Summary of Londoniyyah - Part 21 - Muhammad ﷺ in the Bible

00:00:00 - 00:35:00
Londoniyyah discusses the possibility that Muhammad may have been one of the Jewish prophets. He points out the similarities between Muhammad's teachings and those found in the Bible, as well as the criticism directed towards Londoniyyah for claiming that Muhammad is the same as the biblical prophets. Dr. Ali Atai, a Hebrew scholar, is also interviewed and provides additional information on the subject.
00:00:00 Muhammad prophecies are found in the Bible, specifically in Isaiah and Isiah. These prophecies include descriptions of Muhammad, which were later confirmed by hadith.
- 00:05:00 provides a transcript of a YouTube video d "Londoniyyah - Part 21 - Muhammad ﷺ in the Bible", in which Ibn Tamiya discusses the possible preservation of the original Torah at the time of Muhammad. He believes that it was corrupted, but nonetheless provides insight into how the biblical verses described in the video are similar to those mentioned in the hadith.
- *00:10:00 Discusses the significance of Prophet Muhammad's arrival on earth, which is described in the Bible as a time when "justice will be spread through all of the world." Jews were not the only people to receive Prophets, and Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of Israel, further illustrating the localized nature of His message. Paul later reinterpreted Jesus' message to include Gentiles, and this led to Christianity becoming a universalizing religion.
- *00:15:00 Discusses how the biblical references to "captives" (meaning people who are in slavery) and "prison" (meaning a place where people are kept against their will) are similar to the references to " captives" and "prison" in the hadith. The hadith tells us that one of the purposes of Muhammad is to free captives from prison, and this is what the ayah in chapter 7 of the Quran is referring to. The parallels between the references are clear, and the video points out that Jesus is one of the sons of Ishmael, which would make him an Arab.
- *00:20:00 Discusses the significance of Muhammad being mentioned in the Bible, and points out that the jews in that area were expecting a prophet to come and this is not something which is absent in the Bible. It also mentions that Jacob was the father of the jews, and that god is being submitted here being defeated by the jews.
- *00:25:00 Discusses the possible interpretations of verses in the Quran which talk about a warrior coming out to fight on behalf of Allah. It argues that this warrior is not Jesus Christ because he did not try to achieve victory over his enemies, as described in the New Testament.
- *00:30:00 Discusses the Jewish scholar Safaria.com and its database of Jewish material, including the Talmud and other rabbinical rulings. also discusses how some scholars believe that the prophet Muhammad may have been one of the Jewish prophets.
- *00:35:00 Discusses the similarities between Muhammad's teachings and those found in the Bible, as well as the criticism directed towards Londoniyyah for claiming that Muhammad is the same as the biblical prophets. Dr. Ali Atai, a Hebrew scholar, is also interviewed and provides additional information on the subject.

0:00:13 how is everyone doing this is the ninth
0:00:15 session and we're going to be talking
0:00:16 something about something very important
0:00:17 which is about the prophecies
0:00:20 of
0:00:21 the prophet
0:00:22 muhammad that can be found in the bible
0:00:26 before i do that i'm going to leave it
0:00:27 to aquatic to
0:00:57 right so in this poem
0:00:59 uh the the
0:01:01 the novel basically mentions the
0:01:03 basically mentions
0:01:05 uh
0:01:06 which in arabic is
0:01:08 basically the book of isaiah
0:01:11 and the book of isaiah potentially is
0:01:13 the most clear or clear of what we have
0:01:15 today
0:01:17 in uh in terms of
0:01:19 the 42nd chapter of isaiah in terms of
0:01:22 predictions
0:01:23 or mentioning
0:01:25 of a prophet that's going to come in the
0:01:26 future
0:01:27 and when we go through it and we will go
0:01:29 through it it's going to be clear to us
0:01:31 that the
0:01:33 descriptions
0:01:34 are of
0:01:35 uh none other than the prophet muhammad
0:01:38 but before we do so i think it will be
0:01:40 befitting
0:01:41 to have some recite
0:01:44 chapter 7 157
0:01:46 which is a key ayah in the quran
0:01:49 which mentions some points which we
0:01:51 should also pay attention to so this is
0:01:53 chapter 7 verse 157
0:02:46 my
0:02:50 so i'm going to quickly read a
0:02:51 translation of that
0:02:53 uh they are the ones who follow the
0:02:55 messenger the unlettered prophet
0:02:57 whose description they found in the
0:02:59 torah and the injil the gospel he
0:03:01 commands them to do good and forbids
0:03:03 them from evil permits for them what is
0:03:05 lawful and forbids to them
0:03:07 what is impure and relieves them from
0:03:09 the burdens
0:03:11 and the shackles that
0:03:13 that
0:03:13 bound them
0:03:15 only those who believe in him honor and
0:03:17 support him and follow the light sent
0:03:19 down to him will be successful
0:03:24 now interestingly and this is in the
0:03:25 next slide
0:03:27 there is actually a hadith on this
0:03:30 matter and this hadith is in bukhari
0:03:33 and it's narrated as you can see
0:03:36 by
0:03:41 as you can see here
