02:16 other principles that we have to
0:02:18 implement so if we want true success
0:02:21 true
0:02:23 up to mudawa we want to follow the
0:02:25 principles the Timeless principles and
0:02:27 that's where the success in the barakah
0:02:29 lies the the principles from the Quran
0:02:32 and Sunnah
0:02:33 if we are following these things then
0:02:35 insha Allah we're going to achieve our
0:02:38 vision and this is in the hands of Allah
0:02:41 anyway and we're going to explore this a
0:02:43 little bit you're going to understand
0:02:44 that true success comes from Allah
0:02:46 success is in the hands of Allah we just
0:02:50 have to do our bit remember our
0:02:52 tradition from a more ethical and
0:02:54 valuous perspective we're not you know
0:02:56 we're not secular utilitarian
0:02:59 utilitarianists right we're not a
0:03:01 utility we don't follow utilitarian
0:03:03 philosophy meaning here's an action and
0:03:06 I'm going to see the consequences of
0:03:07 this particular action right we don't
0:03:10 have really have that perspective we're
0:03:11 not ego ethicists or you know ethical
0:03:15 egoists right meaning that I want to
0:03:18 focus on how it benefits me and we're
0:03:20 not utilitarian from the point of view
0:03:22 that I want to maximize you know
0:03:25 well-being for everybody I want to
0:03:28 maximize well-being and from a
0:03:30 collective point of view and I want to
0:03:32 basically
0:03:33 minimize any harm and suffering from a
0:03:36 secular perspective because we're not
0:03:38 doing it just from okay look I'm getting
0:03:40 all of these results it must be
0:03:41 fantastic no because in Islam the method
0:03:44 is also very important too we're not
0:03:45 Machiavellian right we believe things
0:03:47 have intrinsic value we believe things
0:03:50 have more value because they are
0:03:53 manifested by the commands of Allah so
0:03:57 you could be successful from a
0:03:59 utilitarian point of view meaning you
0:04:01 achieve something great in the dollar
0:04:02 maybe you raise millions of pounds maybe
0:04:05 you have millions of shahadas or
0:04:08 whatever the case may be but if you
0:04:10 followed a method and an approach to
0:04:12 principles that were not in line with
0:04:15 Islam and there were a way of The
0:04:17 Obedience of Allah it was Disobedience
0:04:19 then
0:04:21 I truly believe I truly believe you will
0:04:24 not have Baraka not only won't you have
0:04:26 barakah but that that success is only
0:04:30 going to be very short term maybe after
0:04:31 your lifetime because you didn't do it
0:04:33 because you obeyed Allah maybe the next
0:04:35 generation is going to fail because you
0:04:37 didn't do the right thing you didn't
0:04:38 obey Allah you didn't follow the right
0:04:40 time as principles and it could it could
0:04:42 also mean that you may not get much of
0:04:44 the rule though your reward is
0:04:45 diminished right so it's very important
0:04:47 to understand that the success is from
0:04:49 Allah we have to follow the right thing
0:04:51 and once we do that we'll find in the
0:04:54 short term the median term medium term
0:04:56 and the long term
0:04:59 success and it's very important so when
0:05:02 we talk about The Visionaries brothers
0:05:04 and sisters we essentially want you to
0:05:06 understand that you have to have a
0:05:08 vision for your life you have to have a
0:05:10 strategy which is the domain of actions
0:05:12 or the necessary actions that link to
0:05:14 the success of your vision meaning that
0:05:16 these actions when you've consulted
0:05:18 people and you've done your analysis
0:05:20 when you've looked into the course and
0:05:21 in the Sunnah you look you've done shura
0:05:23 and so on and so forth you know that
0:05:25 these actions are likely going to
0:05:28 lead to the success and the Fulfillment
0:05:30 of your vision and we have to follow
0:05:32 principles and qualities in order for us
0:05:35 to execute that strategy in order for us
0:05:37 to have Baraka in the dawah and success
0:05:40 and for our vision to fulfill it for it
0:05:43 to be fulfilled and these principles and
0:05:45 qualities are derived from the Quran and
0:05:48 the Sunnah and we have to follow these
0:05:50 principles and qualities because our
0:05:51 Deen is a dean of surrendering we
0:05:54 surrender our ego we surrender our
0:05:57 perspective even we surrender ourselves
0:05:59 to whom to Allah
0:06:01 who is
0:06:04 the knowing the wise Allah has the
0:06:06 picture we just have a pixelated
0:06:08 understanding of reality Allah knows the
0:06:11 consequences Allah has the full picture
0:06:13 we just have a pixel if that and Allah
0:06:17 tells us to obey the messengers
0:06:20 so we are successful and that we receive
0:06:24 the mercy as well part of this obedience
0:06:26 is to emulate him and
0:06:32 was a perfect Noble human being he had
0:06:36 the highest moral character and so we
0:06:39 should emulate him so when you look into
0:06:41 his life you look into the principles
0:06:42 you look into the Quran you could derive
0:06:45 some very key profound principles and
0:06:48 qualities and once you internalize them
0:06:49 once you become them not that you know
0:06:52 them intellectually but you intend
0:06:54 internalize them in your way of being it
0:06:56 changes your heart it changes your
0:06:58 tongue it changes how you relate to
0:06:59 yourself how you relate to others and
0:07:01 how you relate to Allah once you
0:07:03 internalize them in this way I truly
0:07:05 believe you will not fail and you will
0:07:08 see the results in the akhara and insha
0:07:10 Allah in the Dunya so this is what we're
0:07:12 going to be talking about in summary of
0:07:13 course
0:07:14 and also this webinar brothers and
0:07:16 sisters is a way to introduce what on
0:07:18 Earth The Visionaries is about now
0:07:20 obviously I've spoken about a few things
0:07:22 passionately for sure because this is a
0:07:24 very passionate topic for me and uh
0:07:27 maybe now's the time just to explain a
0:07:28 little bit what this
0:07:30 Retreat is because when we talk about
0:07:32 The Visionaries we're talking about
0:07:34 successful dial for the 21st century is
0:07:36 to retreat that hopefully we want to
0:07:39 replicate every year and the first
0:07:42 Retreat is going to happen in Turkey in
0:07:44 sapanda on the 21st of October to the
0:07:48 25th of October at a five star resort is
0:07:53 called the Kabir deluxe hotel sapanja
0:07:56 and if you say in proper Turkish because
0:07:59 it's a c a c in Turkish was like it's
0:08:01 the jabir deluxe hotel sepanja and it's
0:08:05 a five-star Resort and we have a few
0:08:09 days together in order to get our vision
0:08:11 right our strategy right and to
0:08:13 understand 14 principles and qualities
0:08:16 we have to internalize it has to become
0:08:19 part of our spiritual and physical DNA
0:08:21 in order for our strategy to be executed
0:08:24 for us to have Baraka for us to have
0:08:26 success and for us to fulfill our vision
0:08:28 a vision that is Allah Centric in line
0:08:31 with the pleasure of Allah
0:08:32 and this the whole Retreat is going to
0:08:36 do a kind of
0:08:39 an analysis from a guidance perspective
0:08:41 what do I mean by this
0:08:43 when you look at a lot of visionary
0:08:45 exercises Vision Retreats or Vision
0:08:48 Educational
0:08:49 I don't know books or webinars whatever
0:08:52 the case may be and people talking about
0:08:53 strategy usually it's in a kind of
0:08:56 capitalist framework or usually it's in
0:08:58 a kind of secular framework and you have
0:09:00 to remember we shouldn't be naive about
0:09:02 this we have to understand that every
0:09:04 domain of knowledge every domain of
0:09:06 knowledge has its own epistemological
0:09:08 metaphysical philosophical assumptions
0:09:10 but because we see things working or it
0:09:12 sounds really nice what we do we dive
0:09:14 into the epistemological metaphysical
0:09:17 and philosophical lizard hole and we
0:09:19 think it's the cave of Hira right we
0:09:22 need to be aware that that's not the
0:09:23 case given the fact that every domain of
0:09:26 knowledge has its own worldview
0:09:27 assumptions principles epistemology and
0:09:30 metaphysics
0:09:31 then sometimes we have to step back and
0:09:34 understand is this truly what Allah
0:09:36 wants from me is this truly grounded in
0:09:39 our tradition yes don't get me wrong
0:09:40 there's overlaps for sure I'm not
0:09:43 throwing the baby out with the bath
0:09:44 water for sure but there are overlaps
0:09:46 but you have to understand if you're
0:09:48 sincere to the message of Allah you're
0:09:50 sincere to to the um right and you want
0:09:54 success in the dollar true success then
0:09:57 you have to ask the question and step
0:09:59 back is this the right way is this how
0:10:01 you develop a vision is this how you
0:10:03 develop a strategy what kind of
0:10:04 principles and approaches must we have
0:10:06 because what happens usually
0:10:08 unfortunately brothers and sisters that
0:10:09 we read a nice book and we sprinkle some
0:10:11 ayats and Hadith and Quran on there
0:10:13 we'll just give it a bit of sprinkling
0:10:14 right it's like you know many forms of
0:10:16 Islamic Finance this day it's basically
0:10:18 capitalism with the topi yeah or
0:10:20 capitalism with the beard so the point
0:10:22 is we we don't do a sincere reading we
0:10:26 don't develop ground up what does it
0:10:29 mean to have a vision from a quranic
0:10:30 point of view what is does it mean to
0:10:32 have a strategy from a quranic point of
0:10:33 view what does it mean to be a leader in
0:10:36 the tower to be someone in the Tao to to
0:10:39 be successful in the Dao for the sake of
0:10:41 Allah what does that mean what kind of
0:10:42 principles must I internalize and adopt
0:10:44 and what kind of qualities yes don't get
0:10:47 me wrong there's going to be overlaps
0:10:49 with great things that's working in the
0:10:50 in the world but we have to start from
0:10:52 the ground up meaning we have to go back
0:10:55 to the Quran the way of the prophet
0:10:57 salallahu alaihi wasallam and truly
0:10:59 understand what is a chronic perspective
0:11:01 of vision what's the Islamic concept of
0:11:05 success and so on and so forth and this
0:11:07 is exactly what the retreat is going to
0:11:10 be doing brothers and sisters insha
0:11:11 Allah now
0:11:13 there's a few things I want to say as an
0:11:15 introduction to The Retreat then we go
0:11:16 into kind of the main content of the
0:11:18 webinar and we're going to be answering
0:11:19 your questions as well inshallah so the
0:11:21 first thing I want you to just really
0:11:23 think about this question is look Allah
0:11:26 gave you gifts
0:11:28 Allah gave you gifts where you live your
0:11:31 parents your health your wealth your
0:11:35 potential you are aware of that
0:11:36 potential you're not aware of Allah has
0:11:39 given you certain gifts so the question
0:11:41 I have for you is are you just going to
0:11:42 throw them away we all have unique
0:11:44 talents and skills and and so many
0:11:47 possibilities in actual fact we have
0:11:49 possibilities we're not aware of why
0:11:51 because sometimes we frame who we are
0:11:54 from the limitations of our own ideas in
0:11:56 the past right but we have to understand
0:11:58 that these are just these are just
0:12:01 false lenses in order to understand
0:12:03 ourselves because we're fixated and
0:12:06 we're imprisoned by the past and by that
0:12:09 drama if you like our negative
0:12:11 experiences our limited ideas and so on
0:12:13 and so forth and that becomes a lens to
0:12:15 understand ourselves our present and the
0:12:18 future and this is problematic but
0:12:20 that's another topic but the point is
0:12:22 there are possibilities we're not even
0:12:24 aware of so what is the best way of
0:12:26 showing gratitude for these gifts
0:12:28 brothers and sisters right what is the
0:12:29 best way isn't it to do something
0:12:31 meaningful that's in line with Allah's
0:12:33 pleasure
0:12:34 and what could be better than calling to
0:12:37 Allah
0:12:39 calling to Allah calling people to
0:12:41 happiness in this world contentment in
0:12:43 this life and eternal happiness in the
0:12:45 hereafter
0:12:47 and Allah makes us very clear
0:12:49 about the status of these type of people
0:12:51 when Allah says verse 33 and who is
0:12:55 better in speech Allah is not asking
0:12:58 questions Allah is making kind of
0:13:00 emphatic
0:13:01 employee here he's an emphatic strategy
0:13:03 to say the one who calls to Allah the
0:13:07 one who calls to tawheed the fact Allah
0:13:08 is worthy of worship he's worthy of
0:13:10 utmost love of our unconditional
0:13:12 obedience Allah is worthy of uh utmost