0:03:43 oh sorry yes
0:03:45 and here i'm going to read the english
0:03:49 it says
0:03:50 that he narrates that tell me about the
0:03:52 description of allah's messenger
0:03:54 which is mentioned in the torah
0:03:57 he replied yes by allah he is described
0:03:59 in the torah with some of the qualities
0:04:01 attributed to him in the quran as
0:04:04 follows
0:04:05 now bear in mind
0:04:07 that the books that we have now the old
0:04:09 testament or what is referred to as
0:04:10 torah or the first five books
0:04:13 they have undergone significant revision
0:04:15 there has been manuscripts that have
0:04:17 been found there have been changes that
0:04:19 have been made and that's
0:04:20 an open secret now it doesn't require
0:04:23 too much discussion
0:04:25 only someone who is a religious fanatic
0:04:27 or blind to the evidence would think
0:04:29 anything other than this
0:04:32 for example the masoretic text which
0:04:34 many of the
0:04:36 the old testament is very much of the
0:04:37 old testament translations are based on
0:04:40 underwent significant transformation
0:04:42 when they found the dead sea scrolls
0:04:44 in
0:04:45 the last 60 70 years whenever it was
0:04:46 they funded as these girls and so when
0:04:48 they now the old testament translations
0:04:51 make a decision for what goes in and
0:04:53 what is to be excluded from the old
0:04:54 testament they decide whether it's going
0:04:56 to be the masoretic text or whether it's
0:04:59 going to be the dead sea scrolls and or
0:05:01 if it's going to be the septuagint and
0:05:03 for those who don't know the septuagint
0:05:05 is a greek translation of the old
0:05:07 testament
0:05:08 now you may ask what was a greek
0:05:10 translation of the old testament doing
0:05:12 as one of the primary sources for trying
0:05:14 to find out what the old testament is
0:05:17 they consider it one of the most
0:05:19 important and primary sources and in
0:05:22 fact what they have to do is translate
0:05:23 it into hebrew so there's a translation
0:05:25 process
0:05:27 and it's not inconceivable to think that
0:05:29 they would actually prefer a septuagint
0:05:31 translation
0:05:33 over and above for example a dead sea
0:05:35 manuscript translation it's that's that
0:05:37 has happened that does happen
0:05:39 and so many of the times you maybe a
0:05:41 section of the bible will depend
0:05:44 entirely on
0:05:45 a translation of a he of of a text from
0:05:49 the greek into the hebrew so this is the
0:05:51 kind of thing we are dealing with
0:05:53 we are not dealing with a book that has
0:05:55 been preserved
0:05:56 and so at the time of the prophet
0:06:02 it's important to know
0:06:03 that what they what they were reading
0:06:05 then is different to what we're reading
0:06:06 now and ibn tamiya believes in his hijab
0:06:10 uh
0:06:11 his major work on on kind of comparative
0:06:14 religion
0:06:15 he believes actually and this is a
0:06:16 minority opinion
0:06:18 it is a minority opinion that the torah
0:06:20 in its original form was actually
0:06:22 preserved at the time of the prophet he
0:06:25 believes that whereas in hajjar and
0:06:27 others they disagree with that and
0:06:29 they show that actually it has been
0:06:31 uh you know corrupted and so on
0:06:35 so this is the relevance because you'd
0:06:36 be thinking okay why why is he
0:06:37 mentioning what's in the torah if they
0:06:39 told us
0:06:40 if it's corrupted
0:06:42 there's two ways of answering that
0:06:43 question if you go with the majority
0:06:44 opinions because a that part of the
0:06:46 torah would not be maharaf
0:06:49 and or be
0:06:50 that actually the torah would not have
0:06:52 been muhammad couldn't see me at that
0:06:53 time which is corrupted
0:06:55 in either event it's not a problem for
0:06:57 us what isn't what is interesting about
0:06:59 this is that now you have this companion
0:07:03 telling us what he is reading from the
0:07:04 torah
0:07:05 at the time of the prophet
0:07:10 he said he replied yes by allah he is
0:07:12 describing the torah with some of the
0:07:14 qualities attributed to him in the quran
0:07:16 as follows oh prophet we have sent you
0:07:18 as a witness
0:07:19 for allah's true religion and the giver
0:07:21 of glad tidings
0:07:23 to the faithful believers and of warner
0:07:25 to the unbelievers and a guardian of the
0:07:27 illiterates you are my slave and i am
0:07:30 and my messenger okay
0:07:33 i have named you el mota
0:07:35 or the one one who depends upon allah
0:07:38 you are neither discourteous harsh
0:07:41 nor a noisemaker in the markets and you
0:07:43 do not do evil to those who do evil to
0:07:46 you but you deal with them
0:07:48 with forgiveness
0:07:50 and kindness
0:07:52 allah will not let him the prophet die
0:07:54 till he makes straight the crooked
0:07:55 people by making them say non has the
0:07:58 right to be worshipped by allah
0:08:01 with which
0:08:02 will be open blind eyes and deaf ears
0:08:04 and enveloped hearts now interesting
0:08:06 because
0:08:07 we are going to read now the biblical
0:08:09 verses
0:08:11 and they're there in the slides but i'm
0:08:12 going to read them
0:08:13 myself
0:08:14 and i want you to just think about those
0:08:16 those are the descriptions that i
0:08:18 mentioned the hadith whilst now we read
0:08:22 isaiah chapter 42.
0:08:29 here is my servant whom i uphold
0:08:33 my chosen one in whom i delight
0:08:37 i will put my spirit on him and he will
0:08:39 bring justice to the nations
0:08:42 he will not shout or cry out or raise
0:08:44 his voice in the streets what does that
0:08:46 remind you of
0:08:47 the hadith
0:08:48 we just read yeah
0:08:50 and bear in mind also that not shouting
0:08:52 and crying out is something which is in
0:08:53 the quran
0:08:55 in the ankle
0:08:58 which is
0:09:00 when lokman was giving advice to his son
0:09:02 he said that the worst of voices are the
0:09:03 voices of
0:09:05 you know the donkeys so don't raise your
0:09:08 voice too much don't shout
0:09:10 don't shout out
0:09:14 a bruised reed he will not break and a
0:09:17 smoldering wick he will not snuff out
0:09:20 in faithfulness he will bring forth
0:09:21 justice
0:09:23 he will not he will not falter or be
0:09:25 discouraged till he establish justice on
0:09:28 earth
0:09:30 now this is interesting
0:09:32 because the word
0:09:35 in the hebrew language
0:09:37 which means the earth
0:09:38 it's not something specific
0:09:41 here it's uh
0:09:43 it's indefinite
0:09:45 it's talking about the entire earth
0:09:48 in fact and we know that jewish
0:09:50 tradition says that actually
0:09:52 prophethood was only sent to
0:09:54 the jews
0:09:55 so this this person who who's obviously
0:09:57 being described here
0:09:59 he's going to come not to the jewish
0:10:01 people or the children of israel he's
0:10:02 going to come to all of the world and
0:10:04 he's going to try and spread justice
0:10:05 through all of the world
0:10:07 and this is extremely significant
0:10:10 he will not be he will not falter or be
0:10:11 discouraged till he establish
0:10:13 establishes justice on the earth
0:10:15 in his law the islands will put their
0:10:17 help
0:10:18 the islands and this is plural now
0:10:23 this is what god the lord says he who
0:10:25 created the heavens and the and
0:10:27 the earth
0:10:29 sorry he who created the heavens and
0:10:31 stretched them out he who spread out the
0:10:33 earth and all that comes out of it
0:10:35 who gives breath to its people and life
0:10:38 to those who walk on it
0:10:40 i the lord and this kind of language is
0:10:41 similar to what you find in the quran
0:10:45 you know
0:10:49 i the lord have called you in
0:10:51 righteousness i will hold of your hand i
0:10:54 will keep you and will make you to to be
0:10:57 a covenant for the people and the light
0:10:59 for the gentiles
0:11:01 now the gentiles are non-jews
0:11:05 very interestingly
0:11:09 first of all all jewish prophets were
0:11:11 not sent as gentiles they were sent to
0:11:13 the children of israel
0:11:15 but even jesus for the for christians
0:11:17 who want to say this is about jesus
0:11:19 he wasn't sent to the gentiles he
0:11:22 himself stated that he was sent to the
0:11:24 lost sheep of israel a very famous
0:11:26 narration i'm not sure if any of you
0:11:27 know it and you should know this
0:11:28 narration
0:11:30 because it
0:11:31 it's it's it's actually
0:11:33 and we would say this definitely didn't
0:11:35 happen
0:11:37 but this indicates racism and
0:11:38 discrimination
0:11:40 uh a canaanite woman came to jesus
0:11:44 in the bible the new testament now
0:11:47 and she asked him to heal her
0:11:49 and he says he doesn't he called her a
0:11:51 dog basically
0:11:53 you know
0:11:55 after she begged him a little bit more
0:11:56 he healed her
0:11:59 and they say well that abra gets the
0:12:00 first thing it doesn't abrogate anything
0:12:01 he still called her a dog because she
0:12:03 was a gentile she wasn't a jew
0:12:05 and you could look at
0:12:06 this very famous verse
0:12:09 and jesus in the new testament said do
0:12:11 not go in the way of the gentiles
0:12:13 for i was only sent to the lost sheep of
0:12:15 israel
0:12:16 very clear and decisive verse it's only
0:12:19 really
0:12:20 when you look at the history of
0:12:22 christianity
0:12:23 when did christianity become a
0:12:24 universalizing religion
0:12:27 it became a universalizing religion
0:12:29 when paul
0:12:30 had an interpretation
0:12:32 of christianity
0:12:34 which was universalizing which was
0:12:37 we'll go to the gentiles and so on
0:12:40 but i'm not sure if you guys know who
0:12:42 james is who knows who james is
0:12:43 according to christians
0:12:46 yeah the brother of jesus christ they
0:12:48 believe he's the brother of jesus christ
0:12:50 and james if you look at