0:13:14 gratitude of our extensive praise Allah
0:13:17 is worthy of us directing all acts of
0:13:19 worship to him alone the internal acts
0:13:21 of worship and external acts of worship
0:13:23 Allah is saying and who is speech and
0:13:25 the one who calls to Allah
0:13:27 does righteous tease and says I am one
0:13:30 of the Muslims this is the status of
0:13:32 someone who's calling to Allah but there
0:13:34 is a holistic strategy here brothers and
0:13:36 sisters I need to focus on this island
0:13:37 let's break it down Allah says who is
0:13:39 better in speech okay there's an
0:13:41 elevation of status here there is a form
0:13:43 of Praise there's a form of emphasis to
0:13:45 show that there's something very very
0:13:47 special about those who call to Allah do
0:13:50 righteousness and say I'm one of the
0:13:51 Muslims okay let's break this down let's
0:13:53 have a holistic understanding of the
0:13:55 doubt so Allah says you make the call
0:13:56 the one who calls to Allah and then
0:13:58 Allah says those who are righteous they
0:14:02 have righteous actions meaning you don't
0:14:03 just talk to talk but you walk the walk
0:14:05 you internalize and you adopt and you
0:14:08 become the principles and the qualities
0:14:11 found in the Sunnah that necessary way
0:14:14 of being on how to lead how to manage
0:14:16 people and so on and so forth and these
0:14:18 principles include what includes love
0:14:21 service generosity courage hikmah wisdom
0:14:25 humility egolessness Integrity
0:14:29 mentorship gratitude issued growth
0:14:32 learning Unity being time conscious
0:14:35 thinking having a sound awkwardness
0:14:37 sound intellect resilience
0:14:40 being Visionary and and there's so much
0:14:43 to unpack here but once we take these
0:14:45 from the Quran we internalize them then
0:14:48 this is also include doing good deeds so
0:14:51 we do the Good Deeds
0:14:53 and then what
0:14:54 and then Allah says
0:14:56 and they say I am one of the Muslims now
0:14:59 there's interesting interesting
0:15:01 pondering you can do here with regards
0:15:03 to this verse you can actually think
0:15:05 about well this is about me being humble
0:15:07 right I'm no one special see Allah
0:15:09 Praises these are the emphatic form of
0:15:12 Praise because it's like a rhetorical
0:15:13 question who is better in speech
0:15:15 there's something special about these
0:15:17 people then Allah says those people who
0:15:19 are special are those who call to Allah
0:15:21 do righteous deeds and they say I'm one
0:15:24 of the Muslims I'm nothing special this
0:15:26 is all because of Allah I'm not going to
0:15:29 have a sense of our job a sense of
0:15:30 self-amusement that for some reason is
0:15:33 something special about me I have the
0:15:35 intrinsic ability no no no this is one
0:15:38 of the key spiritual diseases of the
0:15:40 heart brothers and sisters as iraqion
0:15:42 says that the four major spiritual
0:15:45 diseases include
0:15:46 hassad Ria and kibber arrogance blame
0:15:50 with the jealousy ostentation and
0:15:53 self-amusement and all the other
0:15:55 spiritual diseases manifest from this
0:15:56 right they are derived from these
0:15:58 spiritual diseases so you know we we
0:16:00 don't have this sense of urge of we're
0:16:02 saying I'm just one of the Muslims
0:16:03 that's it could mean that and it could
0:16:05 also mean point of view that you link
0:16:08 your righteous actions to the fact that
0:16:10 you submit to Allah so this sense of
0:16:13 submitting this sense of surrendering
0:16:15 surrendering surrendering to Allah is so
0:16:17 important because this is the haldine
0:16:20 brothers and sisters to be a more slim
0:16:22 and more slim is not some kind of ethnic
0:16:24 identity right this is not it's not
0:16:26 identity politics here let's get real
0:16:28 being a Muslim is a way of being it's
0:16:31 not just a hat that you wear or a tattoo
0:16:33 that you put on your arm or something
0:16:34 that you sign
0:16:36 being a more slim is someone who is
0:16:39 surrendering to Allah peaceful surrender
0:16:41 to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala because you
0:16:44 know his reality you understand by
0:16:46 virtue of his realities names and
0:16:48 attributes that he is worthy of this
0:16:50 surrender and it's just a natural
0:16:52 manifestation of who we are anyway
0:16:54 because part of our innate normative
0:16:56 disposition the fitra anyway the point
0:16:59 is
0:17:00 it's about surrendering so that gives
0:17:02 you an idea that when you're doing good
0:17:04 deeds and in the context of dollar
0:17:06 leadership in the context of being a DI
0:17:07 in the context of activism then you need
0:17:10 to keep and remember reminding yourself
0:17:12 I am just one of the Muslims I'm
0:17:13 surrendering to Allah when I adopt
0:17:16 principles and strategies when I adopt
0:17:18 qualities and principles when I adopt a
0:17:21 vision and a strategic Focus this has to
0:17:24 be a manifestation an expression of my
0:17:27 surrender to Allah
0:17:30 and once you do that
0:17:32 they'll be buttock and they'll be
0:17:33 success inshallah so
0:17:35 one of the best ways of showing these
0:17:36 gifts to Allah is actually brothers and
0:17:39 sisters
0:17:40 um doing something meaningful what
0:17:42 better way than calling people to Allah
0:17:44 so there are a few things that maybe
0:17:46 you're these people the following people
0:17:48 you may lack Clarity right and Direction
0:17:51 on how to serve the Dao and how to best
0:17:54 optimize yourself and reach your
0:17:56 potential and this may be may leave you
0:17:58 confused and stuck and demotivated right
0:18:02 now even if your vision is clear so you
0:18:04 may be another person you may be a
0:18:05 person who maybe you have a Clear Vision
0:18:07 but you may be frustrated and helpless
0:18:09 because you don't know the correct
0:18:11 strategy to bring it to life
0:18:13 you may be a person who just feels
0:18:15 disillusioned and disempowered by the
0:18:16 current state of the dollar yes we need
0:18:18 to improve it that's why we've done this
0:18:19 Retreat as well
0:18:21 you may feel overwhelmed by the amount
0:18:23 of information and confuse on who to
0:18:26 refer to with regards to how you're
0:18:27 going to start your Tower journey and
0:18:29 obviously this causes a kind of Gap
0:18:31 inside you mentally spiritually
0:18:32 emotionally a gap with regards to
0:18:35 feeling disconnected and and maybe you
0:18:38 lack trust you may not trust the doubt
0:18:40 sector maybe you think you're not going
0:18:42 to get support
0:18:43 now you may be a professional with great
0:18:45 skills and you want to transition into
0:18:47 the zawa but you're a bit you're scared
0:18:50 right you have fear you feel uncertain
0:18:52 You're vulnerable You're anxious because
0:18:54 you're leaving something that you've
0:18:55 known and that you're good at and
0:18:57 something that you love in in to
0:19:00 something brand new
0:19:01 that has its own dynamic
0:19:04 or alternatively you may already be
0:19:07 making some great progress you may
0:19:08 making some great impact
0:19:11 leader of an organization over our team
0:19:16 whatever the case may be but you doubt
0:19:18 that your vision is big enough maybe
0:19:19 you're thinking well I've got success
0:19:21 but maybe I could do more maybe it's I
0:19:24 don't have a lofty goal I'm not thinking
0:19:25 big enough or wrong enough right
0:19:28 in terms of long term and you also feel
0:19:31 that you're not sure if your your
0:19:35 strategic focus is in line with your
0:19:37 vision or you you may think that maybe
0:19:40 your vision is not in line with your
0:19:42 day-to-day work
0:19:43 and this makes you feel inadequate as a
0:19:46 leader and you wonder even if you have
0:19:47 the right qualifications to make an
0:19:49 impact
0:19:50 alternatively maybe someone who
0:19:52 struggles to articulate your vision
0:19:54 maybe you don't have Clarity or maybe
0:19:56 you don't have the right Clarity to
0:19:58 convey to your team what this vision is
0:20:00 about and you can't align them together
0:20:02 right and you can't have them United and
0:20:04 this may be demotivates them and
0:20:06 demotivates you
0:20:08 and maybe you feel deeply concerned
0:20:10 about all of this confusion right and
0:20:12 you might think you know I I may have a
0:20:15 good Vision but I don't have the right
0:20:16 strategy and you're confused and you're
0:20:18 thinking I'm maybe I'm letting my team
0:20:20 down maybe I'm letting Humanity down and
0:20:23 worse maybe you're letting Allah
0:20:27 now you may feel that your vision is
0:20:29 fine your strategy is fine but there
0:20:31 seems to be a sense of a lack of Barca
0:20:34 you feel like you're swimming in treacle
0:20:36 from the from London all the way to New
0:20:39 York right you're thinking why is it so
0:20:41 hard what's going on here yes you're
0:20:43 going to get tests and trials actually
0:20:44 having tests and trousers is actually a
0:20:46 sign of success right but you're feeling
0:20:49 something you have a hunch something's
0:20:51 not going right you know people are
0:20:53 coming and going I've got a problem with
0:20:55 retention I've got problem with you know
0:20:58 following following exactly what Allah
0:21:00 wants for me I may be doing well in this
0:21:03 particular focused area of my work and
0:21:05 hour by in the grand Cosmic scheme of
0:21:07 things and they'd be pushing the
0:21:09 boundaries in the wrong way
0:21:11 you know and and you have this sense of
0:21:13 you know I I feel something is wrong and
0:21:17 you feel that your approach and your
0:21:19 principles are not islamically grounded
0:21:20 maybe you have Team meetings and there's
0:21:22 no reminders of Allah
0:21:24 maybe you have volunteer meetings and no
0:21:27 one reminds you about Allah there's a
0:21:29 spiritual vacuum there's a void you know
0:21:31 maybe you have arguments maybe it's all
0:21:32 about ego I'm the boss Listen to Me
0:21:34 Maybe people don't get along maybe
0:21:36 there's too much backbiting whatever the
0:21:38 case may be
0:21:39 if that happens then even if your vision
0:21:42 is fine and your strategy is fine you're
0:21:44 seeing so-called success I'm telling you
0:21:46 don't pat yourself on the back because
0:21:48 if you don't follow the right qualities
0:21:50 and principles from the Quran and Sunnah
0:21:52 then you the the great the great success
0:21:56 that you could have had is not
0:21:57 manifesting itself even though you think
0:21:59 you have a perceived uh form of success
0:22:02 because you're lacking in some important
0:22:04 issues some important things to do for
0:22:08 yourself and for others within the team
0:22:09 which is to internalize the Timeless
0:22:11 principles and qualities as derived from
0:22:13 the Quran and the Sunnah
0:22:15 so we're not going to do this in this
0:22:17 webinar but I just want to summarize to
0:22:18 you what these 14 principles and
0:22:20 qualities are that we're going to have
0:22:21 at this Retreat which is one of the
0:22:24 three key objectives so let me just
0:22:25 remind you in this Retreat The
0:22:27 Visionaries
0:22:29 successful down for 21st century we are
0:22:31 going to have three things right that we
0:22:33 want you to walk away with and it's all
0:22:35 timed and dedicated for you to achieve
0:22:38 this as an individual and as an
0:22:40 organization
0:22:41 and by the way we have people from
0:22:43 Australia come in from America from
0:22:46 Europe from if yes even Africa I believe
0:22:50 all around the world and we're talking
0:22:52 about high quality people and I was like
0:22:54 overwhelmed like subhanallah you know I
0:22:56 was feeling like
0:22:58 huge I'm still feeling a huge burden we
0:23:00 have mufti's imams dawah leaders people
0:23:04 who are managing many teams or a team
0:23:06 and I've just been overwhelmed and these
0:23:09 people came from different kind of
0:23:10 theological backgrounds as well
0:23:12 so there's an interesting sense of unity
0:23:14 here people want to understand what is a
0:23:17 vision and strategy and what are these
0:23:18 principles how must I be as a leader as
0:23:21 a diet how must I relate to people what
0:23:23 are the key qualities and prisons I must
0:23:25 have to optimize my dollar yes I may
0:23:27 have a certain level of success but how
0:23:29 can I take even further for the sake of
0:23:30 Allah
0:23:31 had the right Vision have the right
0:23:33 strategy and internalize the Timeless
0:23:35 principles and colleagues so what this
0:23:37 time this so yeah so what I do apologize
0:23:40 it's passion here right so there's three
0:23:42 objectives you're gonna have a vision
0:23:44 personally your team's gonna have a
0:23:46 vision you're going to have a strategy
0:23:48 to fulfill your personal Vision your
0:23:50 team and your organization is going to
0:23:51 have a strategy to fulfill your yeah the
0:23:54 the organization's vision and you're
0:23:56 going to understand the 14 principles
0:23:58 and qualities that are required in order
0:24:00 to execute your strategy and fulfill
0:24:02 your vision these are the three
0:24:03 objectives
0:24:05 we want every single one of you that
0:24:06 attend this Retreat to Come Away with
0:24:08 three things to repeat
0:24:10 personally yourself and your team
0:24:13 organization to have a vision
0:24:15 personally you and your team and
0:24:18 organization have a strategic focus a
0:24:19 strategy to fulfill your personal vision
0:24:21 and your organizational vision and you
0:24:25 personally and as a leader as someone
0:24:26 engaged in public work in the dollar as
0:24:28 an activist you're going to understand
0:24:30 the 14 key principles and qualities from
0:24:32 the Quran and the Sunnah that you
0:24:33 require in order to effectively execute
0:24:36 your strategy and fulfill your vision
0:24:38 one of these things as I said is going
0:24:40 to be the 14 principles and qualities
0:24:41 and we've named them as follows number
0:24:43 one a leader loved is a leader followed
0:24:46 so it's love what does that mean what's
0:24:48 the Islamic definition of love what do
0:24:50 we mean by love in the context of Dao
0:24:52 and activism number two the servant
0:24:55 leads the master concedes in other words
0:24:57 be at service to people
0:25:00 don't concede to your ego and your
0:25:02 haughtiness I'm the boss I'm not worthy
0:25:04 of this activity I'm too high no the
0:25:06 true leader is the one who's at service
0:25:07 and is generous and we'll unpack that
0:25:09 insha Allah number three when you become
0:25:12 you overcome be courageous one of the
0:25:15 neglected leadership qualities in the
0:25:17 ummah at the moment unfortunately when
0:25:19 you become you overcome meaning you need
0:25:22 to be in a state of being that allows
0:25:25 you to be courageous how do I develop
0:25:26 that what's courage with regards to the
0:25:29 Sunnah right what is courage with
0:25:31 regards to the Islamic perspective how
0:25:32 do I develop courage how do I become the
0:25:35 right person in order to be courageous
0:25:37 number four relevance is Excellence be a
0:25:40 person of wisdom of hikmah again is a
0:25:43 neglected way of being we think it's all
0:25:46 about abstract just narrations just this
0:25:48 and that no Allah makes it clear that
0:25:51 there is a distinction between Elm and
0:25:53 Hickman in actual fact wise judgment is
0:25:56 the application of right so applying
0:26:00 when you're in the in in activism in the
0:26:02 dawa you have to be able to apply it as
0:26:04 ifeom said it basically is to say the
0:26:07 right thing at the in the right way at
0:26:08 the right time to do the right thing in
0:26:10 the right way at the right time what are
0:26:12 the principles and the key questions we
0:26:14 have to ask ourselves concerning
0:26:15 becoming a person of wisdom what are the
0:26:17 benefits of hikmah what are the virtues
0:26:19 from the Sunnah and the Quran and so on
0:26:21 and so forth number six so number five
0:26:23 the enemy is the enemy in other words
0:26:26 have Community brothers and sisters we
0:26:28 know that the greatest enemy is shaitaan
0:26:31 shaytan he thought he he had this this
0:26:33 kibber this greatest form of arrogance
0:26:36 that made him leave the fold of Islam
0:26:39 and shaytan he's our greatest teacher
0:26:41 without regard he teaches us how not to
0:26:43 be not to have this ego in Kiba what is
0:26:46 the nature of the ego in Islam how do
0:26:48 you back to the ego why is the ego an
0:26:50 impediment to success in barakah and all
0:26:53 of these things this is going to be
0:26:54 unpacked in the retreat in sha Allah
0:26:56 number seven how you relate is what you
0:26:58 create in other words mentorship how you
0:27:01 communicate through your body language
0:27:02 through your utterances with people is
0:27:04 you're going to create
0:27:06 people you're going to create the
0:27:08 optimized version from them they may not
0:27:10 even see it you can unveil their blind
0:27:12 spots get them to become someone very
0:27:14 successful for the organization for the
0:27:16 sake of Allah for the sake of Allah in
0:27:19 order to fulfill the vision
0:27:20 and just by relating to them in a
0:27:22 particular way so you and this is known
0:27:25 in the Sunnah the way the person relate
0:27:27 to Julie beep the way the person related
0:27:29 to um the way the person related to the
0:27:32 sahaba he got the optimal versions of
0:27:35 them by the way he related with his body
0:27:37 language and with his utterances and he
0:27:39 mentored them number eight achievements
0:27:42 are Divine gifts we're going to teach
0:27:43 you what does gratitude actually truly
0:27:45 mean
0:27:46 you know in the Dallas times we like to
0:27:48 Pat ourselves on the back
0:27:49 when you have success in the dawah you
0:27:52 have to increase your it's the far you
0:27:54 have to increase your sugar to Allah
0:27:55 your gratitude to Allah you have to
0:27:59 understanding wasn't you it was Allah
0:28:02 you have to understand that you being
0:28:04 involved in this is just an immense
0:28:06 favor and a gift if Allah says I think
0:28:08 in chapter 49 verse 7 or 17 that
0:28:11 responding to the Arabs when they said
0:28:13 Iman is a favor to the prophet sallam
0:28:15 and Allah says no say to them Iman is a
0:28:18 favor to you from Allah so if Iman
0:28:21 itself is a gift what about calling
0:28:23 people to Iman
0:28:24 these are all gifts and all of the
0:28:27 successes have nothing to do with us we
0:28:28 can't have this sense of our job that it
0:28:30 was me I have the intrinsic ability no
0:28:31 Allah created you Allah allowed this to
0:28:35 happen everything happens because the
0:28:36 Wilderness of Allah so how should you
0:28:39 respond to successes and that is
0:28:40 extremely important especially in the
0:28:42 context of having Baraka in our dawa
0:28:45 number nine you're yearning for learning
0:28:47 meaning growth intellectual growth
0:28:49 Islamic growth what does knowledge
0:28:51 actually mean is there a difference
0:28:53 between knowing and knowing yes there is
0:28:55 a difference between knowing and knowing
0:28:57 meaning from a secular perspective I'm
0:28:59 getting all of this information but true
0:29:01 is knowledge that actually changes your
0:29:04 way of being increases your taqwa it
0:29:07 increases your humility it actually
0:29:09 changes who you are as a person and
0:29:13 that's why something there is a gap
0:29:14 between knowledge and an abstract sense
0:29:16 and true knowing meaning becoming and
0:29:20 this is very important especially for
0:29:21 leaders and people involved in activism
0:29:23 because sometimes we like to throw a
0:29:24 Hadith here and there but we don't
0:29:25 become that Hadith we may know all of
0:29:27 the ayats on on the rahma on compassion
0:29:30 all of the Hadith on compassion all of
0:29:32 the Hadith
0:29:34 and so on and so forth but we may never
0:29:37 be people of endow we may never be
0:29:38 people of rahma because we just know in
0:29:40 an abstract sense how do we bridge that
0:29:42 gap between knowing and truly knowing
0:29:44 number 10 Amity not enmity in other
0:29:48 words Unity what does unity actually
0:29:50 mean does it mean everyone conforms no
0:29:53 what does unity mean in the context of
0:29:55 the doubt how do we establish the unity
0:29:57 how do we deal with valid and even even
0:30:00 differences that are not valid what
0:30:02 approach should we take this is
0:30:03 extremely important in a dire context
0:30:06 number 11 based on the Quran by time man
0:30:09 is a state of loss okay
0:30:12 this is about being time conscious how
0:30:15 do you be time conscious what is the
0:30:16 importance of time and so on and so
0:30:18 forth in an activism and dial context
0:30:20 number 12 for those who use their minds
0:30:23 yeah yeah
0:30:26 your intellect people of the al-bar
0:30:29 those people of insight you know
0:30:32 people who reflect
0:30:34 those who Ponder and also ask questions
0:30:40 this is all about thinking how can you
0:30:43 think properly
0:30:44 are you just going to rely on yourself
0:30:46 part of thinking is having good people
0:30:48 around you to unveil those intellectual
0:30:50 blind spots for you right that also
0:30:52 requires you to be humble you need to
0:30:54 understand what thinking actually means
0:30:55 what is the true quranic prophetic way
0:30:57 of thinking how do you think from a
0:31:00 holistic global vision perspective uh in
0:31:04 the context of the doubt are you do you
0:31:06 just have Shadow organizational thinking
0:31:08 no because remember the true di the one
0:31:11 who has vision and wants success for the
0:31:13 doubt for the sake of Allah he
0:31:15 understands organizations uh they don't
0:31:18 have Primacy they're vehicles for a
0:31:20 particular Vision the vision is supreme
0:31:23 it's Vision Supremacy not organizational
0:31:26 Primacy and this is very important and
0:31:28 we'll we'll unpack many other aspects
0:31:30 kind of concerning thinking number 13
0:31:32 tenacity
0:31:34 timidity in other words don't be timid
0:31:36 be tenacious be resilient there's going
0:31:39 to be obstacles there's going to be
0:31:41 fitna there's going to be humiliation
0:31:43 there's going to be all of these things
0:31:45 from an internal external spiritual
0:31:47 physical point of view intellectual
0:31:49 point of view how are you going to deal
0:31:50 with this what are the principles and
0:31:52 the spiritual tools in the Quran to
0:31:53 actually become resilient brothers and
0:31:55 sisters this is extremely important and
0:31:57 number in the last one 14 according to
0:31:59 have is to be Visionary Allah Allah is
0:32:03 great and what does that mean truly in
0:32:05 the context of having a vision so we're
0:32:06 going to unpack all of these things
0:32:07 inshallah now I do believe I've just
0:32:09 been going on for too long but here's
0:32:11 something important
0:32:13 let's now start with the concept of
0:32:15 success so we're not going to give you
0:32:17 all of the content it's impossible
0:32:18 because like four days worth of content
0:32:19 and stuff and but by the way before I
0:32:22 get into that just to Remember The
0:32:24 Retreat is going to be an amazing
0:32:25 spiritual experience so we'll be away
0:32:27 from around five in the morning going to
0:32:28 bed like 10 30 11 at night five in the
0:32:30 morning
0:32:31 then after we're gonna have Fajr then
0:32:34 we're gonna have Quran circles then
0:32:36 we're going to have some sports then
0:32:38 we're going to have Brotherhood
0:32:39 exercises team building exercises then
0:32:42 we're going to have the sessions and a
0:32:43 lot of the sessions are going to be
0:32:44 predominantly getting you to understand
0:32:46 certain key principles and Concepts
0:32:47 about Vision successful and certain
0:32:49 perspective and the principles of
0:32:51 qualities of how to be how to ensure the
0:32:53 success of your Tower and we're going to
0:32:55 get a lot of that in practice meaning
0:32:58 we're going to get you to spend like one
0:33:00 two three hours just focusing on a
0:33:03 particular Point like your vision and
0:33:05 then coming back and presenting it to
0:33:07 the team and everyone together is going
0:33:09 to get the best out of you it's going to
0:33:11 be phenomenal inshaallah yeah so the
0:33:13 three objectives that we're saying is
0:33:14 going to happen inshallah you're going
0:33:15 to have a vision personally an
0:33:16 organizationally a strategy personally
0:33:18 an organizationally and you can
0:33:20 understand the principles of qualities
0:33:21 that you have to imbibe internalize in
0:33:24 order to be successful inshallah so
0:33:26 success
0:33:28 so in the retreat we're going to be
0:33:30 talking about success right
0:33:32 and we have to understand and frame
0:33:35 having a vision and a strategy frame the
0:33:37 whole dollar
0:33:39 in the context of the Islamic definition
0:33:41 of success
0:33:42 now obviously we can't go too in depth
0:33:45 into this but generally speaking as you
0:33:46 know success can be summarized by
0:33:49 chapter 3 verse 185 in the Quran when
0:33:51 Allah says every soul is going to taste
0:33:55 death and you will be paid in full on
0:33:57 the day of Resurrection whoever is kept
0:33:59 away from the fire and admitted to the
0:34:02 god that would have triumphed would have
0:34:04 been would have been successful the