0:12:53 the books of
0:12:55 he was supposedly written and so on
0:12:57 he was firmly on the old covenant he
0:12:59 firmly believed in the law or the jews
0:13:02 today called the halacha he firmly
0:13:04 believed in all that in fact
0:13:05 he
0:13:06 and we can go into this but he tested
0:13:08 paul himself
0:13:11 about things like circumcision i mean
0:13:12 they were fighting each other for a
0:13:13 circumcision
0:13:14 you know he tested paul to see if he in
0:13:17 fact believed in the law
0:13:19 and paul
0:13:20 replied that yes he believes in the law
0:13:22 he believed that you know and he was he
0:13:24 was lying actually because when you look
0:13:26 at his books there's 13 books in the new
0:13:28 testament attributed to paul
0:13:30 all of them indicate that he wasn't he
0:13:31 doesn't believe he believes in a new
0:13:33 covenant he believes that jesus
0:13:36 the fact that he died for the sins
0:13:38 of humanity means that we don't have to
0:13:40 abide by that law so he pretended
0:13:43 when he was in front of james
0:13:45 to abide by the law but when
0:13:47 in his own teachings
0:13:50 he uh
0:13:52 he didn't abide by the law so the
0:13:53 universalizing message of christianity
0:13:57 was partly because of paul and then
0:14:00 because of the roman empire when they
0:14:02 when they took on christianity it
0:14:03 couldn't be a localized religion for the
0:14:04 jews it had to be something which was
0:14:06 universalized for everyone otherwise
0:14:08 policy could not be extracted from it
0:14:10 and unity unity cannot be made from it
0:14:13 but if you look at the explicit verses
0:14:17 of the uh
0:14:19 of of the bible you can easily make a
0:14:21 case
0:14:22 for the localized nature of the message
0:14:24 of jesus himself do not go in the way of
0:14:27 you know the gentiles for i was only
0:14:29 sent to the lost sheep of israel
0:14:31 but the fact that this is not jesus will
0:14:33 become even more clear
0:14:35 in the verses that follow
0:14:37 he stated i the lord
0:14:40 have called you in righteousness
0:14:42 i will take hold of your hand i will
0:14:44 keep you and will make you
0:14:46 to be a covenant for the people and the
0:14:49 light for the gentiles
0:14:50 to open the to open eyes that's our
0:14:53 blind and what does that remind you of
0:14:56 to open eyes that are blind the
0:14:57 christians will say this is you know
0:14:59 this is jesus but what did we see in the
0:15:01 hadith
0:15:02 we saw this exact terminology
0:15:05 who remembers what the hadith said
0:15:07 yeah um
0:15:09 which will be opened blind eyes and
0:15:11 death is and enveloped hearts
0:15:16 exactly to open eyes
0:15:19 that are blind
0:15:21 to free captives from prison and to
0:15:24 release them from the dungeon what does
0:15:27 that remind you of
0:15:31 not the hadith but something even
0:15:38 clearer this this sentence here says
0:15:43 to free captives from prison
0:15:50 say again slavery
0:15:52 this is captive so it could be uh yeah
0:15:55 any prisoners
0:15:56 uh the congress
0:15:59 no
0:15:59 what did we just read in the beginning
0:16:01 of the uh
0:16:02 thing
0:16:03 in the surah in chapter 7 157
0:16:08 can you go back to that
0:16:09 can you go back to the translation of
0:16:11 that
0:16:19 okay yeah
0:16:33 how is that
0:16:35 and translated them from the burdens and
0:16:37 the shackles that bound them beautiful
0:16:39 so they were imprisoned they were in
0:16:41 shackles and then
0:16:43 they were made free from those shackles
0:16:45 so what do we find here we find here it
0:16:47 says
0:16:48 to open the eyes that are blind which is
0:16:49 in the hadith to free captives from
0:16:51 prison meaning to release them from the
0:16:53 shackles and release them from the
0:16:54 dungeon
0:16:56 okay so this is not okay there's not an
0:16:57 actual dungeon this metaphoric speech
0:17:02 those who sit in darkness so if if those
0:17:04 who are sitting in darkness that must
0:17:06 mean that the person that is coming must
0:17:08 be coming with what
0:17:10 like and what does the ayah continue to
0:17:12 say
0:17:26 right so so the following these people
0:17:28 that are in darkness in the dungeons are
0:17:30 now following a light
0:17:32 so the ayah is there
0:17:34 the hadith is that and now you have this
0:17:36 can you see the parallel so far
0:17:40 but the parallels become even more
0:17:42 clear when we continue he continues i am
0:17:46 the lord that is my name i will not give