0:34:07 present world is only an illusory
0:34:08 pleasure also Allah says chapter 23
0:34:11 verse one or two those whose Good Deeds
0:34:13 weigh heavy will be successful
0:34:16 and the famous Hadith Muslim
0:34:21 the person is making a distinction
0:34:23 between success and material blessings
0:34:24 because true success is the one who goes
0:34:26 to Janina and we know this famous Hadith
0:34:28 and has been Malik reported that the
0:34:31 message of Allah
0:34:33 said that the one amongst the denizens
0:34:36 of jahannam who had a life of ease and
0:34:39 plenty amongst the people of the world
0:34:42 would be made to dip in fire only once
0:34:45 on the day of Resurrection then it will
0:34:47 be said to him o son of Adam did you
0:34:50 find any comfort and listen to this did
0:34:52 you happen to get any material blessing
0:34:55 and he would say wallahi by Allah know
0:34:57 my Lord right so what this says to us is
0:35:01 saying very clear having
0:35:04 physical manifestations of success is
0:35:07 not true success true success is the one
0:35:09 who enters gender is enveloped by the
0:35:11 mercy of Allah and there are some things
0:35:13 that make us eligible for this success
0:35:15 yes it's only because of the mercy of
0:35:17 Allah but there are some indicators and
0:35:19 that is following surrendering to Allah
0:35:21 following the right Vision in line with
0:35:23 the quranic approach following the right
0:35:25 strategy in line with this approach of
0:35:27 the Sunnah following the right
0:35:28 principles and having the right
0:35:30 qualities
0:35:31 to emulate the person because that's
0:35:33 that's a manifestation of our obedience
0:35:35 to Allah and we understand he is the
0:35:37 greatest character the greatest leader
0:35:39 the greatest so we should emulate him in
0:35:42 order to have true success so if we want
0:35:44 that success which is Jannah we want
0:35:47 general for those the highest form of
0:35:49 Jannah
0:35:50 then there are some things that we have
0:35:52 to do it's not just hey I got all these
0:35:55 numbers I go to this stuff no it's fine
0:35:56 that's shallow this phone is far more
0:35:59 than that it's the approach you take
0:36:01 it's the principles you apply it's the
0:36:03 intention that you have and it's
0:36:05 actually the method of developing a
0:36:07 business strategy and creating the right
0:36:11 Personnel the right character for
0:36:13 yourself based on the principles and
0:36:15 qualities uh from the Quran and the
0:36:17 Sunnah that inshallah will give us
0:36:19 success so since we have a kind of brief
0:36:22 understanding of success and this is
0:36:23 obviously the summary form
0:36:25 let's not talk about a vision what is a
0:36:28 vision not generally speaking brothers
0:36:29 and sisters that there's not one agreed
0:36:31 upon definition of a vision a vision is
0:36:34 an articulation of a powerful achievable
0:36:36 and motivating stretch goal so one
0:36:40 expert in the field one academic he
0:36:43 actually defines it in that way an
0:36:45 articulation of a powerful achievable
0:36:47 motivating stretch goal others say that
0:36:50 it's not a just cause uh others say it's
0:36:54 where you want to see the world but from
0:36:55 a quranic point of view it it's really
0:36:58 based on answering three questions
0:36:59 number one what is your state in the
0:37:03 akhra
0:37:04 what is your state in this world like
0:37:07 who are you what's your personal Vision
0:37:08 because sometimes in a kind of captured
0:37:10 secular context you think about where is
0:37:12 the organization
0:37:13 and we forget that an organization is
0:37:15 based on individuals if individuals
0:37:16 don't have their own personal Vision yes
0:37:18 they may have the organizational Vision
0:37:20 but if it's not tied to the personal
0:37:22 Vision you're not going to get true
0:37:23 success
0:37:24 or you won't be optimized so what is
0:37:26 your state personal state in the world
0:37:28 and
0:37:30 what is the state of the world so three
0:37:32 questions what is your state in the
0:37:34 akhara what is the state of the world
0:37:36 and what is your state in the world in
0:37:38 other words where am I going to be in
0:37:40 Agra
0:37:42 where do I want to see the world where
0:37:44 do I want to see myself in where I want
0:37:47 to see the world and there's a quranic
0:37:49 example by the way we're going to unpack
0:37:50 this much further in the retreat but one
0:37:52 example is quite powerful chapter 38
0:37:55 verse 35
0:37:57 this is from Suleiman
0:38:00 he said my Lord forgive me and give me a
0:38:05 kingdom the like of which will never be
0:38:08 granted to anyone after me truly you are
0:38:10 ever giving Allahu Akbar just unpack the
0:38:14 multi-day depth of just this verse
0:38:16 so the first question was what is your
0:38:18 state in the akhara well what is what is
0:38:22 saying he wants Jannah my Rob my Lord
0:38:26 forgive me forgiveness is a means to
0:38:29 Allah's mercies and means to Jannah so
0:38:31 that's his vision he wants to be in in
0:38:33 Jannah
0:38:34 what is the state of the world look at
0:38:37 this Vision give me a kingdom like which
0:38:39 never been granted to anyone
0:38:42 before or after me right it's never been
0:38:45 granted to anyone out anyone after me so
0:38:47 he was the greatest Kingdom what does
0:38:49 this mean as an as a prophet overseas is
0:38:52 going to be based on Islam on tawheed
0:38:54 it's going to have the most optimal
0:38:56 Kingdom right so look at that Vision
0:38:59 give me a kingdom the best ever Kingdom
0:39:04 now no one before after me is ever going
0:39:05 to achieve
0:39:07 so what is the state of the world a
0:39:09 great Pious Kingdom
0:39:11 third question what is your state in the
0:39:14 world and we know this is implied by
0:39:16 virtue of the fact that he's a Prophet
0:39:18 by virtue of the fact that he was a king
0:39:20 by virtue of the fact of who he was he
0:39:22 was a righteous King so look at that
0:39:24 Vision it answers those three main
0:39:26 questions from a quranic vision point of
0:39:27 view what is your state in the what is
0:39:31 your state in the world and what is the
0:39:33 state of the world
0:39:34 where are you going to be in the akhara
0:39:38 where do you want the world to be and
0:39:40 where do you want to be in achieving
0:39:43 where you want the world to be these are
0:39:45 very key questions from the point of
0:39:47 view of trying to formulate your vision
0:39:50 so let's just break this up again where
0:39:53 do you want yourself in the akhara so of
0:39:55 course I want to be in Jannah right and
0:39:58 this by the way is the link between the
0:39:59 Islamic concept of success and having a
0:40:01 vision I want to be in general where do
0:40:04 you want the world what do you want the
0:40:05 world to look like for example you may
0:40:07 say I want to see a world led by Islam
0:40:10 where do you see yourself in order to
0:40:12 achieve the above I want to be led by
0:40:14 Islam and to be able to lead with
0:40:16 Islamic principles so now we're starting
0:40:18 to formulate a phenomenal Vision here
0:40:20 right
0:40:21 so these are the very three important
0:40:23 questions grounded in the Quran in order
0:40:25 to develop your vision
0:40:27 now there are three key political Vision
0:40:29 brothers and sisters love certainty and
0:40:32 values it should be done for the sake of
0:40:34 Allah anything not done for the sake of
0:40:35 Allah is meaningless and it's ephemeral
0:40:37 okay and you should seek the best in
0:40:39 this life and the best in life to come
0:40:41 it should be based on certainty on Japan
0:40:42 it should be based on who Islamic
0:40:44 principles and the unwavering belief in
0:40:46 Allah his messenger and that with
0:40:49 Allah's help anything is possible in
0:40:51 other words
0:40:52 it should be based on values well not
0:40:54 Machiavellian we're not you uh
0:40:57 utilitarian Ephesus we don't focused on
0:41:00 a utilitarian ethical philosophy that's
0:41:03 just about you know our perceived
0:41:04 understanding of well-being and success
0:41:06 for the greatest number of people no
0:41:08 there are some things that even if he
0:41:10 may have some perceived success it's the
0:41:12 wrong thing to do and it will diminish
0:41:14 your body and you won't optimize the
0:41:16 dawa in this lifetime or in the
0:41:18 lifetimes after you because a true
0:41:20 vision is supposed to outlive your life
0:41:22 right
0:41:23 and that's why it's linked to the akhara
0:41:25 as well
0:41:26 so we have to be based on values in
0:41:29 other words
0:41:30 the principles and the qualities that
0:41:32 we've been talking about
0:41:33 now there are nine benefits of a vision
0:41:35 brothers and sisters number one it
0:41:37 provides focus and Direction because you
0:41:39 know where you're going you know where
0:41:40 you're going number two it gives you
0:41:42 Clarity because
0:41:44 because you decide to get there you have
0:41:47 decided that you want to focus on your
0:41:48 vision now so it gives you a sense of
0:41:50 clarity it gives you life because
0:41:52 hopefully it's linked to Islam to the
0:41:54 values that we just mentioned to the
0:41:55 three pillars of a vision that we just
0:41:57 mentioned is linked to the akara to the
0:41:58 pleasure of Allah and what does Allah
0:42:01 say Allah says respond to the call of
0:42:03 Allah and his Messenger to that which
0:42:04 gives you
0:42:05 life right life
0:42:08 real life a sense of Greater purpose
0:42:11 than just being just a normal human
0:42:13 being just fulfilling their Beast to
0:42:16 instincts you respond to the call of
0:42:18 Allah and his Messenger to that which
0:42:19 gives you life so it gives you a sense
0:42:21 of Greater meaning in life it removes
0:42:23 doubt because your vision is based on
0:42:25 certainty and interestingly said those
0:42:28 who are affected by those who are
0:42:30 affected by destructive doubts are those
0:42:32 who don't have a vision for their lives
0:42:34 the fifth point it saves times and
0:42:36 resources because it everything is
0:42:38 centered now around your vision and when
0:42:39 you have a strategic Focus it's even
0:42:41 more easier because you know exactly
0:42:43 what you need to do and what you need to
0:42:44 focus on in order to fulfill your vision
0:42:46 and all these other things you know
0:42:48 exactly what to say no to and exactly
0:42:50 what to say yes to number six it shapes
0:42:53 the environment because you see the end
0:42:54 goal I'm gonna go to this destination
0:42:56 right this is my end goal this is my
0:42:59 vision
0:43:00 and I have a personal Vision that is
0:43:02 linked to this Vision as well especially
0:43:04 if we're talking in an organizational
0:43:05 context
0:43:06 so I'm going to shape my environment in
0:43:09 order to facilitate that why would I
0:43:11 have people around me and things around
0:43:12 me that's going to be obstacles to my
0:43:14 vision
0:43:16 number seven it provides motivation
0:43:18 because you see the end goal you are
0:43:20 motivated brothers and sisters and every
0:43:21 time you remind yourself of the vision
0:43:23 generally from those you remind yourself
0:43:25 of a world led by Islam you being led by
0:43:27 Islamic principles and and so on and so
0:43:30 forth that gives you a sense of
0:43:31 motivation because it's linked to the
0:43:32 it's linked to something meaningful and
0:43:35 also it's linked to the pleasure of
0:43:36 Allah
0:43:37 number eight it prioritizes your life
0:43:40 because your vision is bigger right it's
0:43:42 a big it's the bigger picture you're not
0:43:44 Petty anymore because you always ask the
0:43:46 question if you have a true vision and a
0:43:48 good strategy you're going to ask the
0:43:49 question what does Allah want from me in
0:43:51 this particular context you'd ask that
0:43:53 question every day
0:43:54 you won't be Petty anymore ah he said
0:43:56 this about me so I have to defend myself
0:43:58 no there are bigger things to do if you
0:44:00 have a great big gin these things become
0:44:03 unnecessary they become de-prioritized
0:44:06 you've forgive and Overlook very easily
0:44:08 I'm telling you it shapes your whole
0:44:10 life it prioritizes the the the things
0:44:13 of higher value and de-prioritizes
0:44:15 things of lesser value
0:44:17 number nine it gives you a framework for
0:44:19 decision making because if your life and
0:44:21 your organization and your work is
0:44:23 aligned around your vision then it's a
0:44:25 framework for decision making especially
0:44:27 if you have a specific strategy that
0:44:28 links necessarily to filling that Vision
0:44:30 then you know exactly what to say yes to