0:17:49 my glory to another or praise to idols
0:17:52 see the former things that have taken
0:17:53 place and new things i declare
0:17:55 before they spring
0:17:57 into being so if before they speak into
0:17:59 being means this is about the present or
0:18:00 the future
0:18:02 future because this i announce them to
0:18:05 you he's going to announce the future
0:18:07 sing to the lord a new song
0:18:11 his praise from the ends of the earth
0:18:13 you who go down to the sea and all that
0:18:16 is in it
0:18:17 you islands and all who live in them
0:18:19 let the desert and its towns raise their
0:18:22 voices let the settlements where kedar
0:18:25 lives rejoice
0:18:27 now in the bible
0:18:30 and you'll see this from your slides
0:18:32 it's clear who kedar is who is kedar
0:18:36 jesus yeah he's one of the sons of
0:18:38 ishmael right
0:18:40 so he can't be one
0:18:43 he can't be jewish it's finished
0:18:46 he must be wha
0:18:49 he's an arab
0:18:50 ishmael is the father of all of the
0:18:52 arabs
0:18:53 now i'm going to read to you exactly
0:18:55 what it says in the bible so
0:18:57 this is not
0:18:58 telling you
0:18:59 this is
0:19:03 genesis chapter 25 verse 13.
0:19:07 and these are the names of the sons of
0:19:09 ishmael by their names according to
0:19:11 their generation the first born of
0:19:13 ishmael
0:19:14 and then
0:19:16 nebajoth
0:19:18 pronounced his name and kedar and adbil
0:19:21 and mibsam
0:19:23 so these are the names of who the sons
0:19:25 of ishmael it's made
0:19:27 okay
0:19:28 now where are they
0:19:30 well the bible tells us ezekiel chapter
0:19:32 27 verse 21
0:19:34 the arabians and the princes of kedar
0:19:37 sent merchants to trade lambs and rams
0:19:39 and mail goats in exchange for your
0:19:41 goods
0:19:42 so they are located in arabia
0:19:45 so you have these people that are
0:19:47 located in arabia who are arabs
0:19:50 and of all of the nations the canaanites
0:19:52 here malik every single nation that the
0:19:54 bible mentions which
0:19:56 could be i don't know in the dozens yeah
0:19:59 in this very verse
0:20:02 it mentions kedar the arabs
0:20:07 how significant is that
0:20:12 that's extremely significant i mean no
0:20:14 and this is so decisive
0:20:17 that it will
0:20:19 have an impact on someone who truly
0:20:21 believes in this book
0:20:22 how could it not
0:20:24 it's literally talking about which other
0:20:26 arab
0:20:27 came to the arabian peninsula and did
0:20:30 any of these things
0:20:31 let alone all of these things and
0:20:34 claimed prophethood
0:20:37 and was followed
0:20:39 not just that he was actually followed
0:20:41 not muslim
0:20:42 who was not followed then
0:20:44 relegated to the trash heap of history
0:20:51 let the people of selah sing for joy and
0:20:52 let them shout from the mountaintops
0:20:55 many have said sella here
0:20:57 is talking about the mountains in medina
0:21:00 which are actually called salah
0:21:02 now what is really interesting is that
0:21:04 you know if you read the seerah you'll
0:21:05 find that the
0:21:07 the jews in that area they have actually
0:21:10 gone to that area
0:21:12 because
0:21:13 they were expecting
0:21:15 a prophet to come
0:21:21 and this is not something which is
0:21:22 absent in the bible
0:21:25 in the very book of isaiah and i forget
0:21:27 the exact reference we can get it yeah
0:21:29 they were expecting a profit to come
0:21:31 from the quote-unquote thickets of
0:21:33 arabia
0:21:34 the thickets of arabia
0:21:36 so why is it the jews went to arabia
0:21:38 anyway they went there according to the
0:21:40 seerah
0:21:41 because they wanted they were expecting
0:21:42 a prophet i was going to come in the
0:21:43 future
0:21:44 the bible actually mentions
0:21:46 it gives them that
0:21:47 that indication and if you if you read
0:21:49 the story of
0:21:51 uh for example
0:21:55 who is safiya's father actually one of
0:21:57 the prophet's wives who's a jew
0:22:00 ethnically jewish
0:22:03 and she had that dream
0:22:04 why did he get so angry
0:22:06 do you remember that dream she had a
0:22:08 dream that basically the
0:22:10 i think it was the son of the moon you
0:22:12 know came into our house and
0:22:14 and he he hit her he abused her like you
0:22:17 beating her up slapped her in her face
0:22:20 he understood interpreted the dreamers
0:22:22 the prophet is going to
0:22:24 come and he interprets the dreamers it's
0:22:26 not going to be a jew either
0:22:28 so because he was able to interpret the