0:44:32 and to and on what to say you know to
0:44:36 and what we're going to be talking about
0:44:37 in The Retreat brothers and sisters is
0:44:40 greater think big aim higher aim high
0:44:44 because your profit is the best human
0:44:45 being to unlock this planet aim high
0:44:47 because it's the best ummah for mankind
0:44:50 aim high because the best Deen chosen by
0:44:53 Allah
0:44:54 and aim high because Allah links to
0:44:57 lofty goals with a successful arcade and
0:45:00 remember what success is
0:45:03 and the vision has to be tied to this
0:45:05 success so we have to have lofty goals
0:45:07 if we don't we won't achieve that
0:45:08 success as Allah says in the Quran in
0:45:10 Chapter 2 verses 200 and 201 those are
0:45:13 there are those among mankind who say
0:45:15 our Lord give us of this world and they
0:45:18 have no portion in the Hereafter in
0:45:20 other words they're not going to be
0:45:21 successful and there are those who say
0:45:23 our Lord give us good of this world and
0:45:25 of the Hereafter and it's those people
0:45:27 brothers and sisters that are gonna have
0:45:28 success and think about it this is part
0:45:30 of the Sunnah the prophet saw Allah
0:45:35 and Ahmed I believe the person said if
0:45:37 you're gonna ask for Jannah ask him
0:45:39 specifically for the highest form of
0:45:41 gender in other words
0:45:43 the person said ask for those for it's
0:45:45 the highest level of paradise and what
0:45:48 we're going to do in the retreat is
0:45:49 unpack the prophetic Vision because
0:45:50 people don't really realize they think
0:45:52 yeah the person the person had a vision
0:45:54 the vision was Islam in every home yes
0:45:56 that's true but you know he had a
0:45:58 personal vision for himself as well are
0:46:00 you aware of the personal vision
0:46:03 this is very interesting and this is
0:46:04 going to unpack and that's why you need
0:46:05 to formulate from the ground up vision
0:46:09 and strategy it's not as good adopting
0:46:11 kind of secular models and sprinting
0:46:12 some Islam on it don't get me wrong
0:46:14 there are overlaps and there are
0:46:15 universals for sure but it's very I'm
0:46:17 reading this question to motivate you to
0:46:18 to seek more and for you obviously to
0:46:20 come to the retreat I'm not going to
0:46:21 hide that I'm going to be authentic with
0:46:23 you I'm not gonna have Undeclared
0:46:25 intentions here
0:46:26 so that's a summary of a vision what
0:46:28 about strategy in other words necessity
0:46:31 achieves when you think about a strategy
0:46:33 you have to think of
0:46:34 think of what are the necessary actions
0:46:36 actual domains of action or domains of
0:46:39 work that will necessarily lead to my
0:46:42 vision becoming a reality and how how am
0:46:44 I ever going to know that this is very
0:46:46 important sometimes sometimes we
0:46:48 secularize how we secularize our
0:46:52 strategies because we think what I know
0:46:54 a is going to V to B because I see that
0:46:57 in the Dunya but there are some things
0:46:59 that we have to understand the things
0:47:01 that we have to understand is there are
0:47:02 other metaphysical and spiritual
0:47:04 Dimensions that we're not even aware of
0:47:06 right
0:47:08 and we know this is the proof in the
0:47:10 sumna you know what do we say we're
0:47:11 supposed to say in the mornings and the
0:47:12 evenings about our health right about
0:47:15 our conviction we could say I could be
0:47:16 convicted because I see people when they
0:47:18 read more about you know theological
0:47:19 aspects and the convinced with certain
0:47:21 you know abstract facts they get
0:47:23 convinced one plus was equal to two no
0:47:25 but we know there's there's a different
0:47:27 Dynamic going on here we know the the
0:47:29 waivers and the function of the calipers
0:47:32 the intellect may be functioning well
0:47:35 but if it's in the context of the pulp
0:47:36 and the kalab is disease it has
0:47:38 arrogance and so on and so forth the
0:47:40 aqua won't function properly so it's not
0:47:42 just abstract intellectual thinking so
0:47:44 even when we think if we just look at
0:47:46 the Dunya right just from an empirical
0:47:48 perspective yeah if you want to have
0:47:49 knowledge and be convinced about
0:47:50 something you just observe it or you do
0:47:52 one plus one is you could do you do some
0:47:54 kind of deductive or logic or you do
0:47:57 some kind of uh rational inference no
0:47:59 problem but it doesn't work that way
0:48:00 because there are other
0:48:02 Dynamics and realities behind all of
0:48:04 this that would actually lead to certain
0:48:06 certain things that we want to
0:48:07 achievement when it comes to conviction
0:48:09 the prophet saw Allah
0:48:11 to make
0:48:13 to to be content with Allah as a
0:48:16 religion with with the Deen or to be
0:48:19 content with the Deen to be content with
0:48:22 the prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam as
0:48:24 the final Prophet you know there's a Dua
0:48:26 that we make
0:48:28 is
0:48:32 what do you think that Dua is uh is is
0:48:35 is is is is you know some kind of uh I
0:48:38 don't know empirical strategy no this is
0:48:40 this is the
0:48:46 now why am I mentioning this I'm
0:48:48 mentioning this because when we develop
0:48:50 strategies we miss out the Islamic
0:48:52 element we miss out the necessary
0:48:54 spiritual and and the necessary
0:48:57 metaphysical aspects don't get me wrong
0:49:00 yes Allah has shown signs in the
0:49:02 empirical world that we can follow there
0:49:04 are patterns of course but if you want
0:49:06 to optimize your dollar there's other
0:49:07 things to do as well
0:49:08 and this is very very important so how
0:49:10 are we going to know what the right
0:49:11 strategy is it's not just basically
0:49:13 saying yeah I saw this happen and this
0:49:14 happened therefore we're going to be
0:49:16 successful this is a shallow approach
0:49:17 it's not based on a ground up analysis
0:49:20 from the Quran and the Sunnah so this is
0:49:22 we're going to be unpacking in the
0:49:23 retreat inshallah so in nutshell a
0:49:26 strategy is the key actions or domains
0:49:29 of action that you follow that you know
0:49:31 that are necessarily going to lead to
0:49:32 your vision becoming a reality so you
0:49:34 have to ask yourself a question what are
0:49:36 the actions the activities the resources
0:49:38 the relationships the way of being that
0:49:41 you need in order to to achieve your
0:49:44 vision in order for the vision to become
0:49:45 a reality and we all we always talk
0:49:48 about this do show that consang
0:49:50 brainstorm look for best practice look
0:49:52 for patterns in the Dunya as well in the
0:49:54 empirical world for sure but bring that
0:49:56 all together look into the Quran and the
0:49:57 Sunnah with regards to certain
0:49:59 strategies there are some there we're
0:50:01 not Machiavellian we don't believe the
0:50:03 the ends justify the means there are
0:50:05 certain things that we have to follow in
0:50:07 order to have Baraka not maybe in this
0:50:08 life and in the life to come so there's
0:50:10 all these components that we have to
0:50:11 unpack and that will be done in the
0:50:13 retreat now what's the benefits of the
0:50:14 strategy Brothers this is the benefits
0:50:16 are quite simple Focus you could use
0:50:19 your resources wisely and place them at
0:50:21 the surface of your vision
0:50:23 uh you make decisions and decisions are
0:50:26 made easier because you know you now
0:50:27 know what needs to be done if I want a
0:50:29 world reconnected to Allah and my
0:50:32 strategic focus on developing duat to go
0:50:34 out there in the world to develop teams
0:50:36 and manage the dial and do the dial
0:50:37 themselves in order for the world to be
0:50:39 reconnected to Allah if someone comes to
0:50:41 me and says here's a million pounds and
0:50:43 can you please
0:50:45 um uh build Wills I'm already gonna say
0:50:48 no I would only accept it if I believe I
0:50:51 could use that money for that lesser
0:50:54 strategy if you like I don't mean lesson
0:50:56 that it's not worthy but less in the
0:50:57 context of my vision if it's gonna be
0:51:00 essential to achieving my vision because
0:51:02 sometimes you may have to do stuff like
0:51:04 that to actually remove certain barriers
0:51:06 in order for your main strategy to
0:51:08 actually manifest itself so it's deeper
0:51:10 than that but the point here that's very
0:51:11 important is that it makes decisions
0:51:13 easier like you know
0:51:16 devoid of any context I would say no I'm
0:51:18 not going to accept that money because
0:51:19 that's not part of our work what I'll
0:51:21 try and do now is convince that person
0:51:24 why they should adopt our vision and for
0:51:26 them to be in love with our vision and
0:51:28 in love with the strategy that we've
0:51:30 adopted so he could change or he could
0:51:32 change her mind in giving us that money
0:51:34 for something that we believe that is
0:51:35 very close to our hearts and that's
0:51:37 going to achieve true success right it
0:51:40 helps you plan because you know you now
0:51:41 know exactly what needs to be done also
0:51:44 the most important thing about the
0:51:45 benefits of a strategy it achieves your
0:51:47 vision now by the way there's nuances
0:51:49 here you have to sometimes revise your
0:51:51 strategy context changes and so on and
0:51:53 so forth the world changes so sometimes
0:51:55 you have to revise your strategy it's
0:51:57 not written in stone
0:52:00 foreign
0:52:02 we'll talk about like concerning you
0:52:05 know Allah is in control linking it to
0:52:07 the belief in Allah to Allah and so on
0:52:09 and so forth and we're going to go to
0:52:11 the prophetic example to give you
0:52:13 examples what the prophetic strategy was
0:52:15 was the only one strategy some people
0:52:16 say you know the prophet saw Allah
0:52:19 his Focus was on empowering the sahaba
0:52:22 and also giving doubt to influentials
0:52:24 because they they would have the
0:52:26 greatest impact yes one could argue
0:52:29 that's the case
0:52:30 but other any other strategies if there
0:52:32 are what are they if they're not why
0:52:34 aren't they these questions we have to
0:52:36 answer if we're really truly committed
0:52:38 to this work brothers and sisters we
0:52:40 have to develop a vision and a strategy
0:52:42 from the ground up and that Hickman that
0:52:45 Divine guidance inshallah would would
0:52:46 manifest itself
0:52:48 so we already spoke about the principles
0:52:50 brothers and sisters and the reason you
0:52:52 should follow the principles and
0:52:53 qualities we've already mentioned it but
0:52:55 you know let's focus on the two ayats
0:52:56 chapter 68 verse 4 telling the prophet
0:52:59 sallam and you are truly a man of
0:53:01 outstanding character the best character
0:53:04 the best leader so emulate him what what
0:53:07 are his principles and qualities you
0:53:09 know uh also in the Quran of verses in
0:53:11 chapter 24 verse 52 whoever obeys Allah
0:53:13 and his messenger stands in all of Allah
0:53:16 and keeps his duty to him will be
0:53:18 triumphant will be successful so obeying
0:53:20 the prophet salaam understanding that
0:53:22 he's the best character and leader
0:53:23 should be enough to me to understand if
0:53:25 I won't optimized our true quality true
0:53:29 success in this life and Hereafter for
0:53:32 the short-term media term and long term
0:53:34 I need to apply these principles because
0:53:36 I'm following the best character the
0:53:37 best leaders
0:53:39 obeying him and obeying him is a key to
0:53:43 being successful as per Quran 24 verse
0:53:46 52 and we're going to unpack these
0:53:48 brothers and sisters and I want you to
0:53:49 be aware because sometimes we have a
0:53:50 full sense of success we may be thinking
0:53:52 I'm doing all this this great success
0:53:53 from an organizational perspective but
0:53:56 we forget that the organization is part
0:53:57 of the wider hour and there's so many
0:54:00 things problems that are happening or or
0:54:02 or people that were losing in the dean
0:54:04 and we forget that will happen you know
0:54:07 maybe what I'm doing here I may be
0:54:09 successful from an organizational
0:54:11 perspective but from a global dial
0:54:13 perspective I'm actually not doing much
0:54:15 in the global grand scheme of things and
0:54:17 we have very now narrow focus and we tap
0:54:19 ourselves on the back because we have a
0:54:21 capital capitalist understanding of what
0:54:22 success really means and this is why we
0:54:24 have to be very careful that we have to
0:54:26 have Vision Supremacy here it's about
0:54:28 Agra it's about Allah right like I
0:54:31 manage sapiens Institute if I was