0:22:29 dream in that way
0:22:30 he he got immediately triggered and he
0:22:33 abused his daughter he slapped him
0:22:36 which shows that these jewish people
0:22:39 this is just one of many stories by the
0:22:40 way they they knew
0:22:42 that the prophet because their bible
0:22:44 tells them i mean not their bible but
0:22:46 the old testament the the hebrew bible
0:22:49 the torah whether it was preserved or
0:22:51 not at that time
0:22:52 whatever it was it told them that
0:22:56 that it was going to be in the thickets
0:22:57 of arabia maybe they were hoping it
0:22:59 would be a jew just like them
0:23:01 because a lot of it is tribal remember
0:23:04 this old testament describes ismail as a
0:23:07 wild man
0:23:11 you can easily see with all due respect
0:23:14 and i have no problem saying this the
0:23:16 racism in this book
0:23:19 yeah because they depict
0:23:22 for tribal reasons
0:23:23 they depict uh you know the arabians
0:23:27 as such and such and
0:23:29 they depict
0:23:30 the the jews as such and such
0:23:32 it's it's clear
0:23:35 the issues here
0:23:37 and second secondarily like ismail is a
0:23:40 wild man yeah
0:23:42 but not just this
0:23:44 the way that they subject god
0:23:47 whoever the
0:23:48 harifa corrupted this book
0:23:50 to a subordinate position respective to
0:23:53 their tribe is clear
0:23:55 god repented to israel can you imagine
0:23:57 that's a biblical verse god repented to
0:24:00 israel
0:24:01 you know the almighty god repented to
0:24:03 israel
0:24:04 god wrestled jacob and he lost the
0:24:07 wrestling match
0:24:09 what kind of thing is this okay it's a
0:24:10 metaphor okay it was the angel but it's
0:24:12 just what kind of metaphor is this
0:24:14 anyway
0:24:15 jacob obviously is the father of jews so
0:24:18 god is being submitted here being
0:24:21 defeated here the imagery whether it's
0:24:22 metaphorical otherwise
0:24:24 he's being defeated by the jewish super
0:24:27 tribe
0:24:29 and
0:24:30 and god is being forced to repent to
0:24:32 this jewish super tribe and so you can
0:24:35 see it's like any anyone who knows a
0:24:36 tribal society knows how important tribe
0:24:39 is and so imagine now they have to
0:24:41 contend with the fact that this last
0:24:43 prophet that's going to come that's
0:24:44 mentioned in their book is actually from
0:24:46 the other guys
0:24:48 the cousins
0:24:53 so we continue
0:24:55 let the settlements where kedar lives
0:24:56 rejoice why where they live
0:24:59 because that is and this by the way it
0:25:01 nullifies jesus from being a contender
0:25:03 he was not sent to that area at all
0:25:05 it's finished now isn't it because you
0:25:07 know i can say well he's talking about
0:25:08 jesus oh because the eyes and the
0:25:09 blindness jesus was not sent to arabia
0:25:12 by consensus
0:25:14 whether it's with bethlehem or somewhere
0:25:16 else but it was not it was certainly not
0:25:18 arabia or the hijas region or the kedar
0:25:21 let the people of cella sing for joy let
0:25:23 the let them shout from the mountaintops
0:25:26 so there were mountains in the area as
0:25:27 we know medina does have mountains
0:25:30 let the people of selah sing for joy let
0:25:32 them shout of the mountains let them
0:25:34 give glory to to god or to lord and
0:25:36 proclaim his praise in the island
0:25:40 the lord will march out like a mighty
0:25:41 man
0:25:43 like a warrior he will stir up his zeal
0:25:46 so he is talking about a warrior we can
0:25:48 say i was talking about the lord but
0:25:49 this language of the lord going out and
0:25:51 fighting
0:25:53 sometimes that is used to depict those
0:25:56 who are going to go out and fighting on
0:25:58 his behalf and i can send you guys
0:26:00 inshaallah references for that it's we
0:26:01 can easily prove that in the bible and
0:26:03 the lord is coming out meaning
0:26:05 those people are coming out
0:26:06 but he's a warrior
0:26:08 so it is once again if this is how we
0:26:09 interpret it then that disqualifies
0:26:11 jesus christ
0:26:12 like a warrior he will stir up his zeal
0:26:16 with a shout he will raise the battle
0:26:17 cry
0:26:19 and we will triumph over his enemies
0:26:23 so that's what i mean once again we it's
0:26:25 not jesus
0:26:27 because he according to all according to
0:26:29 us he tried he actually did he he
0:26:31 triumphed over his enemies but according
0:26:32 to them his their narrative he certainly
0:26:34 didn't i mean
0:26:37 and by the way just on this side note i
0:26:40 will cover this more in detail the
0:26:41 crucifixion
0:26:42 it's it's really interesting to look at
0:26:44 psalms 92
0:26:46 because psalms 92 almost like even
0:26:48 augustine
0:26:49 major scholar he considered that to be a
0:26:51 prophecy of jesus and you know what he
0:26:53 said in psalms 9 2 it seems that the
0:26:55 angels will raise him up now obviously
0:26:57 that
0:26:58 but he'll be saved like basically the
0:27:00 the massanic figure will be saved
0:27:03 he will not be uh killed
0:27:05 basically he'll be saved
0:27:07 and so our narrative is in line with the
0:27:09 prophecies in the old testament way more
0:27:11 than their narratives are
0:27:13 whether it relates to jesus or whether
0:27:15 it relates to muhammad and they can't
0:27:17 make this relate to jesus
0:27:24 for a long time now
0:27:26 i have kept silent i have been quiet and
0:27:28 held myself back but now like a woman in
0:27:31 childbirth i cry cry out i gasp and pant
0:27:35 i will lay waste the mountains and hills
0:27:38 and dry up all their vegetation
0:27:42 i will turn rivers into islands and dry
0:27:44 up the the pools i will lead the blind
0:27:48 by ways they have not known
0:27:50 along unfamiliar paths i will guide them
0:27:53 i will turn the darkness into light
0:27:55 before them
0:27:56 and make the rough places smooth
0:27:59 there are the things i will do i will
0:28:01 not forsake them
0:28:03 but those who trust in idols who say
0:28:05 to images you are my gods
0:28:07 will be turned back into utter shame
0:28:10 a very islamic message indeed
0:28:12 and then it continues
0:28:14 but this is um
0:28:22 yes yes
0:28:23 um
0:28:24 but what i will say is uh this
0:28:26 before we uh because it's going to be a
0:28:28 pretty short session in terms of what we
0:28:30 cover
0:28:31 who they say it is so i wanted to find
0:28:32 out who they who i mean who are they the
0:28:34 jewish people because we know that
0:28:36 christians are going to say for the most
0:28:37 part is christ and that's very weak as
0:28:40 we've seen
0:28:41 but jewish people say
0:28:43 the identification of the servant in
0:28:44 these verses
0:28:46 so
0:28:46 possibilities include cyrus
0:28:50 cyrus to get a great according to sadia
0:28:52 okay they say cyrus cyrus was a
0:28:54 polytheist
0:28:55 by his
0:28:59 and this sadia keeps coming up and
0:29:01 by the way the jews have something
0:29:02 called
0:29:03 mid russian so there they have something
0:29:05 called
0:29:08 they have something called halacha and
0:29:10 haggadah
0:29:16 and then you had something called
0:29:17 midrash or the midrashian
0:29:20 the midrashim is the plural of the word
0:29:21 midrash which is basically the exegesis
0:29:25 of the old testament in this case
0:29:28 midrash rabba
0:29:30 is the um the interpretation of the exit
0:29:32 jesus of the first five books of
0:29:35 the old testament which they considered
0:29:37 to be the torah
0:29:39 they don't have midrash for this because
0:29:40 clearly it's not in the five first first
0:29:42 five books it's another book the first
0:29:44 it was like this fifth or sixth book of
0:29:46 the prophets
0:29:47 the naviyam
0:29:49 uh
0:29:50 the navi is basically a nebby
0:29:52 so this is in that collection
0:29:55 so they don't have
0:29:56 i have not come across midrash on this
0:29:58 but what we see what we're looking at
0:29:59 here is now the opinions these guys
0:30:02 sadia and uh
0:30:04 you know you know ibn ezra and
0:30:08 these names they keep coming up
0:30:11 they're the most authoritative names
0:30:13 basically yes
0:30:17 uh from when i looked at it it wasn't
0:30:19 complete i don't think it's complete i
0:30:22 think uh
0:30:24 i mean it's
0:30:27 they definitely have it for genesis
0:30:30 it's called
0:30:31 genesis rubber
0:30:33 i think they they certainly have of
0:30:34 exodus now leviticus and deuteronomy's
0:30:37 numbers i i have to look again and see
0:30:39 if it's complete because from when i
0:30:40 looked at it last time i wasn't actually
0:30:42 complete i had the whole set in front of
0:30:43 me
0:30:44 uh but you can basically there's a
0:30:46 website if you want to know about jewish
0:30:47 stuff
0:30:48 safaria.com s-e-f-a-r-i-a
0:30:52 and this is the most compendious
0:30:55 encyclopedic
0:30:56 uh database for jewish material whether
0:30:59 it's the talmud because remember the
0:31:01 talmud is are the rulings that you had
0:31:04 that and the ishmael
0:31:06 if you like of the jewish scholars from