0:54:34 convinced that sapience Institute had to
0:54:36 stop in order for the dollar
0:54:39 holistically and go globally to be more
0:54:41 successful inshallah I would stop
0:54:43 sapiens Institute if
0:54:46 um and and so many other things so we
0:54:47 have to realize that it's about uh
0:54:50 Vision Supremacy not organizational
0:54:52 Supremacy
0:54:53 um and there's so much more to unpack
0:54:55 so Brothers and Sisters You Gotta come
0:54:58 like if you don't come there's something
0:55:00 wrong with you and by the way people
0:55:01 think oh you know you guys are making
0:55:03 money from this and no we're not
0:55:05 actually
0:55:06 so here's being very authentic and
0:55:08 transparently go to the website find out
0:55:10 how much it is to have uh a a double
0:55:13 room just check it out
0:55:14 the price margin is very minimal we this
0:55:18 is cost price what do you mean by cost
0:55:20 price it's not only the room it's full
0:55:21 board and it's also all the other
0:55:23 resources that we spent in order for
0:55:25 this to happen like we had to pay for
0:55:27 volunteers to come and pay for their
0:55:29 flights and so on and so forth and
0:55:31 printing of of stuff and all of the
0:55:34 other things that are necessary in order
0:55:35 for a retreat to happen and I'm telling
0:55:38 you this is the one you won't find
0:55:40 anything cheaper at this level no way no
0:55:43 way I actually got a call yesterday from
0:55:44 a Mufti I can't mention names but he
0:55:47 from America
0:55:48 um he mentioned this guy who's half of
0:55:50 the Quran very practicing he works for a
0:55:53 prestigious University and he's into
0:55:56 vision and strategy and so on and so
0:55:58 forth
0:55:58 they for people to you by the way top
0:56:02 companies I think the Blue Chip
0:56:03 companies to use that professor
0:56:06 they pay like three hundred thousand
0:56:08 dollars to the university
0:56:10 yeah I truly believe what we have is is
0:56:13 probably the best thing on the market
0:56:14 now I'm not I hope you're not saying
0:56:16 that of arrogance I'm saying this from
0:56:18 the point of view that why would we give
0:56:20 you something that we don't think is the
0:56:21 best
0:56:22 that would be very interesting City
0:56:24 thing to do
0:56:25 don't get me wrong definitely may have
0:56:27 to improve it in the future and so on
0:56:28 and so forth for sure I stand in that
0:56:30 possibility but I really believe that
0:56:32 we're going to offer to you from the
0:56:33 ground up development from the
0:56:35 quranasana principles qualities from the
0:56:37 quranasana that development of your
0:56:39 vision and strategy and who you must
0:56:41 become that is such a holistic strategy
0:56:43 that I truly believe is going to be
0:56:45 successful for the Tao insha Allah so
0:56:47 brothers and sisters it's been an hour
0:56:50 subhanallah
0:56:51 right talk to me questions
0:56:54 about the retreat
0:56:58 I I'm not going to answer questions
0:57:00 about dollar or anything like that
0:57:01 unfortunately it's very focused on the
0:57:04 retreat right now brother's assistant so
0:57:05 I know there's a lot of questions here
0:57:06 we are going to have a sapiens live in
0:57:09 the near future so you could ask
0:57:11 questions uh the lighthouse live is
0:57:12 going to be happening hopefully every
0:57:13 week it was supposed to happen today but
0:57:15 it's going to happen next week
0:57:16 Insha'Allah
0:57:18 um with brother Yusuf Ponder so you
0:57:19 could ask specific questions there but
0:57:21 for now it's about the retreat
0:57:23 foreign
0:57:25 we have here is it just for brothers yes
0:57:28 for the time being this first Retreat is
0:57:30 just for brothers
0:57:32 um
0:57:33 that's it that's the answer right any
0:57:35 other questions
0:57:39 okay
0:57:40 same similar question you say it's for
0:57:42 brothers and but is the event just for
0:57:44 brother the brother is just for brothers
0:57:45 isn't it yes but it's not relevant just
0:57:48 to Brothers it's relevant for everybody
0:57:49 who's involved in the Dao and sisters
0:57:51 are involved in the tower and there will
0:57:52 be future Retreats that would
0:57:53 accommodate everybody inshallah
0:57:56 foreign
0:58:03 we will record the sessions but for
0:58:06 marketing purposes we're not going to
0:58:07 record the sessions because we're going
0:58:09 to create this principle or we're going
0:58:10 to have an environment of Brotherhood of
0:58:12 inshallah humility of egolessness we're
0:58:14 gonna surrender our egos insha Allah and
0:58:17 we're going to be authentic with each
0:58:18 other we're not going to have Undeclared
0:58:20 intentions and we're going to engage
0:58:22 with us from a positivity and people are
0:58:23 going to be talking about their personal
0:58:24 Vision in the organizational vision and
0:58:26 that is not for the whole public you
0:58:27 know especially when it's in the process
0:58:29 of development so you know we're not
0:58:30 going to film these vulnerabilities for
0:58:32 you guys right because it's not the
0:58:33 right it's not adverb it's not the right
0:58:34 thing to do but we will film it
0:58:37 um for marketing persons to do a trailer
0:58:39 for inshallah the next year so hopefully
0:58:40 that helps
0:58:42 foreign
0:58:50 can you be accessible with online
0:58:52 payment yes it can we just go to The
0:58:54 Visionaries you see there's a scrolling
0:58:56 thing at the bottom the
0:58:58 visionaries.co.uk you can pay for a
0:59:01 shared room or room for yourself
0:59:03 obviously the prices are going to be
0:59:04 different and is accessible with an
0:59:06 online payment you can pay online
0:59:09 Insha'Allah
0:59:17 very good question
0:59:20 I think is Turkish
0:59:23 also people who don't have the skills do
0:59:25 have don't have read a lot of Islamic
0:59:27 knowledge outside of books and courses
0:59:29 and lectures I'm assuming is it
0:59:30 applicable for them absolutely
0:59:34 a concept in we're going to convey a
0:59:37 concept in the course called micro
0:59:38 Visions what is the concept of a
0:59:40 microvision and micro targets or targets
0:59:44 from an Islamic perspective
0:59:45 like for example the exercise that we're
0:59:47 going to be doing is we're going to go
0:59:48 through salihin to get micro targets and
0:59:51 micro Visions we're going to go by the
0:59:53 way we're going to go through through
0:59:54 the whole Quran obviously as a group so
0:59:57 everyone's going to have a juice we're
0:59:58 going to go through the whole Quran and
1:00:00 derive vision from that Jews Allahu
1:00:02 Akbar where has this happened before
1:00:05 maybe it has if he has told me I'll
1:00:07 congratulate them I'll support them I'll
1:00:08 promote them if you know me well enough
1:00:10 for my social media I promote good stuff
1:00:11 for free yeah no strings attached right
1:00:14 the point is where will you find this
1:00:17 this is one of the most amazing things
1:00:18 about this Retreat is from the ground up
1:00:20 from the Quran Sunnah principles up to
1:00:23 develop effective visions and strategies
1:00:25 and the principles and quotas that is
1:00:27 needed to elevate the download
1:00:28 foreign
1:00:35 it's super easy to book and it takes
1:00:37 less than five minutes absolutely this
1:00:39 is
1:00:42 a key part of the sapiens team
1:00:45 alhamdulillah is a volunteer spends a
1:00:48 lot of time and effort and his own money
1:00:50 for the dawah and he's actually booked
1:00:52 this himself to come as well may Allah
1:00:54 bless him and he when he booked it he
1:00:55 said I'm at your service this is the
1:00:57 kind of people that we meet need I don't
1:00:59 want to throw dust in his face it's just
1:01:00 for encouragement because he's an
1:01:02 amazing brother may Allah preserve him I
1:01:04 mean
1:01:06 okay
1:01:09 any other questions brothers and sisters
1:01:17 okay there's a question about well it's
1:01:19 not related so I'm going to answer it
1:01:20 this I'm going to need to stay focused
1:01:22 because we can't you know make this too
1:01:24 long
1:01:25 um let's take more questions about the
1:01:27 retreat brothers and sisters is there a
1:01:29 retreat uh look at this guy look at this
1:01:32 guy if I had to sleep in the house he's
1:01:33 one of the instructors coming along is
1:01:36 there a gym a retreat let me tell you
1:01:37 what kind of gym is going to be my
1:01:38 brother as you know it's going to be a
1:01:40 gym of tarabia waking up at five in the
1:01:42 morning doing to hajjud with the
1:01:43 brothers doing the Quran recycling the
1:01:46 Quran in Quran circles doing some sports
1:01:48 yes it's going to be intense with
1:01:50 regards to Vision strategy principle
1:01:52 spirituality Brotherhood exercises team
1:01:54 building exercises it's going to be from
1:01:55 five in the morning to around 11 at
1:01:57 night but yes there is a gym so there's
1:01:59 going to be a middle session maybe an
1:02:00 hour an hour and a half when we go to
1:02:02 the gym and mean you should go to the
1:02:03 gym inshallah
1:02:06 you've been working very hard for
1:02:08 sapiens in America sapiens all around
1:02:10 the world you're coming to Turkey in a
1:02:12 few days because you're going to be
1:02:13 doing courses alhamdulillah and actually
1:02:15 told Fahad I said Tim bro I need you for
1:02:17 all of the retreat because you can only
1:02:19 attend one day because the ticket was
1:02:20 originally for him filming some courses
1:02:22 for our learning platform very powerful
1:02:25 courses yeah
1:02:27 um and I said please bro extend it and
1:02:28 what does he do he extends it and he's
1:02:30 staying for the retreat alhamdul not an
1:02:32 easy thing for the retreat he's staying
1:02:34 for the four days after three days after
1:02:35 with some imams and and leaders from
1:02:37 Australia they want more specific help
1:02:39 with regards to their strategy and
1:02:41 organizational structure for the dial
1:02:42 for the sake of Allah he's even coming
1:02:44 to that as well so I'm not trying to
1:02:46 throw dust in his face just to show
1:02:47 Masha Allah this is my love listening
1:02:50 right any other questions
1:02:54 questions about the retreat
1:03:00 so you can tell about my energy I'm like
1:03:02 I I really truly believe in this you
1:03:04 know
1:03:05 because you know for us to have
1:03:07 successful dollar we need to have a
1:03:10 vision grounded in Islam and an
1:03:11 effective strategy and importantly we
1:03:13 have to have principles and qualities in
1:03:15 line with the quantities
1:03:17 and what I mean by Dao is not just
1:03:20 ourselves individually and our YouTube
1:03:22 channel or our organization I'll talk
1:03:24 about the Dao holistically because this
1:03:27 is how Muslims are this is an automatic
1:03:29 thing this is a global thing this is
1:03:31 Allah's pleasure right you can't have a
1:03:33 reductionist approach to this as I said
1:03:35 Vision Supremacy not organizational
1:03:38 Supremacy and that's one of the feelings
1:03:40 and the doubt at the moment as well
1:03:41 unfortunately but anyway
1:03:43 we need
1:03:44 uh that's what I'm really passionate
1:03:46 about this and and that this passion
1:03:48 makes me sometimes over emphasize repeat
1:03:50 and sometimes articulate myself in
1:03:53 bizarre ways so I do really apologize
1:03:55 but hopefully that's going to come
1:03:56 across in a positive way
1:03:59 yeah
1:04:00 right
1:04:02 any other questions on the retreat
1:04:04 itself brothers and sisters
1:04:06 um any questions on regards to the
1:04:08 retreat
1:04:16 no Allah
1:04:19 fig for onstring I will try and come
1:04:22 inshallah bless you bro may Allah
1:04:24 facilitate for you when I make it who's
1:04:26 successful
1:04:28 make it the best Retreat ever and I
1:04:30 think one of the beautiful things about
1:04:31 this Retreat is there is going to be a
1:04:33 really strong dedication
1:04:35 to being authentic and not having
1:04:38 Undeclared intentions because sometimes
1:04:40 you know say I'm going to give a speech
1:04:43 fine one of my intentions is I'm doing
1:04:45 this for the sake of Allah inshallah and
1:04:47 I want it to be an effective speech for
1:04:49 the sake of Allah for it to have an
1:04:50 impact but there are other Undeclared
1:04:52 intentions there is a sense of
1:04:53 inauthenticity about me I'll be like I
1:04:55 want to look good you know I want to
1:04:58 sound good I want to articulate myself
1:05:00 eloquently because I want to look good
1:05:02 right I want to be right so I want to
1:05:04 make sure that I'm saying the right
1:05:06 things all the time if I step up I'm
1:05:07 going to get frustrated
1:05:10 um I I want to please the Messiah in the
1:05:12 front row
1:05:13 we want to try and because this really
1:05:15 is the most important thing in a way
1:05:17 because it's the psychology of of of of
1:05:20 surrendering that ego those Undeclared
1:05:23 intentions in order for all of the
1:05:24 principles and the transformative
1:05:26 experience to to be embedded in your
1:05:29 heart so it changes your whole doubt and
1:05:32 so we want to reframe it so the first
1:05:34 session is going to be really dedicated
1:05:35 on that Friday dedicate to having the
1:05:38 right mindset the right heart set in
1:05:40 order for us to um
1:05:42 um yeah to be authentic and I think
1:05:45 that's so important you know because
1:05:46 there's so many people coming I'm so
1:05:48 surprised I was to to the point I would
1:05:51 even argue I was overwhelmed to be to be
1:05:53 honest and I was speaking to Chef hey
1:05:54 them about this and he was trying to
1:05:55 like you know reassure me but I'm like
1:05:57 it's a massive responsibility obviously
1:05:59 everyone knows this but I was slightly
1:06:01 overwhelmed and maybe a bit emotional
1:06:02 the past few days I was thinking you got
1:06:04 people running organizations coming
1:06:06 people doing great success without
1:06:08 people who far more knowledgeable than
1:06:11 me know much more Quran and definitely
1:06:14 much better Ted read than me and people
1:06:16 who uh
1:06:18 have you know one would argue great to
1:06:21 relative success than me people who
1:06:24 um have more the more grounded in
1:06:27 Islamic tradition than me uh people who
1:06:29 have have great successes in leadership
1:06:31 in dawa and I'm thinking wow this is
1:06:34 amazing this is Allah putting things
1:06:36 together well it's amazing you know uh
1:06:38 and so yeah at Queen wanted to say
1:06:40 earlier I'm getting confused now is we
1:06:43 want to facilitate event where we get
1:06:45 the best out of you and make you realize
1:06:48 that you already had it inside you
1:06:49 anyway so we're not really teaching you
1:06:51 anything from that perspective we're
1:06:53 just facilitating a way of being and
1:06:56 giving you certain principles in order
1:06:58 to understand a vision and strategy and
1:07:00 qualities and principles from the Quran
1:07:02 Sunnah but a lot of it is facilitating
1:07:04 an event in order to get the best out of
1:07:06 you so we're going to be facilities
1:07:08 we're not necessarily like enemy
1:07:10 instructors no because this is a
1:07:12 transformative Retreat we want people to
1:07:14 come out with a personal Vision
1:07:15 organizational Vision personal strategy
1:07:17 organizational strategy and to
1:07:19 understand the principles and qualities
1:07:21 they need in order to be successful for
1:07:23 these things that requires a
1:07:25 transformation it's a different Capital
1:07:26 fish it's not the same in an election
1:07:28 just reading some facts who would
1:07:30 respect you could do that online it's
1:07:32 totally different and the whole Retreat
1:07:34 is structured that way brothers and
1:07:35 sisters inshallah
1:07:39 you looks like tired yeah I am tired
1:07:41 actually well I'm not tired at the
1:07:43 moment I quite feel quite energetic but
1:07:45 in general it's been a it was a crazy
1:07:47 September and it's going to be a crazy
1:07:49 October alhamdulillah
1:07:52 who's working very hard for say prince
1:07:54 in the background with the filming and
1:07:56 the courses and also uh you know
1:07:58 organizing this Retreat he mentions
1:08:00 something on the WhatsApp group he said
1:08:03 um
1:08:04 uh working iron doesn't rust something
1:08:07 like that so if you you know keep on
1:08:08 you're not going to get rusty you need
1:08:10 to keep the momentum you know and this
1:08:12 Echoes the statement of Imam Shafi when
1:08:13 he says about you know running being
1:08:15 like running a running stream you know
1:08:17 you've never running stream doesn't get
1:08:19 stagnant and it actually produces
1:08:21 vegetation and stuff it gives life from
1:08:22 that perspective which Echoes Bruce
1:08:25 Lee's statement yeah it'd be like water
1:08:26 my friend right but Imam Shafi Allah
1:08:29 said it ages ago way before him
1:08:32 uh okay so where are we
1:08:39 okay uh what time does it start the
1:08:42 first date the registration if I
1:08:45 remember correctly is going to be around
1:08:47 2 p.m right but that information is
1:08:50 going to be a bit about the website
1:08:51 shortly and that's on the Friday uh the
1:08:55 first session is going to be towards the
1:08:57 evening so the latest you can be there
1:08:59 is I would say afternoon maybe late
1:09:01 afternoon but that those details are
1:09:04 going to be forthcoming on the website
1:09:07 um and uh yeah so yes excellent so
1:09:12 um
1:09:14 says it starts at 8pm Friday the 21st of
1:09:18 October so registration from 2PM to 6
1:09:20 p.m she knows because sometimes she's
1:09:22 been part of The Branding team
1:09:23 phenomenal I mean I've been praising
1:09:25 lots of Brothers now and I don't want to
1:09:27 praise people for dust in the face but
1:09:29 her company is probably the best
1:09:30 marketing branding company I've ever
1:09:32 dealt with it is like a full-on-blown
1:09:34 psychoanalysis of the people that we
1:09:35 want to attract and I have not
1:09:37 experienced after this before I think my
1:09:39 PhD proposal was much more difficult it
1:09:41 was much easier yeah and the way they
1:09:43 manifested everything on the website is
1:09:45 I wouldn't change anything really is
1:09:47 this fantastic and The Branding and the
1:09:49 narratives I'm telling you and the
1:09:51 professionalism uh there's no conflict
1:09:54 here by the way yeah you know they're a
1:09:56 company that was working for this and
1:09:58 I'm telling you unbelievable
1:10:00 unbelievable company so check them out
1:10:01 please I think they could salaam media
1:10:04 all right so any other questions
1:10:06 brothers and sisters
1:10:12 I'll give you 10 more minutes then we'll
1:10:13 close inshallah
1:10:24 so just remind everyone before you start
1:10:26 formulating your questions that this
1:10:28 Retreat is going to have three main
1:10:30 objectives we want you to from the
1:10:32 ground up from the Quran Sunnah and
1:10:36 the
1:10:37 highest predecessors classical normative
1:10:40 Islam methodology
1:10:42 based on these Timeless values that from
1:10:43 the ground up you're going to develop a
1:10:45 vision and a strategy
1:10:46 you need to develop a vision for your
1:10:48 personal life for your organization your
1:10:49 dollar team you're going to have a
1:10:52 strategy that necessary links to the
1:10:54 performance of that Vision your personal
1:10:56 vision and your organizational vision
1:10:57 and they're going to be linked as well
1:10:59 and you can understand 14 key principles
1:11:02 of colleagues from the quranism in order
1:11:03 to lead effectively nadawa and who you
1:11:06 must become in order to have the button
1:11:07 like success and to optimize the Dow
1:11:10 brothers and sisters and this is very
1:11:13 much needed okay so this is these are
1:11:16 the main objectives so if you're you
1:11:18 know there is a group of imams in
1:11:21 in America I had to call them yesterday
1:11:24 they were like you know we need to
1:11:25 refine our vision we need to find our
1:11:26 strategy uh you know do you suggest that
1:11:29 we come to this and look that's the
1:11:30 objective of the event that you would
1:11:32 end the event with a vision and a
1:11:34 strategy at least a workable vision and
1:11:36 a strategy in order for you to be
1:11:38 successful in the dollar right and we're
1:11:41 going to unpack so many other things
1:11:42 behind all of that you know some things
1:11:45 that we just summarized in this webinar
1:11:46 you know the key questions we have to
1:11:48 ask the key sources that we have to go
1:11:50 to Surah brainstorming Quran Sunnah
1:11:53 principles values asking the right
1:11:55 questions thinking outside the box
1:11:56 having a vision Supremacy perspective
1:11:58 not just a organizational Supremacy and
1:12:01 so on and so forth and it's going to be
1:12:03 it's gonna be a lot of conversations and
1:12:04 there's gonna be friction but positive
1:12:06 friction you know friction whereas I
1:12:08 don't agree with that what do you mean
1:12:09 by that and then we go into the cinema
1:12:11 we're going to the Quran we have these
1:12:12 discussions we get the best out of each
1:12:14 other in order to rate them to to make
1:12:16 the right decisions for the sake of
1:12:17 Allah
1:12:18 let's see
1:12:22 okay
1:12:31 anything else but uh any other questions
1:12:34 brothers and sisters uh there's one
1:12:36 question here no chance to participate
1:12:38 online no because like with many things
1:12:40 the transformative experience and
1:12:42 transformative experience is fair has to
1:12:44 be face to face and it has to be in that
1:12:45 environment right
1:12:47 um and you know for example I could
1:12:48 describe to you Michelangelo's painting
1:12:51 I think is in a chapel or something yeah
1:12:53 and that could describe to you how the
1:12:54 pain looks and how amazing it is or how
1:12:56 should a key is whatever right
1:12:59 um and but my descriptions are not going
1:13:01 to be enough you have to be there you
1:13:02 have to visit there right likewise you
1:13:04 know I could describe to you my mother's
1:13:06 cooking you know she makes a great dish
1:13:08 which is one of the best kind of uh
1:13:10 Greek uh
1:13:12 um sweet dishes amazing I can have 10 of
1:13:14 them yeah easy I would be regretful but
1:13:17 I can I can have them right now I can
1:13:19 tell you exactly how she makes it but
1:13:22 it's not gonna be the same you have to
1:13:23 come to my mom's house and taste it
1:13:24 there's a different Dynamic like so by
1:13:27 greater reason it's the same with these
1:13:28 kind of transformative things
1:13:30 and we see this in the dial it's
1:13:31 actually a really good question I'll
1:13:32 tell you what
1:13:36 we deal with Lighthouse mentoring
1:13:38 service dealing with heart and mentoring
1:13:40 Duart to have an optimal version of
1:13:42 themselves to make an impact in that way
1:13:44 yeah and it's a free service obviously
1:13:46 we do one-to-one development and
1:13:48 answering questions and dealing with
1:13:50 people's doubts and people who have left
1:13:51 Islam and so on and so forth
1:13:53 now I've come to the conclusion based on
1:13:55 hours and hours and years and years of
1:13:57 experience on this
1:13:59 that we have most of the answers online
1:14:02 is true
1:14:03 but why do people have the same hearts
1:14:06 why do you have the same doubts why do
1:14:08 we have the same concerns even though
1:14:09 great answers are online
1:14:11 I'm coming to the conclusion that there
1:14:14 is a certain fantasy that we think
1:14:16 because everything is online and
1:14:18 everything is going to be solved or not
1:14:20 it's about
1:14:22 it's about you need different
1:14:25 means
1:14:27 if it was just about abstract writing
1:14:29 things online then Allah would have sent
1:14:32 the Quran and that's it the Quran would
1:14:35 have been enough
1:14:41 so he is a human manifestation of the
1:14:44 Quran he's a working Quran he he he he
1:14:47 related to people right he didn't say to
1:14:50 them I don't need to talk to you just
1:14:52 read this book no
1:14:54 he was the manifestation of the Quran he
1:14:56 was someone that people could relate to
1:14:59 and there is a transformational
1:15:01 psychology
1:15:04 when you deal with people on a
1:15:06 one-to-one basis and this is the same
1:15:09 when it comes to alien and that's what
1:15:10 about crises of knowledge at the moment
1:15:12 we think yeah I'm going to be in an
1:15:14 auditorium I'm going to write notes I'm
1:15:16 going to go online listen to a lecture
1:15:18 it's going to change my life it may do
1:15:20 but it won't have the impact
1:15:22 uh qualitatively and quantitatively as
1:15:25 much as we uh want why because it's like
1:15:29 an Unwritten spiritual law it's a Sunnah
1:15:32 of Allah that you have to have an
1:15:34 interaction
1:15:35 The Scholar of the Prophet saws
1:15:38 The Scholar of the sahab was the process
1:15:40 the scholar of the tabian or the sahaba
1:15:43 and so on and so forth so you need to
1:15:44 have that interactive experience to have
1:15:47 those transformational changes and we
1:15:48 know that when we see someone who's
1:15:49 really humble it transformed us to be
1:15:52 really humble
1:15:53 but if you read all the ayat and
1:15:55 humility in the Quran it might not be
1:15:56 enough
1:15:57 because you haven't understood it
1:15:58 properly you haven't internalized it in
1:15:59 the right way you don't have that part
1:16:00 of here