0:31:09 from whenever it was and they have two
0:31:11 major talmuds they have the the
0:31:13 babylonian talmud and they have the
0:31:15 palestinian talmud
0:31:17 okay so you have two talmuds where
0:31:19 you'll find rulings and then as i've
0:31:21 mentioned
0:31:22 you then have the commentaries like
0:31:24 midrash the mid-russian like genesis
0:31:27 rubber
0:31:28 like
0:31:29 you know
0:31:31 you know exodus rubber and so on you
0:31:33 know these are the you'll find them on
0:31:34 there
0:31:35 and then you'll find um the talmudic
0:31:37 stuff
0:31:38 and a whole range of commentaries and
0:31:40 discussions and stuff like that
0:31:42 safari is by far the best
0:31:44 resource you can access jewish material
0:31:47 on
0:31:48 and so yeah i mean for sure we can say
0:31:50 that we can say that
0:31:54 so that's one it can't be thyris now
0:31:56 some of them say cyrus
0:32:00 yes
0:32:01 exactly beautiful right but they say
0:32:03 because he went left to east and west he
0:32:05 must have went to the uk they need
0:32:06 someone that has been in that area right
0:32:09 so they say it's him he's a polytheist
0:32:11 there's even there's even extra biblical
0:32:13 information saying that
0:32:15 he was worshiping i don't know this god
0:32:16 and that god and it's engraved in stone
0:32:18 like you can easily find this stuff
0:32:21 some people say it's um
0:32:28 the prophet himself so they're talking
0:32:30 this case about azaya
0:32:31 so some say says isaiah but if it's
0:32:33 isaiah
0:32:35 why is he talking about him in the
0:32:36 future ten
0:32:37 why was he talking about himself like
0:32:39 that in the future
0:32:40 if you look at the book of isaiah when
0:32:42 he does talk about himself he doesn't
0:32:44 in the third person but he doesn't ever
0:32:45 speak about himself in the future tense
0:32:47 so this
0:32:49 he's one of the prophets they consider
0:32:50 him a prophet
0:32:52 no no no
0:32:54 yeah exactly right now but they would
0:32:56 argue it doesn't say that the person
0:32:57 himself has to be arab
0:32:59 he said that the people he's going to
0:33:00 are arab so you've got to be careful of
0:33:02 these nuances
0:33:03 but
0:33:05 the point is
0:33:06 he's talking in the future
0:33:09 i mean it's it's it's not him right
0:33:11 because if it's talking about the future
0:33:12 how could it be him
0:33:14 the messiah
0:33:16 okay the messiah which means for the
0:33:18 jews they'd still think he hasn't come
0:33:19 yet
0:33:21 this is this person who fulfilled all
0:33:22 this criterion but for the christians it
0:33:24 has to say it's jesus which we say it
0:33:26 doesn't fulfill any other criteria
0:33:29 and this is the most the last gasp
0:33:34 uh rashi rashi is a big name once again
0:33:36 he says it's uh the israel the israelite
0:33:39 nation as a whole
0:33:42 which i mean it's very difficult right
0:33:45 because it's clearly talking about one
0:33:47 person throughout
0:33:49 in fact it uses the word
0:33:51 which is exactly the same zabadi
0:33:54 you know the the hebrew language which i
0:33:57 had to study at a very very basic level
0:34:00 and don't
0:34:01 quiz me on it
0:34:04 has very similar words
0:34:06 they don't have a
0:34:07 ver per se they don't have like that but
0:34:09 there is it's a it is a bet
0:34:12 which is the bear so in the beginning
0:34:13 when i saw this is
0:34:15 literally saying abdi
0:34:16 is spelt in the same way as you know
0:34:19 they have iron as well
0:34:21 you know and they have a bet it's like
0:34:24 the hyena and the
0:34:25 bear and so on they have a dalet we have
0:34:27 a da
0:34:29 you know
0:34:30 they have a a
0:34:32 you know
0:34:38 you know the hebrew language is quite
0:34:39 interesting because it's very similar to
0:34:41 the arabic language
0:34:45 you know
0:34:46 i know
0:34:58 sounds quite similar to one two three
0:34:59 four five in arabic isn't it
0:35:02 you know and so on
0:35:04 so if you look at even some of the words
0:35:07 you know he is the one who is
0:35:10 chosen the chosen one
0:35:13 the same even some of the lexico
0:35:15 wordings there is concurrent with what
0:35:17 we find in the quran and sunnah by the
0:35:19 prophet muhammad
0:35:21 it's not ibadi
0:35:23 they would have to also make it plural
0:35:24 if he's talking about
0:35:26 israel as a nation why is it why is it

0:35:43 this like i said abu zakir is bringing
0:35:45 something out and there's a man called
0:35:47 dr ali atai

0:35:51 very good he knows hebrew very well he's