1:16:01 but just experiencing something with
1:16:03 humility you might just become humble
1:16:04 and that's the transformative effect of
1:16:06 being around people and that's why
1:16:08 online would be a disaster it'll be
1:16:10 impossible almost impossible to do this
1:16:13 so that was a long answer to that
1:16:16 okay brother says can uh our children
1:16:19 allowed 14 year old you need to email
1:16:21 The Visionaries at Sea Prince
1:16:23 institute.org with specific questions
1:16:24 like that so they're Visionaries at
1:16:27 sapience institute.org
1:16:33 uh what do you expect the average age to
1:16:35 be so Abdullah Abdullah Ahmed he says
1:16:38 the average age it's gonna vary I know
1:16:40 an 18 year old is coming and I think I
1:16:43 know and 78 year old is coming and we
1:16:45 had a question for an 84 year old to
1:16:47 come right so all ages all experiences
1:16:51 okay
1:16:52 and the quality of the people coming
1:16:54 absolutely phenomenal and if you come
1:16:56 and you don't have a background but you
1:16:57 think you have transferable skills and
1:16:58 you want a personal vision for your life
1:17:00 and maybe in the future an organization
1:17:02 one for the down you want to get
1:17:03 involved in the tower this is the place
1:17:05 to be because you're going to have great
1:17:06 networking you're going to have senior
1:17:08 people there with great skills and way
1:17:09 of being and a clock and adab and n and
1:17:12 it's going to be a transformative
1:17:13 experience remember you are the product
1:17:14 of the people around you put yourself in
1:17:16 great environments yeah the scholars of
1:17:19 tesquite enoughs they talk about if you
1:17:20 want to change your way of being change
1:17:22 your heart be around good people you
1:17:26 know look at the the dog that's
1:17:27 mentioned in the Quran the dog was saved
1:17:29 right and the people of the cave why is
1:17:31 the dog safe even considered raises this
1:17:33 question
1:17:34 and he answers it and what's the answer
1:17:37 well if Allah could save kind of a
1:17:38 lonely animal
1:17:40 because it happened to you with Pious
1:17:42 people then what would Allah do to your
1:17:44 life if you happen to be with Pious
1:17:45 people would change your life transform
1:17:47 it so yeah be come be around great
1:17:49 people
1:17:55 all right what else
1:17:58 are we done
1:18:03 any other questions brothers and sisters
1:18:05 if not I'm gonna wrap up in a few
1:18:08 moments
1:18:12 actually let me scroll down because uh
1:18:14 there may be questions here that
1:18:16 I haven't seen that relate to the
1:18:19 retreat
1:18:20 okay I've seen most of these
1:18:28 uh
1:18:35 that's it uh there's no other real
1:18:38 questions really concerning um
1:18:40 concerning this Retreat so Brothers this
1:18:42 is just to summarize
1:18:45 new income it's actually really cheap
1:18:48 it's
1:18:51 cheap for this type of event
1:18:53 as I said most likely we're not going to
1:18:56 get our money back on this
1:18:58 because that cost price which includes
1:19:00 other hidden costs
1:19:02 and we didn't do this to make money we
1:19:04 did this to make an impact and then
1:19:06 handle them out people that are coming
1:19:08 and who are coming the type of quality
1:19:10 and the work that they're doing and for
1:19:12 them to attend this it's just
1:19:13 overwhelming and it's humbling you know
1:19:16 and The Visionaries Retreat successful
1:19:19 down for 21st century brothers and
1:19:21 sisters is going to be a transformative
1:19:23 Retreat that's based on tarabia
1:19:27 Quran
1:19:30 picking up micro visions and targets
1:19:33 from there we're going to be going
1:19:35 through the whole of the Quran everyone
1:19:36 having a Jewish to pick the idea of
1:19:40 vision and so on and so forth we're
1:19:42 going to have sessions and vision and
1:19:43 strategy and principles and qualities
1:19:45 and all of these amazing things
1:19:47 and we want you to end up with three
1:19:49 main things number one you're gonna have
1:19:52 a vision for your personal life that's
1:19:56 in line with the Islamic concept of
1:19:57 success that's aligned with those three
1:19:59 main questions we mentioned earlier for
1:20:01 any questions and we give the examples
1:20:02 to them
1:20:04 you're gonna have a personal Vision an
1:20:06 organizational vision for the dollar and
1:20:08 those two are going to be linked you're
1:20:09 going to have a strategic Focus
1:20:11 that you know would necessarily link to
1:20:13 your personal Vision becoming the
1:20:15 reality and the organizational Dao
1:20:16 Vision to become a reality and you're
1:20:19 going to understand and be aware of the
1:20:20 14 key principles and qualities from the
1:20:22 Quran and the Sunnah in order to
1:20:24 understand who you must become in order
1:20:25 for all of this to be successful if
1:20:27 you're really sincere in the dialogue
1:20:28 even if you think you're doing great
1:20:29 having great success believe me if you
1:20:32 go through this process you'll have
1:20:33 greater success
1:20:35 because sometimes we tap ourselves on
1:20:36 the bank thinking on the back thinking
1:20:38 yeah I'm doing quite well
1:20:39 but we as Muslims we have to not do that
1:20:42 we have to think what am I not doing
1:20:45 that is that is stopping me getting even
1:20:49 better results and greater results
1:20:51 so that's very important to frame as
1:20:53 well to frame it that way as all
1:20:55 brothers and sisters so anyway what can
1:20:57 we say
1:20:58 I'm excited
1:21:00 um what we'll do is
1:21:03 um
1:21:04 uh is oh yeah what we'll do is uh
1:21:08 actually what am I saying now okay maybe
1:21:10 it's time to end so let me just end with
1:21:11 this I am committed to your well-being
1:21:13 inshallah what does that mean from a
1:21:16 prophetic perspective from a Sunday
1:21:17 perspective this means wanting goodness
1:21:19 and guidance so I want you to understand
1:21:21 the commitment that we are making is
1:21:23 that we're going to be committed to your
1:21:25 well-being
1:21:26 and what we mean by well-being in this
1:21:28 context is that we're going to come with
1:21:30 to you with an authentic version of
1:21:33 ourselves no there's going to be no
1:21:34 Undeclared intentions we're going to be
1:21:36 hopefully as humble as possible as
1:21:39 natural as possible and authentic as
1:21:40 possible and we're going to relate to
1:21:42 you in the most optimal way through our
1:21:44 behavior and through our utterances to
1:21:46 get the best out of you and us and the
1:21:47 whole situation yeah and you know
1:21:50 hopefully just from my own kind of work
1:21:52 in the past maybe six or seven years
1:21:55 there was actually let me end with the
1:21:57 story
1:22:01 um many many years ago when I was with
1:22:03 eye era and this before was the CEO of I
1:22:05 era and before we see managing sapiens I
1:22:09 was traveling around the world it was a
1:22:11 hectic period you know I had a
1:22:13 relatively large following for the
1:22:15 standards of that time you know social
1:22:16 media I was going to America I was
1:22:19 traveling to I think Malaysia I was
1:22:22 traveling the world doing this that and
1:22:24 the other
1:22:24 and I remember in Chicago there was this
1:22:26 one brother I don't remember his name
1:22:28 but he ripped into me man he was like
1:22:30 what are you doing this for what's going
1:22:32 on man so show it's so drama it's so
1:22:36 showing off it's so you know
1:22:39 and he related to the jahannamas or he
1:22:41 related to like being very very serious
1:22:43 about this issue because it's a grave
1:22:45 issue it's a serious weighty issue he
1:22:47 said look this is trophy just going
1:22:49 around the world you're like a superstar
1:22:50 or whatever you know you know showing
1:22:53 off or he was saying stuff like that the
1:22:55 way he communicated this with me really
1:22:57 effectively yeah so I remember coming
1:22:59 back to the higher office I spoke to the
1:23:01 operations manager at that time he was
1:23:02 Mohammed ashad who did some great work
1:23:03 by the way he does go to his website
1:23:05 Muslim ceo.com he does stuff on
1:23:08 leadership and speaker training and so
1:23:10 on and so forth yeah
1:23:12 um he basically I sat with him and I
1:23:14 explained to what happened in Chicago
1:23:15 and I broke down crying and that was a
1:23:18 very transformative
1:23:20 event for me because that I made the
1:23:23 decision after that to focus on
1:23:25 developing and empowering others because
1:23:27 I knew that I'm not going to last
1:23:28 forever I'm going to be irrelevant one
1:23:29 day I'm not going to be young forever
1:23:31 I'm not going to be around forever I
1:23:34 need to have a long-term vision for
1:23:36 myself I need to develop others
1:23:38 to be able to share Islam to optimize or
1:23:40 something and for them to be better than
1:23:41 me I'll be making Dua and sajdar saying
1:23:44 Allah I want people to be better than me
1:23:46 I'm about to give this course make them
1:23:48 better than me Allah which is the easy
1:23:50 thing to do right but you get the point
1:23:52 the point is that commitment to other
1:23:54 people because I know you know my life
1:23:56 as well you know I'm 42 years old now
1:23:58 God knows how long it's good how long is
1:24:00 left it's about that long-term Success
1:24:03 Vision for for genitals
1:24:06 what's happening the generation after me
1:24:08 the generation after so we have to focus
1:24:10 on process on approach on principles and
1:24:12 vision and strategy on people
1:24:15 sincere people with tarabia this is the
1:24:17 important thing that's how the barakas
1:24:19 that's that's where the Baraka is going
1:24:20 to be and Allah makes this clear Allah
1:24:22 will not change a situation over people
1:24:23 until the change was within themselves
1:24:24 the tough suit of this is you want the
1:24:27 ummah or the people won't change from a
1:24:29 good state to a bad State unless they've
1:24:31 changed something within themselves
1:24:32 they've lost their connection they maybe
1:24:34 remove themselves from principles and
1:24:35 the right qualities they're not having a
1:24:37 true Vision that's sincere and so on and
1:24:39 so forth they're just become a
1:24:41 utilitarian they're not focusing on the
1:24:43 right thing to do they're not focusing
1:24:44 on Allah's pleasure
1:24:46 so that was a transformation and that
1:24:47 opened the door to what we started doing
1:24:50 courses for our era we started doing
1:24:51 educational more educational content the
1:24:54 internal challenge The Mirage of atheism
1:24:55 of course and then that became the basis
1:24:57 of my book
1:24:58 well lying it's amazing and that book
1:25:00 now as we translate to over 10 languages
1:25:03 and then after I became CEO by Era and
1:25:05 by the will of Allah we increased
1:25:08 operations by over a thousand percent
1:25:09 funds by over 500 and after just under
1:25:12 three years we moved on to sapiens there
1:25:14 was a strategy change
1:25:16 the point is this is all from Allah but
1:25:18 I'm trying to show you that I want to
1:25:20 share these experiences with you and I'm
1:25:23 not saying this to blow my trumpet I'm
1:25:24 saying to her that I do have the
1:25:26 experience and I have you know developed
1:25:29 organizations and improved them from a
1:25:31 policy operation strategy visual point
1:25:32 of view and stuff like that however I
1:25:35 want you to understand that there's a
1:25:36 hell of a lot of mistakes made grave
1:25:38 mistakes there was humiliation there was
1:25:41 lack of yes sincerity there was lack of
1:25:43 connection with Allah I want you to
1:25:45 learn from the mistakes that I've made
1:25:47 and there's nothing more transformative
1:25:49 than me being authentic with you in that
1:25:51 Retreat to show you these are my
1:25:53 mistakes this is how you learn this is
1:25:55 this these are the successes this is how
1:25:57 you learn from them and even continue
1:25:59 further and be inspired by them and this
1:26:01 is what we want to give to you and it's
1:26:03 very rare that people from a Dao
1:26:05 organizational point of view who have
1:26:06 this type of professional endowed
1:26:08 experience can actually offer that to
1:26:10 you so that's what we're offering a very
1:26:12 cheap price brothers and sisters and may
1:26:14 Allah every single one of you if you
1:26:17 can't make it share this video when it
1:26:18 comes up and uh inshallah uh yeah take
1:26:23 care of yourselves man anything I've
1:26:24 said that's wrong or inaccurate is
1:26:26 obviously from shaytan and minus
1:26:27 anything that's good from Allah
1:26:30 take care of yourselves brothers and
1:26:31 sisters
